"I want to make it work. I need to make it work because I love you. God, I'm hopelessly in love with you."
*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*
As we are nearing the end of Val and Wes' journey, it's only natural for all the drama to kick off and that's exactly what happened in this instalment. The beginning of Wild for You starts calm, sweet and romantic. Valerie and Wes are finally brave enough to admit that they do indeed love each other, even if those words happened to slip out mid-orgasm, I'm sure glad they both finally admitted it. So Valerie is walking on cloud nine, she is willing to give the marriage thing a real shot and she can finally picture a future for Wes and herself but before you start fist pumping, meddlesome Max makes an appearance and ruins Valerie's visions of happily ever after.
We all know Wes' actions and why he accepted Max's offering but of course Max had to dig the knife in and spill all to Valerie. She confronts Wes then flees in anger, one pep talk from her bff later, she is willing to give Wes the benefit of the doubt and a chance to explain himself but by that time it's too late and Wes is nowhere to be found. Drama filled, right?
"You do what you have to do. And if it's supposed to happen then it's gonna happen. And if you need me to hop on a plane to come get you and pick you up off the ground wherever you are, I'll be there because that's what friends are for."
Magan gave us many sweet moments in this edition; from the cover model photo shoot, to declarations of true feelings, balanced with angst filled confrontations and drama. For just under 50 pages, I got the right amount of teasing to leave me wanting more.
I really can't wait for the concluding part of this story, both Wes and Val have made mistakes, they are by no means perfect but that's why I love them. I look forward to Valerie's mad dash to Vegas to get her man. I predict more sexy Wes and a HEA in the future!
"I had to make the big gesture and show him that I was completely wild for him and that he was more than just a marriage by mistake."
The Forever Wild series is a quick, funny and flirty read. You need to meet Val and Wes and fall in love with their story as I have.
