For the last ten years, I've roamed the globe, captivated by the world around me. I've seen the seven wonders and admired sunsets from every continent. I'd lived and loved and that was enough for me. It would have to be.
I was content, satisfied with my collection of experiences . . . until a phone call led me down a road less traveled.
If I'd known my fascination would pique and be forever quenched only a few hundred miles from where my curiosity had been born, I may have never set sail.
Stripped of the future I'd planned with the love of my life, my family and my career were now all that mattered. I'd lived and loved and that was enough. It would have to be.
I struggled to move forward, to discard the part of me that held out hope for my obliterated heart. But I was bred a romantic, so it was easier said than done.
The chances of being struck by lightning are 1 in 960,000.
The odds of being struck twice are 1 in 9 million.
I risked those odds every minute, often cursing the dark sky, praying for static and a rumble of thunder, but it never came.
No, that second bolt hit me on a clear day.
The Heart can be read as a stand alone but it is HIGHLY recommended you read the first two books in the series first.

Irreverent, cocky, playful and naughty.
He’s not the guy you date.
He’s the one night stand.
The one your mother warned you about.
The one your body craves.
You’d think the man who called me succulent would want to strip me down and spread me out on his bed—like he’s done with countless others.
But he passed on my offer….
Just like I’d once passed on his.
He’s wary, like I am.
He’s broken, like I am.
And everyone knows two broken parts can’t ever make a whole.
Tahoe and I are strictly friends.
So I distract myself with other men.
He doesn’t think my new man is good enough. This blond blue-eyed beast doesn’t think any man is—himself included.
But the more time we spend together, the more confused I feel.
I'm trying to open myself to love.
Yet I'm quickly realizing that the only man I want is Tahoe Roth.
The one man who will surely break my heart.
Tahoe Roth is the true definition of a ladies man. He makes no lies or apologies concerning his female pursuits, and he definitely has no problem with people knowing this about him. He'll pretty much sleep with any woman that he wants to except for his friend Regina, and trust me, she tries!
"He’s annoying. He’s cocky. Selfish. Self-centered. Really, I don’t even know why we’re friends."
I wouldn't call Tahoe and Regina BFF's at all. At least not in the beginning. They're definitely close, and have a quirky friendship but no way are they super close friends. And this is why I love Katy's writing so much, she makes you work for it. Talk about a slow burn, I was dying for their friendship to turn intimate but I honestly think the best part was seeing them grow as actual close friends. The more time they spend together the stronger their bond becomes, and they end up relying on each other. And the sexual tension is crazy good, but neither will hit the easy button and just do it! But that all ads to the slow burn I was talking about. It's sooooo good! Friends to lovers should be that way, I know I don't want to read a book with a fast paced friends to lovers theme. This was done perfectly and with just the right amount of angst.
"I want his lips. I want his hands all over me. I want his heart. His wounded beautiful heart he’s put on a shelf where nobody can reach it."
I absolutely loved how this story developed and how the characters make you pull for them the whole way through. It was definitely a page turner because I just wanted them to finally be together!!!
But it's pretty obvious that Tahoe and Gina are flawed from their past in different ways, and let me tell you, my heart ached for Tahoe when I found out why. And Regina just seems to be settling for men who are nice, but not what she needs. TAHOE is what she needs! Omg he is so yummy.
As their story progresses you get glimpses of the other characters in the Manwhore series, and how their lives are moving along which I loved! But this book is totally a standalone and you don't need to read the others first. But they are pretty great too! And also, this story is told in first person, Regina's POV.
Ladies Man was PRETTY DAMN GOOD and definitely one of my favorites from Katy, I would recommend this book 100%! Such a great read!
“I want to kiss you. I look at you, with those curves of yours and that wild hair and those dark eyes and that reluctant little smile, and I want to crush you against me, fill my hands with your hair and drown in your smell. And I want to kiss you.”
Hey! I’m Katy Evans and I love family, books, life, and love. I’m married with two children and three dogs and spend my time baking, walking, writing, reading, and taking care of my family. Thank you for spending your time with me and picking up my story. I hope you had an amazing time with it, like I did. If you’d like to know more about books in progress, look me up on the Internet, I’d love to hear from you!

"What lies beneath my veiled perfection is the ugly truth—my truth, my reality, my destiny."
Vivian Graham has an acceptance letter into Harvard, a badass tattoo, loyal friends, ties to marijuana, a penchant for Dunkin’ Donuts, and her pesky V-card.
Everyday she takes the Red Line to her job at The Green Pot in Boston while her friends enter the coveted, black iron gates to higher learning. The ramifications from a tragic accident have put her life on hold while time marches on for everyone around her.
After graduating from Harvard Law, Boston native, Oliver Konrad, moves to Portland to start his career and his life. Three years later, after a horrific discovery, he returns home to trade in his three-piece suit for leather work boots and his suburban home for a condo in Cambridge.
All he brought back to the East Coast was an aversion to pillows and secrets he keeps hidden behind a mysterious locked door. Oliver’s days are predictable and his nights are lonely until he meets Vivian on the subway. Her long raven hair, green eyes, and mile-long legs are achingly sexy, but the way she "innocently" fingers and licks her Boston Kreme doughnut can only be described in two words—complete torture.
When their paths cross at every turn, laughter is abundant, friendship is easy, and love is unintentional. However, their future seems improbable.
Meet Oliver & Vivian in this sexy, quirky & emotional stand-alone. You will laugh, you will cry and most of all, you will not be disappointed!
With 10 years of flossing lectures under her belt, she took early retirement from her dental hygiene career to stay home with her three awesome boys and manage the family business.
After her best friend of nearly 30 years suggested a few books from the Contemporary Romance genre, Jewel was hooked. Devouring two and three books a week but still craving more, she decided to practice sustainable reading, AKA writing.
When she’s not donning her cape and saving the planet one tree at a time, she enjoys yoga with friends, good food with family, rock climbing with her kids, watching How I Met Your Mother reruns, and of course…heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, panty-scorching novels.

But I belonged nowhere, to no one. Then I met Owen, the sweet-talking hockey player who made me love him. He gave me the courage to trust in someone besides myself. He showed me a love I longed for. And how do I find where I belong, when I’m still Finding Me? Finding Me is a spinoff from the Second Chances series and can be read as a standalone.
Excerpt“Hey, Bella, right?” My pencil dropped out of my hand as I jumped at the voice next to our table. That was the second time today I caught myself gawking at Owen as he walked away. I studied his ass so much, I’d memorized the fraying denim on his back pockets. Blinking my leering eyes, I turned to a sort of familiar face. “Yeah. I’m sorry but I don’t know your name.” “Paul. I’m in Intro to Psychology with you.” Paul was cute in a non-mentionable type of way. With his dark features and average build and height, he easily blended into a crowd—and my psych class was over three hundred people. I spent most of that class feeling like an ant. “Oh, right.” I smacked my forehead in faked recognition. “I’m sorry. That class is huge.” Paul chuckled as he nodded. “It’s a good thing Professor Brightman is interesting. It would suck for him to look out and see three hundred people sleeping.” He let out a nervous laugh as he gazed at me. I smiled back. “I guess you’re right. It’s hard to notice anything or anyone in those seats, though. I’m sure people take naps in that class anyway.” “Well,” Paul sighed as his eyes dropped to the ground. “I noticed you. From pretty much the first day.” “Oh,” I replied in a whisper. I was only here on a study date, even though I almost let myself pretend it was more. Paul seemed nice but, whether it was misplaced or not, my interest was in the hockey player waiting by the barista. Should I force myself to flirt with Paul? That wouldn’t be fair to either of us, but putting all my eggs in one unattainable basket wasn’t exactly healthy either. Paul grabbed the back of the chair next to me and raised his eyebrows in question. “Can I sit? I’d love to get to know the girl behind the pretty face.” “Seat’s taken.” A southern growl behind me made Paul’s face fall. Owen placed my iced coffee and straw in front of me as he glared at Paul. Paul let out a long sigh and nodded. “Sorry, Owen. I didn’t realize you were with Bella.” “We’re on a study—” “It’s cool, Paul. See you at practice later.” Owen sat in his chair and scooted it closer to me. Paul nodded and gave me a sheepish smile before traipsing away. Okay, what was that? “You know Paul?” He nodded without looking up. “He’s one of the third line freshmen on the team. Doesn’t seem like a bad guy, I guess.” With a sour face I wasn’t used to seeing, he dug into his bag and pulled out a notebook. If I didn’t know better, I’d have said he was jealous. I sucked in my bottom lip to fight the twitch of a satisfied smile. “I don’t really know him. He’s in my Intro to Psych class. Too many people in there to really know who anyone is.” “You know what we should do?” Owen met my gaze as he leaned back in his chair. I took a slurp of my coffee and squinted at Owen. “Enlighten me.” Owen laughed as the front legs of his chair dropped to the floor and he leaned forward. “We should go out.” With the straw still in my mouth, I froze. “Out?” Owen nodded and gave me a sideways glance. “Yeah, out. You. Me. Without books or ledgers. We can celebrate how well we both did on the midterm—or how well you did and how I got by thanks to you.” Owen’s brow raised as he awaited my answer, but I didn’t know how to reply. “I really don’t mind helping you. I get to study a little extra too, so it helps both of us.” Still ignoring his question, I opened my notes and skimmed to the midterm review questions. Owen inched closer to peer at my book, and I resented the jump in my pulse whenever he came near me. We’d been meeting twice a week for one hour at a time since the beginning of the semester, and each day I was more drawn to him than the one before. Last Thursday, Owen met me at the library straight after hockey practice when his hair was still damp from the shower. All I could think of for the first fifteen minutes was how the rest of his body looked wet, drops of water dripping across every muscle and hard ridge. Owen was the first man I had dreams of licking while I was still awake.
