Sadly, that destiny has led her back to the place that broke her.
And more importantly, it has led her back to the man who broke her.
But Ava is no longer the scared, lost girl she once was. Ava is stronger, and she will not allow her past, taint her future.
Six months later, Ava travels back to Los Angeles for an event that embraces the true meaning of love. Sadly for Ava, her meaning of true love has been lost.
And thatâs because of one life changing event that has altered her life forever.
Los Angeles is not how Ava left it. Things have changed. People have changed. She has changed. But what has remained untouched is her passionate love for Jasper White.
But does Jasper feel the same?
I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Something told me this would be a FIVE star read. I knew it the moment I read the synopsis. Monica James you were always a favorite author of mine, but now you are on the âbuy anything she writesâ shelf!
This book gave me chills. It gave me all the FEELS. Every time Jasper spoke, it was with conviction, and it made me fall for him more and more each time. The book picks up at a point where I was least expecting. Things were definitely different than the last time we left Jasper and Ava. Oh and jerkface, Harper is back. In ways you wouldnât believe!
The minute Jasper and Ava are reunited you feel everything: anger, disgust, passion, but most of all love. Despite the circumstances Jasper and Ava are still very much in love with each other. If you think you know what is going to happen in Surrender To Me, you are highly mistaken. The things that occur in this story will make you back track in your reading and leave you with your mouth wide open. Yes, Monica James goes there! Her writing is flawless and exciting.
âMy heart is yours. It beats for no one but you. Do you hear me? Only you.â
When I thought I couldnât love Jasper anymore I did. When I thought Jasper couldnât be anymore wonderful, he was. Words canât express how much more I connected to this story and their characters. I loved the first book, but fell head over heels in the second. Monicaâs writing keeps the reader intrigued. When you start this book, be sure you have free time because youâre going to be mad if you have to put it down.
Monica James, you made my heart ache and then somehow put it back together. Jasper White. I Surrender. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. You are the epitome of a book boyfriend. This heart-wrenching story is a must read. These characters will stay with me for a long time. I absolutely cannot wait to see what is in store for the rest of Jasper and Avaâs story.

Approaching the grassy hill, I find him where I thought he would be. He is standing near the red boathouse, overlooking the lake, while taking a drag of his cigarette.
Advancing cautiously, not wanting to startle him as he looks to be deep in thought, I watch the love of my life closely. His messy hair is catching in the gentle wind, ruffling it further, and I chew the inside of my cheek when I stop to take him in. He is simply beautiful. I know the word handsome is usually better suited to describe the opposite sex, but Jasper, he is nothing short of mind blowing.
He senses my approach, and turns around to face me. The hurt in his eyes drowns my heart in grief, and I mumble, âIâm sorry.â
But he doesnât reply, he is merely motionless, searching my face. I shuffle slightly when I witness him raking over my body, from head to toe.
âYou're mine,â he sneers after a minute of silence, meeting my eyes.
Nodding quickly, slightly stunned by his possessiveness, I whisper, âI am. I always have been.â
