I began writing this review at least five times. It is hard to put into words how brilliant this series is and how awesome this book was. Like with the other books in the series, Tiffany's writing pulled me right in from the very first page. It has everything I love in a book and much more. This unique book gives us another look into the exciting lives of some of my favorite characters of all-time.
In The King, we get a look at Kingsley Edge's life with an emphasis on how he became the man we all have swooned over and loved in the previous books. The little details of how his club began and how he became who he is are shown in a way that only the great Tiffany Reisz can do. Even though this book is all about King, we also get to see some of our favorites from the previous books.
It is no secret how much I love King, but I love Søren just as much! So seeing these two together, seeing how much they love each other, is explosive! There are no characters out there like these two. Tiffany made me feel the amount of emotion that was poured for each other page after page.
Overall, I absolutely ADORED this book! It is filled with characters like you have never seen before with a storyline that will have you gasping for breath page after page. A warning, though, if you have not had the pleasure of reading this series just know that it is not for the faint of heart ;D
If you've already read the previous books in this series you really don't need to hear it from me when I say, it's a must read that will suck you in from the first page. Because as always, it's another masterpiece. Brilliantly written, refreshingly original storyline, and an all around enthralling look into the lives of Tiffany's highly intriguing characters that I will NEVER get enough of.
This edition focus's on Kingsley Edge, whom happens to be my favourite of all the players in the Original Sinners stories. And his story is full of WOW and chills, excitement and yes, even tears. It's kind of weird to feel so much emotion towards characters in a book, but I suppose that's just what happens when the author puts so much brilliance into the details of their lives.
I loved how we got to see just how THE Kingsley Edge came to be The King of the underground and how Sam played a part in it. And also how she provided mystery in her dealings with the story. She totally had me worried because I came to like her quite a bit. I hated being furious at her.
Of course the most loveliest part of the story was that of King and Søren together. I can't properly put into words how their truly emotional their relationship is. Or just how much love was there, even when King was blinded by the truth of just how powerful it was. It was heartbreaking and breathtaking and beautiful beyond belief. This book left me in a massive amount of emotional tears. I keep going back to read one thing over and over again..."Jeg elskar dig."
I really could go on and on about this story forever. So you should be thankful that I have my fellow, Original Sinners lovers, to discuss our unhealthy infatuation with these characters, so I'll just end it here...
