It's time to come home, Finn. It’s been seven years since Daniel Finley left his hometown in Florida for the hustle and bustle of Chicago’s city life. Since then, he’s worked hard for his position at the prestigious law firm Leighton & Associates, even when it’s caused distance and isolation from his family and friends. But that’s all about to change. On his thirtieth birthday, he receives the one thing he never dared hope for. Something that was promised to him years earlier—a note. One simple sentence from the man he’s never been able to forget. Six words will forever change the course of their lives. Brantley Hayes has it all. Or so he thinks. When he first made the decision to take a job down in Florida, his family thought he was crazy. But, after years of living in the quiet beach town, he finally feels a sense of community. He’s surrounded himself with friends who are like family, has a job he loves, and owns a spectacular beachfront property that is his sanctuary. Yet he still feels unfulfilled, as if a piece of the puzzle is missing, and he knows exactly which piece it is. On an impulse, he follows through with a promise he made years earlier. A promise to call home the one he sent away. Nothing is as simple as it seems. After years of separation, the former lovers are reunited, but Brantley wasn’t expecting to encounter the high walls now guarding Daniel’s heart. Daniel may not be the same person he was when he left, but he knows that the first step to healing is the note in his hand.

E X C E R P T“Rhys?” His name rushes from my mouth on a breath, and I’m off the bed, hurling myself at him top speed. Somehow my legs wrap around his waist and my arms tangle behind his neck. I couldn’t hold back and play this cool if I wanted to. Every part of me that’s been fighting to stay focused, to keep working, to be on, collapses against him. Surrenders to the feel of him in my arms and the smell of him. My fingers lace through his hair. I scatter kisses across his face, the sharp angles and taut skin warm beneath my lips. “So I take it you’re happy to see me?” He chuckles, pressing his forehead to mine, hands squeezing my thighs. “Happy?” I release something that’s half a sob, half a laugh, pulling back a few centimeters to let him breathe. “What gave you that idea?” We stop grinning at the same time, laughter dissolving, our bodies exchanging sensual information. My breasts flattened to his chest. His erection growing and hardening against my core. Our breaths mingling and hearts tattooing beats through our clothes and into the other’s skin. I move first, leaning in to capture his bottom lip between mine, sucking and pulling between my teeth. Licking into his mouth like there’s honey hidden inside. He groans into the kiss, walking backward until we reach the bed and dropping me so I bounce a little, his eyes roving over me head to toe. “Pep, what the hell are you wearing?” Humor and desire tussle in his eyes. I look down, laughing when I see the young Jackson brothers emblazoned across my chest, my legs ending in the footed bottoms. “If I’d known you were coming, I could have made sexier arrangements.” “Arrangements?” He quirks a dark brow, placing a knee on either side of my legs, hovering over me like a promise. “Lingerie would have been nice. Other rock stars have girlfriends who wear lingerie.” “Oh, are you referring to yourself as a rock star now?” I grin up at him, feeling whole for the first time since he kissed me goodbye a week ago. “That’s not egomaniacal at all. Is there a club? You guys have rock star meetings? Does one of you take rock star minutes?” “You are sitting in here listening to my music in the dark.” He leans forward to tug at the zipper beneath my chin. “Maybe you’re actually one of my crazed fans. Or a groupie. I might even find a Mrs. Rhyson Gray t-shirt around here somewhere. My girlfriend doesn’t like those.” “No, she doesn’t.” I shake my head, eyes never straying from his. A small frown jerks his brows together. He tugs again at the zipper, but it doesn’t budge. “Pep, it’s stuck,” he says. “Sometimes it does that,” I answer easily, enjoying the frustration spreading over his expression as he keeps pulling and it keeps staying. He places my hand over his cock, hard and poking through his jeans. “Well, it’s not exactly a good time for it to do that.” I laugh, grasping my zipper and tugging. Wow, it really is stuck. These are vintage PJs, older than I am and threadbare in places. I’m surprised the zipper hasn’t rusted before now. I sit up, bringing our bodies closer as I jiggle the little hook a few times. Nothing. “Just how attached are you to this Jackson Five onesie?” His glance burns hot across my subtle curves visible through the thin flannel, telegraphing his intentions. “Well this is Michael’s original nose.” I release a fake exasperated sigh. “But I do have my sewing kit.” “All I needed to hear.” Sorry, boys. He grabs the two ends of the collar separated by the zip line and pulls until there’s a ripping sound, the panels falling back to reveal my naked breasts and my panties. A wicked grin spreads across lips. “You naughty girl.” He runs a finger over the writing on the front of my calendar panties, carrying a current that simultaneously hitches my breath and gets me wet. “Wearing Monday panties on a Thursday. My little rebel.”

Save Your Soul
Body & Soul Series #2
Genre: Contemporary Erotic Romance
Available on Kindle Unlimited
Brecken Kane had been damn good at his job in the military. The experience served him well when he moved into the private sector. Breckenâs new security business is booming, and heâs settling into civilian life. Little does he know his newest clientâs request to save his daughter will change everything.
Hadley Gresham knows she isnât likely to make it out of the jungle alive. Sheâd distanced herself from her parents after she learned her dad made his money selling illegal arms. Kidnapped by his competitors, she knows thereâs little chance heâll be able to save her.
Luckily for Hadley, her father hires Brecken. Heâd never leave an innocent woman behind, let alone the one he quickly comes to consider his. Brecken might be Hadleyâs rescuer, but she's the one who saves his soul.
Warning: This book has an alpha hero who races to the rescue of the virgin heroine. If you like insta-love and hot sex in the steamy jungle, then this story is for you!
Please note: This is the second novella in the Body & Soul series, but it can be read as a standalone. Each book in the series features a different couple.
When Iâd glanced at the photo my client had shown me of his daughter, my hesitation ceased to exist. Only one thing matteredâsaving Hadley from the men whoâd taken her. The sight of her broad smile and bright green eyes staring up at me from her picture froze me in my tracks. Brown hair so dark it almost appeared black, flowed over her shoulders, stopping just above her tits. Her perky, luscious tits which looked huge on her tiny frame. I got a hard-on from seeing her picture while sitting across from her father and discussing her kidnapping. It was insane. Iâd never had a reaction like this to a woman, let alone from a damn picture at a time like this.
It was almost as insane as the feeling of possessiveness which swamped me when Whit whistled softly under his breath while glancing at her picture. Weâd been together since boot camp, and Iâd been lucky when he decided not to re-up at the same time as me. It meant I was able to open my security firm with Whit at my side, just like Iâd started my military career. At his sign of male appreciation, I wanted nothing more than to demonstrate exactly what Iâd do if he ever laid a hand on her.
âBack the fuck off,â I hissed at him, sending his eyebrows into his hairline before he moved to the wall and leaned against it. I was sure to hear about this later, but I didnât give a fuck. She was mine, but first I needed to get her out of this mess.

"There is a message for everything. From handwritten to verbal, seen and unseen. Messages exist all around us."
But when if you don't see it?
What if you don't understand?
What if, by ignoring the message, your life is never the same again?
Estelle Evermore morphed from nobody to somebody overnight. Galloway Oak put his past behind him and endeavoured to make his fortune using his trade.
Multiple unseen messages.
From sky to island, they find neither fame nor skills can save them. Stripped from society and left alone to survive the elements, the very task of staying alive outweighs all other needs.
Until survival turns to desire.
And desire turns to danger.
From New York Times bestseller Pepper Winters comes a timeless love story answering the question of what happens when everything is stripped away.
Life offers everyone messages. Either unnoticeable or obvious, it's up to us to pay attention. I didn't pay attention.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review
Whew, this book is really hard to review. It is intense, nerve racking, heartbreaking, and absolutely beautiful. Please don’t let my 3.5 star rating make you think I didn’t enjoy Pepper’s latest novel – I truly did. However, there were a couple elements that prevented me from full-blown loving this story.
After being on tour, constantly surrounded by people and admiring fans, introvert Estelle Evermore wants nothing more than to get home to her beloved cat, decompress, and recharge her batteries. But when she arrives at the airport to fly home, everything seems to take a strange turn; multiple occurrences send up red flags and warning signs. Chilling messages that make Estelle think she shouldn’t get on this flight. She doesn’t listen to them, and she gets on the plane. This fateful flight brings aspiring builder, Galloway Oak, forcefully into her life and now two strangers must learn how to depend on someone they met only hours ago…because their survival rests equally on each other’s shoulders.
When I think of Pepper Winters, a few words come to mind – dark, gritty, taboo. Her previous novels have straight ruined me (in a sickeningly fantastic way), but Unseen Messages is a whole different beast. And for the record, the fact that this is a departure from the style of her other books I have read has no bearing on the rating. Pepper’s writing is brilliant, and I was immediately immersed in this story from page 1. She set a chilling tone of unease right out of the gate that had my nerves on edge; it seemed like the perfect storm of something in the universe trying to tell you “Don’t do what you’re about to do, DON’T. DO. IT.” While this was a long novel, I never once found myself bored. The intricate details, tragedies, and triumphs that Pepper weaves throughout this story of survival kept me reaching for my Kindle during any spare minute of my day. (Seriously, I was stealth reading at work…I promise I’m a star employee when a good book isn’t within reach…which is always…okay I’m digging myself a hole, just nevermind).
So, at this point you might be thinking “Okay, this walnut has done nothing but rave about Unseen Messages. What type of rating system does she have if she’s giving this 3.5 stars?!” I have a method, people! While the story was very enjoyable, the main issue for me was the overwhelming insta-love aspect. I’m not one that typically jumps on board with insta-love stories, because I appreciate the gradual build of a relationship. Now that’s not to say insta-love can’t be done and done well, but this was poured on a little too thick for me. It made sense that two people would fall in love with each other given their circumstance, but I would have enjoyed their love story infinitely more if the L word hadn’t been dropped so early. And for me, the initial mention of falling in love seemed a tad cheesy. Aside from the insta-love, there were a couple other arcs in their relationship that unfortunately left me disappointed. To me, they weren’t necessary; this was a brilliantly written story without them. *le sigh*
Few issues aside, Unseen Messages was a story that will have you pulling for these characters with every emotion and tug at your heartstrings time and time again. In the midst of isolation and tragedy, two strangers found survival and love – not just with each other, but within themselves.
Dodging Trains by Sunniva Dee
Publication Date: March 28th 2016
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance
I was twelve when a stranger at a train station taught me the meaning of ugly. He forced himself on me and threatened to kill my family if I told.
I stayed silent and the ugliness grew.
Now, that word rolls in film clips through my mind. All I’ve done since my best friend, Keyon Arias, left town is cement how ugly I am. Ugly on the inside—deep down to my core. On the outside… I am a Vixen. I flash men a smile and make them moan out pleasure I control.
Not them. Never them.
After five years of being away, my beautiful boy has come back to town for his father’s masquerade ball. He’s different. Hard muscle supersedes the skin and bone of his once boyish frame. One thing hasn’t changed though: the murderous look in his eyes when he slaughters his opponents. In the ring, I see the bullied boy, all grown up, dominating in ways he couldn’t in high school.
He’s the mayor’s son. The rising MMA fighter. The beautiful one.
I’m not the Paislee Cain of before, not the sweet girl he once knew, the one who chased away his bullies. I’m the town slut. The dirty girl whose shame will never fade no matter how many men I use. He’d disown what I’ve become.
Because beautiful can never love ugly.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
“He fights me, breaks me down, loves me so hard he shoves me to the fringes of fear.”
I finished this book in awe. In awe of the words, the story, and most importantly, the characters. You know that feeling when you finish a book? You’re left speechless and breathless all at once. This is how I felt at the end of Dodging Trains.
“With him, pleasure mixes with terror, and I lose the ability to breathe. I hate it. I love it. I want it.”
Silence. Paislee Cain has allowed years of silence to deaden her heart. Something so precious was stolen from her when she was just twelve years old. As time went on, Paislee realized that with men she would always need to be in control. Always stay in the lead. Until Keyon Arias comes back into town. He’s her old best friend. The little boy who she used to stand up for when he was bullied. He is no longer a boy, but now a man and an up and coming MMA fighter. While now he’s the dominating one with fierce eyes and in total control, Paislee recognizes something in him. Something dark. She knows this, because sees this same darkness within herself.
“Your body, baby, will be the death of me. Do you not feel me below you?”
True love is loving someone enough to sustain them during the times when they cannot love themselves. True love is powerful, moving. It stands up to every circumstance. It lessens the pain. This is what Keyon’s love did for Paislee. He loved her through darkness. Through HER darkness. He loved her through her past, her pain, the ugly. He loved her down to her soul. Only he could truly see her beauty. Because beneath all the layers of pain and hurt she so desperately tries to hide, Keyon sees her stripped raw. His love saves.
“I wish I were the sum of your beliefs. I wish, I wish.”
Keyon and Paislee’s story is not an easy one. It’s dark. Raw. But the most beautiful testimony to the power of love. While Paislee knows Keyon is slowly putting together back her broken pieces, little does she know she is doing the same for him. Life has made him a fighter. He fights through everything, but when it comes to his love for Paislee? It brings him to his knees. He relishes in her love. It makes him better. Brighter. And gives hope that just maybe he can escape the darkness. But what happens when secrets come to light?
“Always beauty. Here.”
The author speaks to the hearts of so many with this one. To those that feel ugly. Used. Never enough. Well you matter. The author’s VOICE is loud. She doesn’t hold back. The author pushes you. Challenges you. But isn’t that what reading is about? For the author to push you out of your comfort zone and allow you to experience real, raw, and genuine emotions? THIS is that book. You will question their love, your heart will soar, but it will also break. The writing is seamless as she places you within the hearts of her characters as they both face a darkness that changed their entire lives.
“Tender, violent, and difficult like me, he preaches love and ever-afters…”
Dodging Trains is a story of hope and resilience even at the darkest hour. The author brilliantly captured the vulnerability of two flawed individuals that had to understand that despite their past, they deserve to be loved. To be desired. To be whole. This book is full of emotions and it is a story to easily lose yourself in. This is not your typical romance. This author doesn’t do typical. Her writing is mesmerizing, her talent in crafting a story is unparalleled, and she has an uncanny ability to ensure that every single word of her story is felt deeply within your heart. Dodging Trains is a beautiful, raw, and gritty journey that I had the privilege to read. This author gave a voice to everyone living in silence. No longer must you accept that silence. Love loudly. Love boldly. You are worth it. Always.
Between studies, teaching, and advising, Sunniva has spent her entire adult life in a college environment. Most of her novels are new adult romance geared toward smart, passionate readers with a love for eclectic language and engaging their brain as well as their heart while reading.
Born in the Land of the Midnight Sun, the author spent her early twenties making the world her playground. Southern Europe: Spain, Italy, Greece--Argentina: Buenos Aires, in particular. The United States finally kept her interest, and after half a decade in Los Angeles, she now lounges in the beautiful city of Savannah.
Sometimes, Sunniva writes with a paranormal twist (Shattering Halos, Stargazer, and Cat Love). At other times, it's contemporary (Pandora Wild Child, Leon's Way, Adrenaline Crush, Walking Heartbreak, and Dodging Trains, coming in late March 2016).
This author is the happiest when her characters let their emotions run off with them, shaping her stories in ways she never foresaw. She loves bad-boys and good-boys run amok, and like in real life, her goal is to keep the reader on her toes until the end of each story.

Title: The Fire Between High & Lo
Series: Romance Elements #2
Author: Brittainy C. Cherry
Release Date: March 25, 2016
There once was a boy, and I loved him.
Logan Francis Silverstone and I were complete opposites. I danced, and he stood still. He was quiet, while I ran my mouth. He struggled to find a smile, and I refused to frown.
The night I saw the darkness that truly lived inside of him, I couldn't look away.
We were broken together, yet somehow whole. We were wrong together, but always right. We were the stars that burned across the night sky, searching for a wish, praying for better tomorrows.
Until the day I lost him. He threw us away with one hasty decision--a decision that changed us forever.
There once was a boy, and I loved him.
And for a few breaths, a few whispers, a few moments, I think he loved me, too.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
“High. Low. Heaven. Hell. Him. Me. Us.”
My heart races after I read a Brittainy C. Cherry book. Always. And this one? This was no exception. The Fire Between High & Lo gave me LIFE.
“But sometimes, when Alyssa Marie Walters said she loved me, I kind of wished I could say it back. But I didn’t love. I hardly liked.”
Logan Silverstone and Alyssa Walters don’t exactly get off to a wonderful start the moment they meet. He needs help. She gives it. He doesn’t want it. But there’s a spark between them. And this spark becomes a friendship. Until a friendship is no longer possible. The spark is now a fire and there is no way to escape.
“Because if your judge him solely on his few moments of lows, then you miss out on his beautiful highs.”
Logan doesn’t know love. He’s never felt love. Not the soul shattering kind of love that leaves you breathless. Not until Alyssa. His high. How do you give something you’ve never felt? Never given? Can broken people love? Well Logan? He gives his heart. His soul. All to Alyssa. Soon enough he doesn’t know how to breathe without loving Alyssa. But one day he stops listening to his heart. And the insecurities take over. He’s left to deal with the consequences.
“I want you, I want the scars. I want the burns. I want your mess. Your scars, your burns, your mess-that’s my heart.
Logan and Alyssa battle a lot of demons in their story. I definitely commend the author for brilliantly tackling such sensitive and relevant subjects. Their story isn’t an easy one. You FEEL everything. Their love is powerful and transcending. Their love is relentless and profound. Even in darkness, their love is light.
“She didn’t notice it, did she? She didn’t notice how she sparked my heart each time she stood near me.”
This emotionally charged, beautifully written story attests to all that love can endure. All that love can overcome. The Fire Between High & Lo is raw, gritty, and so real. The author never holds back. You FEEL two shattered people fall in love. Slowly, irrevocably. Their love saves, it heals. Their love hurts. Their love is selfish. Their love breaks promises. Their love will push you. You will rejoice in their love. You will cry. For their love is overwhelming
“There it is again?”
“There what is?”
“The small glimpses of the boy I used to love.”
Logan and Alyssa’s story moved me beyond words. I don’t think there are words to truly capture the beautiful brilliance and shear profoundness of this book. I am in absolute awe of the strength and resiliency displayed not only by Logan and Alyssa but by all of the characters. There is so much I want to say that happens in this book, but it is up for the reader to experience. What I will say is that if you must choose one book to read this year, make sure it’s this one.
Brittainy Cherry has been in love with words since the day she took her first breath. She graduated from Carroll University with a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Creative Writing.
I haven't written a review in soooo long…
*blows dust off keyboard, cracks knuckles* let's see if I still got it, shall we?
Oh! But before I start gushing over Finn and Brantley, and the wonderfulness that is Ella Frank, I just want to say a quick thank you to Stacy, Bianca, and Kat for taking me in as a guest reviewer! This is my first guest review with Biblio Belles, and all three of them are just the absolute best. Thanks for letting me dip my feet back in the review pool, ladies ;)
Now, onto Finley and the brilliance of Ella; this book was good. No, it was beyond good. It was so good that I read it start to finish in one sitting. I couldn't stop. The story of Finn and Brantley is a beautiful portrait of second chance love, and I fell in love with both of these men almost immediately.
Daniel Finley moved to Chicago seven years ago to attend law school, and now at the age of 30, his chances of making partner are nearly within his grasp. He's successful, he's gorgeous, he's rich…he has everything except the man he wants more than anything. Over the past seven years, he has tried to forget Brantley…to no avail…but after he receives a letter from the man who still owns his heart, Daniel devises a plan; go home and do whatever is necessary to forget him all together.
"I hate what you did to us. I hate that you chose how we should end. And I fucking hate that you decided that my life was better off without you in it."
Brantley Hayes is a successful college professor in Florida with the security of tenure right in front of him. He should be happy, but he's not. Because when he sent Daniel Finley to Chicago, he sent his heart right along with him. Sure, it might have been what he thought was best, but after seven years of no phone call, no visit, no communication at all, Brantley decides to take the first step and bring his Finn home. (I love that he calls him “his Finn.” Gah, be still my heart).
“I want to forget. Forget how much it hurts when I’m not with you… Help me forget.”
It only seems fitting that my first review in what feels like eons should be for one of Ella's books. I have been consistently amazed by her talent since she first released Exquisite, and anxiously await every new release. She has a magical way of creating characters that you never fully let go of; characters that you cry for and laugh with, and just love to love. Finn and Brantley were no exception. Second chance love stories are some of my absolute favorites, and these two wonderful men reiterated why the journey of two people finding their way back to each other makes my heart so happy. *sigh* Soulmates are the best, and these two are soulmates without a doubt.
Ella's writing was (as always) beyond superb, and took me through just about every emotion possible – I don't know any author that can make me go from crying to throwing my pants off in a shorter time span! I have a very open mind in terms of romance, and I'm a firm believer that love is love -- period. Even so, I was a little nervous when I read Try, my first M/M romance, because I was worried I would feel disconnect from all the sexy times, and nobody wants to feel left out of those situations! Welp, here I am reading my fourth M/M romance and I swear I get more turned on every time, so as long as Ella wants to keep putting out wonderfully dirty and delicious M/M books, I'll read every single one without question…along with any other book in any other genre she decides to delve into, because as time as shown, there is nothing this woman can't write and write ridiculously well.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
“I want to forget. Forget how much it hurts when I’m not with you.”
Successful lawyer, Daniel Finley (Finn) has built an an amazing life in the city of Chicago. He’s on track to make partner and on the outside looking in you’d think he has everything. And he does. Except the man who broke his heart all those years ago. Professor, Brantley Hayes has never gotten over the one person that made him feel whole. Even though he’s the one that pushed Finn away to allow him to pursue his dreams, the burden on his chest remains heavy. One day, Brantley sends a note. Just six words. And that changes everything.
“I’ve always needed you, Finn.”
When Finn returns home he’s not sure what to expect from Brantley. He was sent away to make something of himself. But Brantley hurt Finn. Deeply. They are both guarded the moment they see each other. But you can still count their heartbeats every time they are in the same room. It’s like time stops. They only see each other. But this is no easy road they are heading down. Insecurities still dwell deeply within both of them. Both left with scars of their own, their hearts never healed. Shattered since the day they have been apart. Can they go back to what they once were? Will circumstances force them apart for good this time?
“I want you. And I’m selfish enough to keep you for as long as you let me.”
Finley is absolutely stunning. My heart pounded. It raced. Their love was intoxicating. Their love attests to love never understanding time or circumstances. THIS BOOK. Love only understands its own heartbeat in someone else. And this is what you feel between Finn and Brantley. Through it all, their love is always felt. They had such an insatiable hunger for each other and it surpasses the physical and sexual. Finn and Brantley? They love deeply. Who could ever question their love?
“Was it worth it?”
“Every last second.”
The writing is unparalleled. Miss Ella Frank is a master at her craft. She brilliantly writes a story where she embeds the reader deep within the heart and soul of her characters. You never read her stories. You LIVE each moment. She expertly wrote the story with some series of flashbacks allowing the reader to fully understand these two men and what their love once was and that it never stopped. Finn and Brantley will have you laughing one moment and crying the next. Their love has faced so many obstacles, yet it never wavered. It got deeper. Stronger. The author beautifully balances the erotic and passionate nature of this story. The sexual connection is unreal between these two. There is no doubt that these men were made to love no one else but each other.
“Now I’m right back where I was before I left.”
“And where is that?”
“Tangled up in you.”
If you enjoyed The Temptation Series, then Finley is a MUST read! My heart ached. My heart soared. I also fanned myself. Several times! These two are HOT! I was fully invested in Finn and Brantley’s story. I laughed with them. I cried with them. My heart broke with them. Finley is a compelling and phenomenal story that I could not put down. Read. This. Book.
Professor Brantley Hayes….. I probably shouldn’t start my review this way, but damn.
He might just be my new favorite person. Not only is he hot as hell, but good lord, I might go to church if he asked me to. And I’m not easily converted, but for this guy, I might dunk my head in some holy water, or a pool, or whiskey. I mean really, does it matter at this point? He could be a nightwalker from Game of Thrones and I’d be like—Yes Sir, please take me to your dark dungeon and turn my eyes blue. Yes Brantley, Please!
OK, moving on…
Daniel, please come home. Please!!
I refuse to ruin the story for anyone, but I will tell you this.
First, read the blurb, because I refuse to retell the story via blurb.
I will say that this AMAZING story is told in past and present tense, third person POV. And I know that some people shy away from third person, but I swear you won’t even notice! Ella is seamless with her words, and so will be your reading experience.
Ahhh to be in Florida again… Finn wants sooooo badly to come home, and he does. He wants to respond to that note. He wants to visit the one place that made him feel like home. Beyond those swaying white curtains, beyond that countertop. Daniel is basically trying to act tough and he’s putting on a front. And….
HAHA!! BURN! I’m not gonna tell you!
YOU MUST BUY TO ENJOY (said in caveman voice)
The side characters in this book will take your heart right along with the main MC’s. They are simply, magnetic. I love reading books that bring my heart close to everyone that I read about. And Ella just gave me some new best book friends, with this book. I LOVE everyone! (ok, maybe not everyone) but you get it.
There was a silent desperation in the fight for love, and a severity in the power to conquer it. Nothing made sense, yet everything MADE sense. The dichotomy of love is what made this book soar above any other, and the simplicity of love is what made it real. Ella, you made me cry again…in the best way.

(900+ page #BoxedSet for ONLY 99 PENNIES plus a sneak peek of In Ruins at the end!)Normal (Book 1) It's the kind of situation most people would dread. Starting at a new high school, in the middle of my senior year, in a new town, in a new state. I know no one. No one knows me. That's what I'm counting on. A year ago, Aurora "Rory" Pine was just a normal teenage girl - just as sweet and naive as the fairy tale princess she was named after. But this isn't a year ago. Rory is broken, and suffering from a new debilitating anxiety disorder, wrought with precarious triggers, she moves across the country to escape the source of her troubles. Her plan is anonymity, but that's easier said than achieved for the new girl having a panic episode outside of calculus. The worst part? There's a witness - and a gorgeous one at that. Sam is a walking trigger for Rory. Incredibly handsome, built like the star athlete he obviously is, and undoubtedly popular, Sam outwardly represents everything Rory despises about high school. But as the fates keep throwing them together, a connection sparks that neither ever expected, and certainly can’t ignore. But Sam has issues too, and Rory's past won't just stay in the damned past. When friendship evolves into something deeper, can a girl utterly destroyed by the worst kind of betrayal and a boy battling demons of his own ever have a normal relationship? Is that even what they want? Find out in NORMAL, a gritty story of trust and abuse, heartbreak and salvation, and if they're lucky - love. This is not a flowery romance - not for the faint of heart.
Rory and Sam fell in love in NORMAL, and we all fell in love right along with them. Now see it all unfold through Sam's eyes, and learn just how the new girl with anxiety issues stole the heart of the gorgeous heartthrob, and turned his world upside down. You already heard the story. The one of how Rory and I fell in love, supposedly, even if she couldn't handle it in the end. You know how it all went. Or you think you do. You only know her side. But I have my own point of view, and even Rory couldn't know my thoughts in those few months it took for her to go from being a stranger to my whole entire world. Every moment is permanently ingrained in my memory. In my goddamned soul. From the moment I stumbled upon the girl panicking outside of calculus - the one with the tight little body, the angelic face, and the fierce attitude - to the night she abandoned me in Miami. It was the sum of those moments that changed me irrevocably. Our story isn't over. I won't let it be. But this, this is what happened so far, the way I saw it. I'm Cap. Or Sam, to Rory. And this is my story.
After the horrors she’s survived over the past year, Rory never expected to find the one thing she certainly wasn’t looking for – love. But after the painful realization that her past has left her a dangerous liability to the person she cares for the most, she finally understands that for her and Sam, love means letting go. Can two people hopelessly in love ever revert back to just friends? Neither Rory nor Sam knows for sure. But the one thing they do know – it’s the only choice they have. As Rory recovers from a devastating assault, Sam will do anything to make sure it never happens again. But how far will he go to keep her safe? Their choices will change everything, and they will either bring them back together, or destroy them irrevocably.
Read an Excerpt from Normal (Book 1)I climb into the passenger seat of Carl's Audi. She tells me that Tina is already at the party and we'll meet her there. I look at the clock on her dashboard and estimate that I'll need to kill about three hours before Mom goes to bed and I can sneak back home. When we arrive, Tucker hands us both red plastic cups and points us to the keg, but I set mine down on the first flat surface I can find. I haven't taken a pill today, but I still don't really like to drink. Tina and Andrew are laughing and talking with a group of people and Carl goes off to join them while I hang back a few feet from the crowd. I watch as a minute later Tuck jogs over, slings his arm around Carl and plants an exaggerated wet kiss on her cheek. She playfully pushes him away, but it's clear she doesn't mean it. Everyone looks so happy and carefree... normal. I don't belong here. "Having fun?" I startle but catch myself quickly. Somehow I recognize Sam's voice instantly, and his tone tells me he can tell just how much fun I'm having. "Didn't mean to sneak up on you." I shrug. "Tons," I murmur, unenthused. "You?" "A blast." He matches my level of excitement. "Can I get you a drink?" he offers. "I don't really drink." "How about some water?" "I- uh-" He hands me his unopened bottle of Poland Spring, and my lips part to thank him, but for some reason I stay silent. "You don't seem to want to be here," he observes. I frown. He's right, I don't, but it's rude of him to point it out, isn't it? "Neither do you," I counter. Sam smiles, and it's an unexpectedly wistful smile. I'm surprised by it. I'd expect something more cocky from such a gorgeous, confident guy. "Touché... I have a lot on my mind." If he expects me to ask him about it, he's going to be disappointed. Even though I find that I am interested to know what's plaguing the mind of this beautiful boy, I worry that if I ask about his problems, then he'll have the right to ask about mine. But he doesn't give me a chance to ask, and I think maybe he didn't want me to after all - maybe he didn't even mean to say it. "You wanna go for a walk?" he asks, nodding in the direction of the open grassy area that leads to what appears to be a pond. Is he seriously hitting on me? He doesn't even know me, and the one thing he does know is that I obviously have issues. He probably thinks the crazy ones are easy. My eyes narrow. I straighten my shoulders indignantly and square my stance. False confidence all the way. "No. I don't want to go for a fucking walk. I'm not gonna fuck you, or hook up with you in any way. Or anyone else for that matter. Spread the fucking word," I growl. My throat is suddenly desert-dry, so I take a swig from his water bottle to soothe it, praying it doesn't betray my anxiety. Sam stares at me like I've just grown another head, so I turn and stomp away from the hordes of people, toward the pond, marching in the exact direction I just insisted I did not want to go. My heart pounds mercilessly, but this isn't panic, this is anger. Ugh! Guys! They're all the fucking same. "Hey!" Sam calls after me. Can't he just take no for an answer? He catches up to me and his unexpected grip scorches the skin of my arm like wildfire. I don't think. I wrench out of his hold, turn, and smack him across his face. "Don't touch me!" I hiss. "Don't ever touch me!" We're now far enough away from the crowd that no one notices us, but if I scream, they'll hear me. Sam's fingers caress his cheek where my palm made contact, eyes wide and round. "What the fuck is your problem, Rory?! I wasn't fucking hitting on you!" He rubs his reddened cheek again. "Damn it!" He wasn't hitting on me? My boiling blood starts to simmer and shame floods my veins. All of a sudden I can't for the life of me remember what made me so certain his invitation for a walk was code for a hook-up - what made me think he'd want me that way at all. God, if he didn't already think I was crazy... Damn it, Rory, don't panic. Sam is glaring at me, but something in my mortified expression must warrant pity, because he sucks in a deep breath and I can sense his anger begin to dissipate. "I was... you just didn't seem like you were up for a party. I thought you'd want to get away from all those people." He gestures to the crowds, now off some distance, and shoves his hand through his messy chocolate locks in frustration. "I wasn't trying to fuck you. I realize that we don't know each other very well, but what about me that you know so far, exactly, makes you think I'm the kind of guy who would lure you down to a lake, lay you down on the dirty ground, and have sex with you with a hundred of our friends not fifty yards away?" I swallow anxiously. I've offended him. Moisture pricks the back of my eyes and I will it to stay put. It's beyond reason how much I've humiliated myself in front of this guy in just one week. "I-" I choke back what threatens to be a sob, close my eyes, and silently count back from ten in double time. When I open them again, I'm greeted by his expectant midnight blue gaze. "I'm so sorry," I breathe. Sam exhales sharply, his fingers raking that familiar path through his hair . "Look, I shouldn't have grabbed your arm like that. I wasn't thinking," he murmurs. Now he's apologizing and I'm more than certain he has nothing to be sorry for. "Not just for slapping you." Oh God, I freaking hit him! "God, but I am so sorry for that. But I'm sorry for assuming- I wasn't thinking. I..." I pause and look away. "I don't know what's wrong with me." It's a lie. I know exactly what's wrong with me. Sam's expression warms, and it's not full of pity either - it's... compassion. Empathy. He sighs. "There's nothing wrong with you, Rory." I look away again, anywhere but at the deep blue oceans that unnerve me so. They seem to know more about me than they should. "Sure there isn't," I mutter bitterly under my breath. Sam takes an abrupt step so he's directly in front of me, silently demanding eye contact. His arm twitches, like he wants to touch me but thinks better of it. "There's. Nothing. Wrong. With. You." He glares at me like he can convince me of this with just a look. Everything in my gut screams that he's a good guy. Like Cam. But if there's anyone whose instincts can't be trusted when it comes to guys, it's me. I was even wrong about Cam. I thought I knew everything about him. But he was keeping his secrets, too. But Sam saw me freak out. He knows I have issues, but no one else here does. Which means he's kept my secret. Otherwise it would have been all over the school in a heartbeat. That's got to count for something. "Sam, you... thank you. I mean it, but you know that's not true. And I know you didn't tell anyone what happened my first day. When I..." I trail off and shake my head. He doesn't need a recap, he was there. "Thank you for that. You've been nothin' but nice to me. There's nothin' about you that would make me think anything bad about you," I say meaningfully, answering his original question. "Except that you're a guy," I add quietly. Sam looks sad for a moment, but offers me a weak smile anyway. "I was just hoping we could be friends. Just friends." He covers his mouth and whispers conspiratorially, "no public fucking on the grass outside of parties. I promise Not even if you beg." I smile, but it's a wistful smile, because I could never be Sam's friend, even if something in my bones really wishes otherwise. But I no longer believe that guys and girls can really be just friends, and I'm too attracted to him to even try. I could never fully trust him, not really, and I could never trust myself with him. "Why would you even want to be my friend?" I ask. Because really, if I were him I'd have fled screaming in the opposite direction. He considers me a moment. "I don't know, Ror, you just seem... real." He shrugs. Something about the way he says "Ror" reminds me of Cam, and the memory of our friendship cuts me so deeply I wince. "I wish I could be your friend, Sam," I murmur. His eyes are full of some unfathomable emotion, and I wonder how this conversation has grown so intimate. We barely know each other. When Sam speaks again his voice is so low it's practically a whisper. "Who hurt you, Rory?" I tell him the truth, matching his tone - barely audible. "Everyone."
