Parker Reeves has had a really bad year.
Trouble at home, trouble at school… pretty much trouble in general.
On top of everything else wrong in his life, he’s sent away to the small town of Concord where he knows no one and is set to have a nonexistent social life.
Just when he thought his life couldn’t get any worse, he met her.
The girl next door is about to teach Parker that sometimes a summer can change your life.
I have always been a reader. All my life. The girl at the library. The girl asking the librarians for new books. But lately? I’ve been in a rut. Everything sounds the same. And then comes along this book. THIS BOOK. Life. Changing.
Parker Reeves is just down on his luck. It’s just not his year. His mom has shipped him off to live his dad in a really small town. No friends. Nothing to do. Just a Summer with a father he barely knows. Every day is a struggle. He vows to make the next day count, but he can’t seem to be inspired to so do. Until he meets the girl next door, Summer. Sounds cliché right? This story is anything but. Summer is not your normal teenager. She is hiding something, but has decided to make the best of what life has thrown at her. And Parker is along for the ride.
“…and anything Summer touched seemed to radiate with light, love, and happiness.”
The connection between Parker and Summer was palpable. Their friendship was genuine and the development of their relationship was absolutely breathtaking. I refuse to place any spoilers in my review, but this is a definite must read. You LIVE through this book. Every encounter. Every lesson learned. And ultimately the fall. To fall in love with your best friend is a gift. Neither one took for granted.
“You’re going to do so much good, Parker Reeves. I can feel it in my bones.”
“You make me want to be one of the good ones.”
The writing. The writing. THE. WRITING. Seamless. Flawless. Intoxicating. Where has this author been hiding? I never wanted to put this book down. It flowed effortlessly. There was never a lull. I felt engaged from the very first page. I knew I was going to love this book by Chapter One. And by Chapter Two? I had already fallen in love with Parker and Summer. The execution was brilliant. The storyline unique and truly inspiring. The characters. They are everything that everyone should strive to be.
“You love me?”
“Without a doubt.”
Dear Summer was seriously one of the most exhilarating reads of my life. There are lessons in this story. Poignant and life changing, the magic of this book is deeply rooted in the magnificence of Parker and Summer. To live life without abandon. To love recklessly and whole heartedly. This book spoke to my soul in ways I can never portray in words. I cried. Oh boy did I cry. Because the intensity of them and their lives are so relevant to today. Overwhelmed with just the impact these characters have made on me. This book reminds me of why I love YA. It’s a story told in such honesty you feel it in your bones. If there is one book you read this year, make it this one.

Once upon a time, a girl loved a boy and he loved her back. They lived happily ever after.
But our story was never that simple.
I loved Josh with all I had, right until the day he left. Now, all these years later, he was backâand wanting me the way Iâd always longed for him. Except now, I belonged to someone else. Someone who never left me the way Josh had. I figured that was the end of our story. I couldnât alter the past.
I didnât want to rewrite my future.
Brianna was always more than my best friend. She was the shining light in my black hole of an existence, and I loved her with every cell and bone in my body. I wasnât good enough for her, thoughâmore the villain than the hero in our fairy tale. When I had to leave, I vowed to come back a better manâfor her. But when I finally did return, she wasnât waiting for me anymore. She had someone new, her very own Prince Charming. Did that mean our story was over? I couldn't change our past.
It was time to rewrite our ending.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Iâll be honest. My favorite genre is romance. So I can easily say that Iâve read them all. Every trope. Circumstance. Twist. But when it comes to Stephanie Roseâs writing, thereâs always something fresh about it. THIS. BOOK. Her writing is remarkably romantic. Her characters embed themselves in the heart of the reader. Every declaration of love left me with chills. Overwhelming. Exhilarating. Rewrite was the love letter one writes in never forgetting about their first love.
"I met the love of my life when I was five years old."
Josh and Brianna have been friends since they can both remember. Theyâve always had this intense connection. Neither one acted upon it for fear of ruining what they have. Despite Joshâs leave over the years they remain closer than ever. Josh left to be come a better man. And when he returns, Brianna is in the arms of another. Thereâs something different this time. Worthy or not, Josh isnât willing to give up. This wasnât the end of them. Thereâs more to their story. And heâs determined to change their ending.
"I loved him from the deepest part of my soul, but in silence."
This is so much more than a second chance romance. It echoes the beauty in finding the one the heart loves the most. Without going into detail, this is no love triangle. Josh and Brianna never tell you about their love. They allow you to feel it through their words and actions. These two have the kind of love that will have set your literary heart a flutter. Their love is infinite. Unwavering. Their love persevered. Through each obstacle, twist and turn their love remained absolute. Their story consumed me. Palpable. Unequivocal. This story is love in itâs most honest form.
"There was never a single second I didnât belong to you. All I ever wanted was you."
Exquisitely written, Rewrite is a manifestation of one of the greatest love stories ever told. My heart is racing just thinking back at just how this story moved me. The emotional journey of their love story is one I will never forget. Flawless in itâs delivery, the story is skillfully written by an author with immense talent in romance writing. This is demonstrated in not only the crafting of the storyline, but in the development of her characters. You canât help but root for Josh and Brianna from the beginning because the author simply places you in the depths of every emotion displayed. To put it simply, the authorâs incomparable talent of producing such intimate and relevant storylines remains the reason why she will forever be on my must read now shelf. If anyone were to ask me the book that left me breathless this year? Iâd recommend this one. Unreservedly
âThis place is amazing, Josh.â
My chest swelled with pride as Briannaâs widened eyes darted around the shop. Maybe it wasnât really my place, but Uncle Billy trusted me enough to run it on my own. I hired the employees, handled the books, and met with customers. He depended on me instead of waiting for me to fuck up. The local troublemaker came back and made good, but that wasnât such an easy sell for everyone. Good thing I didnât give a shit about everyone. The only opinion that ever mattered stood in front of me, beaming with pride.
My mouth split in a wide grin. âThanks. Itâs getting there. Hoping things pick up a little after the holidays. No one wants a new bike when thereâs an inch of ice on the ground.â I laughed until Briannaâs face fell.
âCan I ask you something?â She slid into the chair in my office as her lips pursed.
âOf course.â I leaned my hip against the edge of my desk and crossed my arms. âWhatâs up, Cupcake?â
âDid . . . did you really have a new client in Manhattan last week, when you drove me to work?â
I took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. âWhy would you ask that?â
âScott and Iââ She shook her head and waved her hand. âItâs nothing. Donât mind me.â
âNo.â I nudged her ankle with my foot. âLet me guess. Scott isnât too happy about me hanging around so much.â I raised an eyebrow.
Brianna reluctantly nodded. âItâs a guy thing, I guess.â She chuckled to herself. âThey get territorial if someone else tries to play with their toys.â She laughed until she realized what she said and then covered her mouth with her eyes huge. She was so fucking cute I couldnât stand it. âI didnât mean play, I meant . . .â She dropped her head into her hands, and I couldnât hold in a laugh anymore.
âCâmon, Bri. Iâm dying to know.â I peeled her fingers away from her face and crouched in front of her. âWhat did you mean? Scott thinks I want to play with you? Donât tell him about the GI Joe and Barbie castle we made when we were kids. Heâll flip the fuck out.â Her cheeks flushed as she nudged my shoulder.
I caught her hand and held it in both of mine. As our gazes locked, laughter stopped. There was no way in hell what I was feeling was only one-sided. I doubted it ever was.
We didnât talk about it, but I remembered every moment of that night at my apartment. Brianna rushing over to take care of me, the tortured look on her face when I asked her to get into bed with me. It wasnât my finest hour, but I needed her. My soul cried out for her that night and she came, like she always did. She may have ignored my wimpy confession, but when she said she loved me, I knew she didnât mean as only her best friend.
âJosh,â Brianna pleaded on a whisper. âDonât, please.â
âDonât please what, Bri?â Feeling brazen, I tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and cupped her cheek. I ran my thumb along the delicate curve of her jaw. Her eyes fluttered, urging me on. âDonât touch you?â I let my finger drift over her full bottom lip. âDonât kiss you?â I whispered with a husky rasp. Our faces were so close, our lips brushed. Briannaâs mouth parted, and I uttered a curse under my breath. We were so damn close. All we had to do was close that distance. Her hand drifted up my shoulder and clutched the back of my neck.
âJosh,â Brianna sighed as she rested her forehead against mine. âWe . . . We canât.â Her hand drifted down my jaw. Her hooded eyes and flushed cheeks disagreed with the words sputtering from her mouth. I caught her hand and pressed a soft kiss to her palm. It trembled as she took in a quick gasp.
âYes, we can, Bri,â I whispered as I leaned in. âYouâre so damn beautiful.â Shit, I almost tasted her. She stilled as I cupped her neck and inched closer.

"Heartbreaking...inspiring, uplifting and raw..." ― RT Book Reviews, A 5-star Gold Pick
A broken woman . . .
Crystal learned long ago that love brings only pain. Feeling nothing at all is far better than being hurt again. She guards her wounded heart behind a hard exterior and carries within her a deep mistrust of men, who, in her experience, have only ever used and taken.
A man in need of help . . .
Then Gabriel Dalton walks into her life. Despite the terrible darkness of his past, there's an undeniable goodness in him. And even though she knows the cost, Crystal finds herself drawn to Gabriel. His quiet strength is wearing down her defenses and his gentle patience is causing her to question everything she thought she knew.
Only love can mend a shattered heart . . .
Crystal and Gabriel never imagined that the world, which had stolen everything from them, would bring them a deep love like this. Except fate will only take them so far, and now the choice is theirs: Harden their hearts once again or find the courage to shed their painful pasts.

When I first read the blurb, I knew immediately that I needed to read this book. Mia writes romance with her heart and soul. She writes of the impossible love becoming the greatest love. She writes with the most beautiful and refined prose. And this book? It was no different. It went beyond what I ever imagined.
Crystal guards her heart against all things. Men especially. She refuses to allow heartbreak to shatter her again. But when Gabriel Dalton enters her life, he comes roaring through with his gentle spirit and patience Crystal never knew existed. But Gabriel carries a burden A dark past. So when the guards come down and fate intervenes, do they fight for what they have? Or go on in life like this love never existed?
Most Of All You was a powerful, heart wrenching, emotional read. Devastatingly beautiful and utterly breathtaking, there are not enough words to adequately describe how much this story moved me. I refuse to go into detail as nothing I say can truly describe the power that is within this book. Love and darkness. Heartbreak. This is nothing like you’ve ever read. Forget the typical broken girl meets man with dark past trope. This is. SO. Much. More. The writing is poetic and heartfelt. The characters are brilliantly developed as this thoughtful and bewitching storyline unfolds. This story embodies romance in the most honest and genuine manner. This is a definite must read.

I swallowed heavily, my mouth going dry as I took in the masculine beauty of his practically naked body. He was…divine. That was the word that immediately came to mind. Divine. Angelic. Godly.
My gaze soaked in his strong, broad shoulders, the tight, lean muscles of his chest, the taut ripples of his stomach. As if my eyes were drawn to him like a magnet, they moved down his chest to his muscled thighs, his well-formed calves and then back up to his boxers, where the outline of his male anatomy was just barely visible against the thin material.
My core clenched, wetness pooling between my thighs. I blinked, completely unaccustomed to this kind of reaction when it came to a man’s body. I wanted to simultaneously run away and step toward him, to reach out and trail a finger down his chest the way I’d just run a finger over the tiny stone bird.
“My father made that.”
“W-what?” God, my voice sounded too breathy, too stunned.
He crossed his arms over his chest, obviously self-conscious about his state of undress. He gave a quick nod downward. “Sorry, I didn’t know you’d be up.”
Again, my eyes moved to his bare chest. There was a sparse trail of hair under his belly button leading into the waistband of his boxers. My eyes leapt back up to his, and I practically gulped, sure he had heard it when his eyebrows twitched slightly.
I turned my head, my heart beating so loudly in my own ears I was sure he could hear that, too, even from where he stood. “It’s only fair, I suppose,” I murmured.
“Now we’ve both seen each other half-naked.”
Gabriel tilted his head, assessing me in some mysterious way. He suddenly turned and walked back toward his room. I stood rooted to the spot, confused, when he returned just as quickly as he’d left, pulling a T-shirt over his head. He walked toward me, coming to stand directly in front of where I stood. His expression was slightly shy, slightly teasing. “I hope…that if we see each other naked again, it won’t be a job, or an accident. It will be because we both want it, and because it means something.”
Visions swirled through my mind, unbidden: tangled limbs and twisted sheets. Heat filled my veins, blood pumping between my legs. It was too much. It was…out of my control and it scared me. I didn’t want to think of Gabriel that way, couldn’t think of Gabriel that way. In truth, had never thought of any man that way. “Mean something?” My voice was a mere whisper.
He nodded, his expression going serious, his eyes filled with sudden gravity. His hand slowly moved up to my hair, and he brushed a piece back from my face. His hand lingered, his knuckle brushing gently down my cheekbone. My breath hitched at the subtle touch. His full lips parted slightly, those angel eyes moving over my features as if he was memorizing me, memorizing the moment. I was spellbound, caught once again in his gaze. No one had ever looked at me the way Gabriel was right then, not in all my life.
“Yes.” It was all he said, leaving me to try to comprehend his meaning. But of course getting naked always meant something. A bribe, a paycheck, a coercion, a means to an end…only I knew very well Gabriel didn’t mean any of those things, and it was impossible to convince myself he could. I already knew better. And I didn’t want to think about what getting naked would mean to Gabriel because the very idea filled me with terror and an aching, needy want. But mostly terror.

Beth Caplan is a survivor. Once shattered by a decision that she can never forget, she is determined to enjoy all that college life has to offer. David March is Beth’s brother’s best friend. When he finds that Beth is enrolling at the same college, he makes it known that he will do everything in his power to protect her. To make sure she’s safe. He just didn’t know he’d be sacrificing his heart in the process. While her past comes crashing back, Beth is determined not to break. Not again.
“This feeling- this is what is most dangerous. Because I could become addicted to this.”
David and Beth were like magnets on every page. Every word, every scene, it was simply electricity flowing through the story. While their relationship is seen as off-limits, that did nothing to take away from the fact of how drawn these two were to each other. My heart raced as I felt each intense emotion of their desire. Completely enthralled by the depth of their story, you can’t help but feel that Beth and David were simply magic on the pages. There was a push and pull that kept me inherently invested in their triumphs and their times of heartbreak. This. Will. Move. You.
“Do you know that I love you?”
Despite being off limits, David’s love rebelled against anything logical. He pursued her heart in the only way he could, by guarding it. He loved in silence. In secret. But his love was no less felt. Loving Beth could cost him so much, yet the thought of not loving her was never really an option. It was so much more than the typical brother’s best friend romance. When loving someone, you abandon all regard and everything that comes with them. It reminds you that love can come at a price, but it’s worth the cost.
“It’s imprinted into every goddammned day of my life, every fucking thought – caring about you more than I should.”
Ms. Pearl is a master of crafting stories that speak for the voiceless. For those that live in silence. She writes their stories with a grace and understanding in a way that very few are capable of. Inspiring in it’s execution, thought provoking in its unraveling, there are not enough stars to truly capture the magnitude of the sheer beauty and bravery this story holds. Bewitched by the devastating beauty of the author’s romantic and refined prose, I was absolutely lost in the story of David and Beth. I never wanted to put this one down! Palpable, meticulously written, In Pieces is love in its most powerful form.

Racer, an all-new standalone in the Real Series from New York Times bestselling author Katy Evans is LIVE!!!
It's Brooke and Remy's love child! I could not wait to dive into this story to see what kind of man Racer Tate had turned into. I knew this was his story, and he's his own man, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited to scope out the similarities to his BELOVED parents. REAL will always be one of my favorite books because it reminds me of when I started in on this crazy book frenzy, and to see the series come full circle 4 years later is just the sweetest gift.
Lana and her family have a failing formula one racing team and they need a driver, badly. So, she sets out on a trip to find a great driver that's needs a team, her team. Little does she know that a little parking incident would lead her to exactly who she needed, Racer Tate. And guess what? He's cocky, moody, and gorgeous just like you'd imagine him being. OH, and there's a dimple too. The attraction is immediate, and I could already tell these two were going to have some feisty banter. Racer also showed some signs of being quite the gentleman, I knew his parents would raise him well! Those little things made my heart happy.
From the moment Racer saw Lana he felt connected to her. He knew in his gut that this woman had to be a part of his life. This is where the fantastical writing of Katy Evans comes into play. I'm not a huge fan of Insta-love, but Katy has a way of making it feel real and magical all at the same time. It really FEELS authentic, and the ebb and flow of their courtship seemed so organic mixed with all the great and wonderful things that new love should feel like. The fear, the hunt, the butterflies. I loved it!
“I don’t know if I should warn you again to stay away, but what’s the point? I’d only chase you.”
Racer Tate is a force to be reckoned with, and just like his father, when he wants something, he gets it. Racer is passionate in everything he does. He has a job to do and he makes it his priority to be the very best. I love the restraint he shows in regard to Lana, it’s not much but he tries really hard! he's broody but sweet, rough around the edges, yet so charismatic. He's the complete package in my opinion, and dare I say he rivals his father's legacy. This guy will make you swoon hard!
“Tell me it can happen for me like it did for you. That I can find someone to get me. To take me, as is.”
I can't tell you how much I loved these two characters. I fell in love with them almost as immediately as Racer did for Lana. I could not put this book down! I've read other Katy Evans books, and have adored them all. There's something SO different about the Real series, and especially this book. Maybe it's that magical Tate DNA, I'm not sure, but I love it SO much and I didn't want it to end. I could tell that Katy poured her everything into these characters, because I felt it so deeply while I was reading. It was heartfelt and true, passionate and pure. Everything about this book was perfect to me.
"I’d fight death for my crasher. I’d fight my own monsters harder, every day, for her."
The side characters were great like I knew they would be. Of course, we are blessed with the presence of Remy and Brooke, and Racer's sister, Iris. Which had me grinning from ear to ear by the way. But we also get to meet Lana's father and her 3 protective older brothers who I I'm secretly hoping get books too because I’m kind of into this whole racing thing now.
This book was everything I hoped it would be, and more! Whether you’re a fan of the series already or a newbie, you will fall in love with these characters like I did, for sure! And this can be read as a standalone. Of course, I recommend the whole series, but it’s not necessary at all. Katy, thank you for writing this story, I didn’t even know I needed that.
I’m still reeling. While people approach him, he cuts a path straight to me, his gaze penetrating and target-like; making me want to bolt.
His lips do that little upward tilt they do that seems so sexy, and for a second, I feel like I’m lightheaded.
I gulp, and then feel mad at myself for acting like some idiot as fucking devil-Racer Tate reaches me, throws himself into a seat next to me, and turns to look at me expectantly with the most gorgeous grin on his face.
I don’t know what to say.
This guy has left me sort of speechless.
“So … ” I say, staring in the distance at his beat-up mustang, then at him.
“So … ” he says too, in his deep voice, his smile a little more wicked than it was two seconds ago. He glances at my mouth.
Why am I licking my lips?
It only made his eyes narrow and darken.
I open my mouth to speak, failing to find words. He smells like sweat and soap and shampoo, and I feel my traitorous nipples push up to my top again. Why do they do that when he’s around?
“This is illegal,” I state.
His voice is husky from exertion, and his eyes glint with laughter. “That’s why it’s fun.”
I look away from his eyes, trying to focus and clear my head. He leans over and peers into my face, his face shadowed by the moonlight and his jaw now carrying a little scruff. “Are we in agreement?” he presses.
“No.” I glare and shake my head, meeting his cocky gaze. “You’re reckless, Racer.”
“So are you, Alana.”
“It’s just … Lana.”
His brows fly up in surprise. “And a bit of a liar too.”
I purse my lips, still glaring as my gaze goes back to his car. Girls are rubbing against it as if it were him, and I find it disgusting. Why are women always acting so slutty around race car drivers and bad boys?
“You crashed your car,” I say flippantly.
“You crashed my car,” he contradicts, amused.
I laugh, then scowl in his direction. “You crashed it more. I can’t believe you were making such a fuss about me crashing into you when it was just a little kiss—”
He leans in to peck my lips—fast but firmly. “That’s a kiss.”
I lose my breath.
My eyes wide.
He eases back, lips smiling as he comes to his feet and stretches his hand out to take me by the elbow and help me to my feet.
“Let’s get out of here.” He starts walking, leading the way.
“And go where?”
“Anywhere I can get my hands on you.”

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely love this series, but this one? It simply blew me away. The meaningful storyline. The unforgettable characters. Once again, S.R. Grey gives her readers a humorous yet remarkable story that is not to be forgotten.
Womanizer, Benjamin (Benny) Perry has decided to go after the coach’s daughter. Eiza. If you think that’s where the complications arise, you are sadly mistaken. Eliza’s sudden return to town is only the beginning of the mysteriousness about her. She harbors secrets. Soon enough, Benny realizes this is more than just getting back at his coach. Perhaps his heart is bigger than he’d like to admit.
Benny and Eliza had a strong and palpable connection. Despite his past, and her secrets, there is an invisible yet underlying thread that makes it hard for either one to deny what they have. I absolutely loved their banter. It came across as genuine. Real. The flow of the story was absolutely perfect as there was never a lull. I was either crying of laughter or so caught up in the storyline, time was never measured. I prefer stories that not only have a great plot, but ones that are character driven. S.R. Grey has this innate ability to allow you to become so engaged with her characters no matter how imperfect they may be. You grow with them. And most of all, you fall in love with them. Benny and Eliza were in no way immaculate characters, but their development was authentic and I without a doubt enjoyed them and their story.
What I loved most about this book is how the author perfectly balanced humor with sincerity. Benny and Eliza are flawed characters, but the author writes them with a skillful and unmistakable voice in which I found that their story easily resonated with me. While this (and the rest of the series) is a bit lighter than some of her other work, she still makes a point to produce a thought provoking and poignant story. Funny, witty, and clever, S.R. Grey’s talent knows no boundaries. Unique in it’s delivery, the storyline will have you turning the pages. I read it in all one sitting as I found it very hard to even put down. Well done!

Tate begins right where Tease left off. This is the book you never see coming. There are things left unexplored by Logan and Tate as they are four years deep in their relationship. Emotions and pain never addressed, come crashing to the surface in this book. And it’s heartbreaking. The author leaves no one unscathed. Logan and Tate must face their past while looking towards the future. What I love the most about this book is that there is no unnecessary drama. It’s written from the depths of Logan and Tate. You HEAR their voices. You feel them. Their hopes, their dreams, and unwavering love is echoed through the words of this book.
“I remember everything about you. Don’t you know that by now?”
I know. I’m not giving much away. But trust me. You’ve never known the magnitude and profoundness of Logan and Tate’s love until this book. This is a story that you should go in blind. There are books that you read and there are books that you LIVE through. Tate is that book. Logan and Tate have been in my literary life for years. I’ve grown with them. Fallen in love with them. Yes, they face obstacles as all couples do, but this book? This is different. These two connect on a level that I can barely put into words.
“Never think for one second I have ever thought anything other than the world of you. Because it wouldn’t be true.”
Can we please take a moment to discuss the sheer unparalleled talent of this author? There is a certain scene that left me breathless. I was IN that moment with these two men. I felt the moment hearts shattered. The hurt in that moment was tangible. The scene palpable. Ella Frank, your innate capacity to write with such power in your words is simply incomparable. I get CHILLS thinking about that scene amongst others. The push. The pull. The angst. My heart simply raced with every word. The words were candid. These men left naked to each other. The sincerity of their love? Unmistakable. The book is written with a realism that could be felt through every turn of the page. Emotions are raw. Tensions are high. Logan and Tate face some unmasked truths, but their strength and resilience is nothing short of inspiring.
“This right here. This ability he has to make me forget that anything in the world but him exists…”
While I mention the emotional aspects of this book, it is also perfectly balanced with the highly erotic and passionate moments that only Logan and Tate can give us. Masterfully written, Tate is THE book that we needed. Essential. Unapologetically executed. Tate without a doubt, highly exceeded my expectations. To say I am excited for the next book in this series would be an understatement. Words change people. Characters make an impact. This story? These characters? They challenged me. They pushed me. They left a mark on my heart. If someone were to ask me about characters that changed my life, I would unequivocally utter the names of Logan and Tate. Every. Time.
"Maybe that was what happened when you were so damn happy. You became braver than usual. And inexplicably stupid."
This series started out as two people fueled by lust and passion, trying to find themselves in each other. And now? It's one of the best love stories I've ever read. I can't believe we're on book five and all that passion has now culminated into an unforgettable, awe-inspired, case of lust and passion. One that's now fueled by love, friendship, trust, and deep devotion. They've grown so much, and I'll never forget my journey with them as a reader. It's no wonder these guys have cemented a place in my heart, their love soars beyond limits and I just want to fly away with every word of their story. And yes, I'm aware how corny that sounds. BUT, if you're a fan like me, you KNOW it's true!
Tease left us with a delicious cliffhanger at its end. And I was both anxious and excited to see where Ella would take Logan and Tate on this leg of their journey. At this point, I have complete faith in L&T, but it's Ella so I'm like- oh crap what's she going to do to us this time? There's been a lot of ups and downs throughout the series, with some shocking moments so I'm not crazy to think that!
From the very beginning, Logan and Tate don't disappoint. I love the way they support each other NO MATTER WHAT. I'm not going to spoil any part of this story, but I think it's safe to say that the guys always seem to have some sort of lose end that needs tying up. And this book is no different. The way Logan and Tate handle their issues is my favorite thing ever. Whether it's snarky banter, or emotional sexy-times, It's ALWAYS a good time. And no matter how hard the day is, or how hard they might fall, they always land safe in each other's arms and it's just so beautiful. That is ultimately what makes me fall more in love with them every time I read them. Their love is never boring, it's fun and sexy and real. I could read ten more books about them because they inspire me. Their love inspires me.
You never know what you're going to get reading an Ella Frank book. And I MEAN THAT. Because even when I thought I knew exactly what was happening, NOPE. I gasped, I cried, I cried A LOT MORE, and then I made more coffee, because no way in hell was I taking a break now, how could I? I'm PISSED! Omg "she's trying to kill me" I said! And she did kill me. She killed me like she always does. In the most unexpected way, and that's why I LOVE her books! And these characters! I seriously don't even think of them as characters at this point. They are truly a part of my family, and we all know that family can be unpredictable and take you through a gamut of emotions, which they DID. This story has everything you could ask for, and I mean that with the most honest sincerity. These two men own my heart and they always will!
Great story, great ending, WONDERFUL characters, beautifully-flawless writing, DONE, go buy it!

I guess I just forgot.
To ask him what he did for a living, I mean.
And by the time I did, I was in—balls deep, as he’d call it.
He was the perfect boyfriend.
Attentive, gorgeous, guessing my every wish and fulfilling them.
The sex was earth-shattering.
He even dealt with my crazy mom the way no one else could.
He popped the question, God, such a perfect guy.
There was just one issue:
He f*cked other girls on camera for a living.
How the hell do you deal with that?
This book. Sunniva Dee has easily cemented herself as an author who writes without abandon. And this book is no different. Her storylines are unparalleled. Her writing, lyrical. But the words of this book? Astound me.
Ciro Silveira is a very confident man. So when he immediately gravitates to Savannah, a woman with so much going on, he’s a bit taken a back. She doesn’t need a boyfriend, but Ciro wants to do everything to change her mind. Enthralling, captivating, their chemistry is simply magical. As much as Savannah is all caught up in the wonderness of Ciro, something feels off. He can’t get enough of her, and he’s devastatingly handsome. But what does he do? Why has he not mentioned anything before? Want to know what happens when she finds out? Read. This. Book.
Ciro and Savannah are magnets. The allure to them and their relationship cannot fully be captured into words. In true Sunniva Dee fashion, she has produced a storyline unlike you’ve ever read. The synopsis doesn’t even capture a fragment of the complexity and originality of the narrative of this story. Despite any conceptions you may have regarding the title, push them all away. The author masterfully depicts an authentic and genuine take on falling in love with someone like Ciro. And all that comes with loving him. The honesty here between them is astonishing. Regardless of his job title, he’s a person first. And he loves deeply. Relentlessly. You are pushed and challenged to see beyond the title and the job occupation, and to truly see into Ciro’s heart. Can we talk about the writing? Candid, sincere, and unfeigned. Defiant in it’s unfolding. Sunniva never follows the rules. And she never has to. This story was told with a conscientious decorum that only this author could truly capture. Poetic in her approach, meticulous in her execution, the author innately and effortlessly weaves a unique and unforgettable story. You are simply seduced by the words of this book.
The Truth About Porn Star Boyfriends was palpable. Even with it’s lighter moments, there was something deep here. An underlying message. One that will keep me thinking about this book and its characters, for DAYS to come. Your heart will beat over Ciro and Savannah’s story. Daring and bold, these are the kinds of stories we need. Blatant and unashamed. The author’s capacity for telling a story with her unequivocal voice does not go unnoticed in this book. Written with such candor and sincerity, this is definitely one of my top reads of 2017.
About the Author
Between studies, teaching, and advising, Sunniva has spent her entire adult life in a college environment. Most of her novels are new adult romance geared toward smart, passionate readers with a love for eclectic language and engaging their brain as well as their heart while reading.
Born in the Land of the Midnight Sun, the author spent her early twenties making the world her playground. Southern Europe: Spain, Italy, Greece--Argentina: Buenos Aires, in particular. The United States finally kept her interest, and after half a decade in Los Angeles, she now lounges in the beautiful city of Savannah.
Sometimes, Sunniva writes with a paranormal twist (Shattering Halos, Stargazer, and Cat Love). At other times, it's contemporary (Pandora Wild Child, Leon's Way, Adrenaline Crush, Walking Heartbreak, and Dodging Trains, coming in late March 2016).
This author is the happiest when her characters let their emotions run off with them, shaping her stories in ways she never foresaw. She loves bad-boys and good-boys run amok, and like in real life, her goal is to keep the reader on her toes until the end of each story.

Whenever Sarah Willis wants to, and sometimes when she doesn’t, she can see another version of herself in the mirror living a parallel life.
As she grows older, Sarah becomes dissatisfied with her life and envious of everything Other Sarah has which she doesn’t.
Risking her teaching career and her heart, Sarah seeks to make their parallel lives converge, only to discover everything she wants can be found outside of her own reflection.
Her Other Life is the literary fiction debut of contemporary romance author, Stacey Wallace. Fans of Liane Moriarty and Aimee Bender will enjoy this novel.
I’ll be honest here. I am usually a romance reader at heart. But when I heard Stacey Wallace was writing this book AND read the synopsis, I knew I had to have it. At the end of it, I didn’t need romance to be a focus at all. The thing about Ms. Wallace’s writing is that it is raw. She leaves her characters open. Vulnerable. With just the power of her words.
Sarah Willis sees another version of herself. We follow Sarah through this. The author is talented in how she masterfully weaves this parallel life into the story. The Other Sarah is living the life Sarah wishes she had. While this may seem strange, the author’s talent shines in this area as she brilliantly produces an incomparable storyline. In an attempt to merge the two lives together she jeopardizes her career and life as she knows it and ultimately her heart. This is not the type of story you’ve read before. The author takes risks with this. She challenges the reader on the “what ifs”. Ultimately, Sarah realizes that life is really what YOU make it. And so much more.
This story certainly does not follow any formula. From the moment you begin, you realize how Sarah is going to embark you as a reader on an experience you don’t ever see coming. While the premise of the story thankfully deviates from cookie cutter storylines, I found the author’s brave take on this story to be quite endearing and integral in this world of literary fiction. Loyal readers of this author should know that while this style differs from her other novels, nonetheless the meticulous narrative and well executed plot will have you completely engrossed in the pages. The story is very much character driven.
Her Other Life is an unexpected but an absolute organic and essential read. So many times as readers we get lost in the pomp and circumstance of books. I’ve learned that sometimes we just need the bare bones. The words. The characters. This book says so much by only saying so little. I am vague on the plot as I believe you should really go into this one blind. To the author who blows me away with her words. Takes chances with her characters. Once again, Ms. Wallace I am forever a fan. Lovers of literary fiction, you must read this book.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I have been in a book funk for a very long time. I kept starting books and stopping them. Nothing grabbed me. When I picked up A Little Bit Like Love. It’s like my (literary) heart screamed, THIS IS IT. THIS BOOK. It reminds me of my love for reading – the writing. My reasons for getting lost between the pages – the characters. I simply could not flip the pages fast enough. It’s been an entire week since I’ve read this book and STILL not over it. It’s the type of book that your heart never forgets.
As teens, Lucas Sullivan and Jackson Davenport held a secret. Once discovered, circumstance ripped them apart. Eight years later, when Jackson shows up back into town on business, he’s not sure what to expect from Lucas. He quickly learns that Lucas is the love ‘em and leave ‘em type. There are no regrets. He is a one-time thing. But Jackson can see the truth. Deep down he sees a broken man because he recognizes himself in him. That no matter what, even after all these years, their shattered hearts had never even begun to heal. Facing the past while living in the present is a battle in itself.
I was absolutely fascinated by Jackson and Lucas’ story. I do not want to go too deep into the plot as I think it’s a book to experience and know as little as possible going. The plot of the story was skillfully executed with a riveting narrative to keep you engaged from the very first page. The pacing never slows. The story is never predictable. You experience every emotion. Heartbreak in knowing the truth of what kept Jackson and Lucas apart. Angst. Because these two passionate lovers leave you breathless. The chemistry between these two burn off the pages. The sexy times are highly intimate and so well written. And lastly, Jackson and Lucas’s love? Profound. You’ve never read about two men in this way before. Brave. Because despite what the world is dictating, their love transcends above all. They challenge everything you ever thought you knew about love.
This author writes with a realism so many fail to come close to. And that is why I feel like this story will resonate with people so much as it brilliantly captures the struggle of life and the obstacles and adversity faced on a daily basis by those who simply want to love and be loved. No matter their situation. Whether you have faced what Jackson and Lucas have faced or not in any sense, this story WILL sit heavy on your heart. Because the author simply places them there.
The characters are beautiful and complex as only Brooke Blaine can write. She has this innate talent in writing characters with so much poise and confidence. The author effortlessly captures a magnetization between Jackson and Lucas. It’s found in her words. The magic of them and how much they moved me as a reader. The words are loud, captivating, and most of all powerful. The development of the characters are brilliant in that they don’t just tell you their story. They SPEAK to you. It’s a testament to the truth in that love IS love. Love doesn’t have a color or face. Love doesn’t choose. Love simply exists. A Little Bit Like Love was EVERYTHING. I cannot fully put into words just how much I enjoyed every minute of living in this world with Jackson and Lucas.
About the Author
You could say Brooke Blaine was a book-a-holic from the time she knew how to read; she used to tell her mother that curling up with one at 4 a.m. before elementary school was her ‘quiet time.’ Not much has changed except for the espresso I.V. pump she now carries around and the size of her onesie pajamas.
She is the author of Flash Point, a romantic suspense standalone, as well as the co-author of the erotic series, A Desperate Man, with Ella Frank. The latter has scarred her conservative southern family for life, bless their hearts. Licked, a romantic comedy, will be released November 11th, 2015 and is the first in the L.A. Liaisons series.
If you’d like to get in touch with her, she’s easy to find - just keep an ear out for the Rick Astley ringtone that’s dominated her cell phone for ten years.
