* I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review
*Sigh* If you know me, you know I can't shut up about anything Karina-related (Just ask my co-bloggers...) It is a little scary when your favorite author releases a new book and you always wonder if it can reach the same level of awesomeness as their previous works. I'm glad to say, this book definitely lived up to my expectations!
Vera goes on a trip to Spain to help a whole bunch of business people brush up on their conversational English skills. Right there is where she meets the handsome, but oh so married Mateo. The chemistry between them is instantaneous and you will find yourself at the edge of your seat. You will feel all of the deep emotions they experience throughout the book. I really loved these two characters.....
I can honestly admit that I was a little hesitant about this book. The subject of adultery is one I'm not too fond of in books. Mostly because in the books I have read before it is all about two individuals acting on their mutual lusty feelings. Even with my slight hesitation about the cheating that the author had warned us in advance, I made up my mind and decided to read it anyways since it was by one of my favorite authors. I am glad I did.
This story is not about adultery, but about two individuals that who they were, where they came from, or how old they were--fell deeply and irrevocably in love. Throughout the story, these two evolve, and by the end of the book, find themselves.
I won't go into any details about the story and this review will never do it justice. This is one of those books that you need to fully experience it by going in blind. But just know this: Love, in English is one of the most beautiful love stories that Karina has written to-date. Vera and Mateo's love was so real that I couldn't help but root for them to end up together no matter what the consequences were going to be. Also, the cheating is not bad at all. These are not two people are just attracted to each other, their feelings for one another went further than that.
Overall, I loved this book and how realistic their situation felt. Definitely one of my favorites by Karina and one of the best books I've read this year. I highly recommend it.
