Second Position picks up exactly where book one ended. Annalise has met the sexy Raphael and now her dedication to her ballet company and her need for Raphael is questioned. Which one does Annalise want more?
The Dirty Dancing serial isn’t as fast paced and sexy as I’ve read some serials to be. I think it’s due to Annalise’s character, I find her naivety paired with the main focus being on her ballet not holding my interest as much. Melody Grace is known for her electric chemistry building between her characters, but I’m just not feeling it between Annalise and Raphael yet. I do hope this increases dramatically in the final instalment.
Raphael and Annalise’s relationship is moseying along; things are changing with regards to their career for both of them, adding drama to the storyline.
If you enjoyed the first instalment, the second brings some angst and things are set to be interesting for part three as Annalise gets a surprise visitor.

A man dances the same way he fucks. His stamina, his rhythm, the slow grind of his hips. Some people are born to it, others learn through years of careful study.
And dancers? We do it best of all.
The moment I saw her, I knew. Her innocence is intoxicating. My lust is fierce. Primal. To watch her dance is to know the torment of true temptation.
She will be mine.

Release Day Launch - Uninhibited (Beachwood Bay #4; The Callahans #2) by Melody Grace ~ Ava's Review & #Giveaway
“You found me, and you kissed all my troubles away.”
*I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.*
Uninhibited picks up a few months from the prequel Unrequited, Alicia hasn’t taken Dex up on his offer of a week of hot sex and her mundane life isn’t measuring up. When things get too much Alicia takes a leap of faith and makes the call to Dex, to her delight he has been waiting and that’s when the fun really begins.
“Like I said, you’re over-thinking this. It’s not about a purpose or a plan. Except my plan to make you scream the house down in pleasure.”
I really liked Alicia, at first she was highly strung and didn’t stray from routine. She pined over her long time friend who was happily in love with someone else. It was great to see the change in Alicia’s character. Dex kept Alicia on the edge, she never knew what he would suggest next and she loved it. Her rules didn’t exist in his world.
“When I’m with you, there’s no room for anything else. You’re all I can think about,”
As much as Dex was helping Alicia with her problem, she was a soothing balm for him. Dex felt like he didn’t deserve to make music again after losing his friend. Alicia made him see that he wasn’t to blame and he had to let go of the past. It was at that point, it was clear that it was no longer just a week of no-strings that this pair were after, it was becoming the real deal.
“This isn’t just playing anymore. We’re past the flirting, and the easy games. I need to know him, know everything that’s inside that heart of his.”
“Dex..This is real, the fragile threads of our connection our confidences have spun. I’m tethered to him by a thousand shimmering strands of hope and history, an intimate bond that feels like everything and nothing all in one.”
“I can’t bear to see him hurting like this. Something about him has slipped under my skin, wrapping around my heart, and now it squeezes tight, so I feel his grief as if it were my own.”
Just like the rest of the series, this is a sexy, fun read. The scenes between Dex and Alicia were hot and their chemistry crackled between that pages, also it doesn’t hurt that I love a broken rock star. With that being said, Dex wasn’t a bad boy, he was so sweet, he cared for his family and for Alicia. It’s not often a guy will lay his heart on the line and he was all in, very quickly with Alicia.
“I’ve seen a man at his worst, most broken, and I’ve held him in my arms most free.”
“From the moment I saw her, I knew she could save me from the darkness. My angel, full of sweetness and passion and wild, reckless hope. Every moment we’ve spent together has been a miracle, discovering her, knowing her. Loving her.”
I’m usually a stickler for instalove. I’m the one rolling my eyes saying as if that would happened but to my surprise I didn’t care how long Dex and Alicia had known each other, ‘if you know, you know’ and I believed in what Dex and Alicia shared so I was all for it.
“Some things, you can’t plan for. Some people, you know before you even meet. Some loves are forever.”
“I don’t need anything else, just this. Just her. Mine. Always.”
I love the way in which the books are all connected, after being introduced to Dex’s sister, Tegan in this book and discovering who her hero is going to be from the teaser chapter at the end, I really can’t wait to read it.
For fans of this series, Uninhibited will not let you down. It has all the markings of a Melody Grace novel, a light fresh feel, endearing characters, hot chemistry and a good story. You need to check this one out today.
