“I trusted Drew. With my mind, my heart, my body. I trusted Drew with everything.”

There is always that worry with a follow up book, if the first is great, I worry is the second really necessary? After reading Twisted I am on the fence. I LOVED reading more from Kate and Drew, they are funny characters who have the whole sexy argument foreplay thing going on but I must say the storyline is what left me feeling somewhat short changed.
Kate and Drew have been on this road before, and from the character growth in the first book, I assumed they were intelligent enough not to repeat their own mistakes. Alas, that was not the case. I must admit Drew really is hilarious, the way he reacts to situations is comical, there is nothing normal in his repertoire, when his heart is at risk of getting hurt, he goes big before Kate can get to him first. I don’t condone his reaction but it was so over the top I couldn’t help but laugh, that guy has serious issues!
Twisted takes on the same format as Tangled, it starts in the present and we are taken back in time to learn the whole story. This time it is in Kate’s POV and I must say this was something I didn’t mind. Kate was a likeable character, she was strong and determined behind her desk but where matters of the heart are concerned that is where her vulnerability lies.
Much like the first book, the narrative is full of humour and wit. Kate and Drew really are a great mix. As I previously mentioned, I just wish the book had taken on a new direction as they have both been at this crossroads before. With that being said, any time with Drew and Kate is worth it and for fans of the series, I have no doubt you will love Twisted.
The Epilogue is told from Drew's POV and as always it's great to be back in his head. Drew and Kate finally get an ending they deserve but upon hearing they are getting yet another book, I'm not gonna lie, this worries me again!
Dee Dee’s story is next up and she got the most laughs from me in this book. She is the perfect BFF every girl needs in her corner and even though she borders on certifiably crazy, I really can’t wait to read her journey with Matthew.

Drew Evens is one of my favorite book boyfriends. When I heard that Emma was writing a sequel to Tangled, excitement doesn't come close to what I felt.
This time around we find ourselves in Kate's head. Kate and Drew have been together for almost two years. Everything seems to going well for these two. They are in love, their working relationship is great, and most importantly they are happy. So what could go wrong? Everything!
At the beginning of this novel, I was on cloud nine. Kate and Drew were pretty great together. Their usual banter, the one I always found so refreshing and cute, was there as well as some steamy scenes. So I kept thinking to myself: what could go wrong? And again I say, everything! The book takes a turn in a direction I was not expecting, at all. Because of some assumptions and miscommunication, their whole relationship, all that was oh so great, crumbles.
Twisted was different from Tangled. While Tangled was fun and sexy, Twisted is more emotional and angsty.
The epilogue was my favorite part in the whole book. Why? Well, we are back in Drew's head and it was pretty freaking awesome. I realized at that point how much I missed being inside Drew's head. Overall, the story was enjoyable, but definitely not what I was expecting after Tangled. Fans of this series should definitely read this one.

Twisted picks up two years into the lives of Drew and Kate It is told in Kate's POV. As usual Kate is feisty, sassy, and fun. It was refreshing to see Drew and their relationship from her side.
The beginning of this book starts of with a bang. Pun intended! The chemistry between Drew and Kate is undeniable and off the charts. Even more so in Twisted. As an established couple this time around, their feelings for each other are stronger than ever.
“I love you Kate. Everything that’s good in my life, anything that really matters, is only there because of you. If we hadn’t met? I’d be fucking miserable – and probably too clueless to even realize it.”
Twisted deals with a more mature Drew and Kate where they not only deal with their relationship, but topics that come up with any seriously committed couple. Without giving anything away, this time around we see the more emotional side of them both. There is a huge miscommunication that causes trouble for them. We all know Drew and Kate to be hilarious. Which is why we all love them so much! However, we get to see a mature side this time around. Twisted is definitely more angsty than Tangled. It could be because it is from Kate's POV. But don't worry. Drew's witty comments are still there! It was great to see how much they both developed as a couple and as individuals. What they have is genuine and so real.
My favorite part of the book has to be the epilogue. It made the ups and downs throughout the book worth it! It reminds you why Drew and Kate are so lovable. If you have been dying to see what happens next in the Drew and Kate adventure, then I highly recommend Twisted. Cannot wait to see where their story goes next!
By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother of two who resides in a small, rural town in New Jersey. By night she is a keyboard crusader, toiling away the hours to bring her colorful characters and their endless antics to life. She has a long standing love/hate relationship with caffeine.
Emma is an avid reader. Before her children were born she was known to consume whole books in a single day. Writing has also always been a passion and with the 2013 release of her debut romantic comedy, Tangled, the ability to now call herself an author is nothing less than a dream come true.
