Where to even begin with this? The story of Rune and Poppy, talk about an emotional roller coaster!
They met as young children, and were torn apart when they were teens. Two seemingly perfect stars aligned destined to have one of those great love stories we are all jealous of. But things had drastically changed when they reconnected a couple year later. Both their lives went through some major changes. And it seemed like they would never get back to the place their love once was.
When they finally started talking again and the truths to both sides of their stories were revealed, that is where all the heart breaking realities of their new lives come to light.
From that point on in the story is where all the crying, from me, started. It's like everything they said, everything they thought, every single thing they did, brought me to tears. Lots of breaks were needed to get a handle on my emotions. It was like Tillie was sinking the knife deeper into my heart with every word I read. It was painful. It was beautiful.
The only downfall of the story for me was the epilogue. I get that most readers would have appreciated the closure it may have brung, but I could have just left it.
If you are craving a great story that'll bring you to tears, this is it!
