I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A Hunted Man was so much different than I expected. There was mystery, suspense, and of course romance threaded throughout. I didn't expect to be thrown in to this story like I was. It was different than a lot of M/M reads out there, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Cameron (Cam) Pierce has just been released from prison after serving 10 years. In his adjustment to his new life, he meets Hunter Donovan, an Assistant State Attorney. The connection between these two is on fire. They are intense. You feel that spark between them. When Cam's past rears its ugly head, the two men realize they are connected in more ways than they would imagine. Hunter is placed in a position where he has to save Cam. And he refuses to let him go without a fight.
I found the romance in this story to be very sweet, intense, and passionate. Cam and Hunter gradually fell in love. While their attraction was immediate, they took their time as both were hesitant. The build up was slow, but oh so hot! Their stolen moments. Stolen kisses. It was heartfelt. Neither had been with someone in years. Yet they ignited something within themselves the moment they met.
A Hunted Man attested to the fact that love conquers all. Hunter loved Cam beyond his past. Beyond his faults. He never gave up on him. They loved with a love so fierce. The mystery and suspense elements gave this story a lot of depth. You didn't know what would happen next and kept you guessing. Overall, I found this story to be an interesting read and would recommend it to anyone that enjoys the M/M genre.

Jaime Reese is the alter ego of an artist who loves the creative process of writing, just not about herself. Fiction is far more interesting. She has a weakness for broken, misunderstood heroes and feels everyone deserves a chance at love and life. An avid fan of a happy ending, she believes those endings acquired with a little difficulty are more cherished.
