"I was lost in love and the only way out was to find Wes."
*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*
The final instalment of Wes and Valerie's journey has arrived. A dash across the country, a kinky sex party, a little bit of blackmail and another wedding later, Wes and Val's story is concluded. All the loose ends were tied up, feelings were declared and Wes appeared in a loincloth. What more could you ask for?
The story finished with a sweet surprise and I was happy for both Val and Wes. Wes' friend Brick surprised me during this instalment, I found myself wanting to know more about him. And as always it was great to see a cameo from John Boy and Mel, no matter how brief.
It was also great to see Val's feistier side make a return, that's when I love her best. Of course, Max was back and I was pleased to see Wes take the lead in that situation and fight for his relationship with Val.
"Even if she never took me back. Even if I never saw her again. The month I spent with Valerie Wilder, the month she made me feel like I was worth something more, was worth every fucking penny."
Wild was a sweet novella to end the series. The angst was low and the issues were resolved quite quickly so thankfully I wasn't left hanging. I liked reading from both Valerie and Wes' POV in this one. The writing flowed well and there was a lot going on but at no point did it feel rushed. If you haven't read any of this series I suggest you read it all in one sitting to get the full Wilder-Cockrell experience.
This has been a fun serial to follow, it's crazy to think all of Val and Wes' shenanigans happened over a period of one month but it goes to show one wild night in Vegas can really change your life for the better.
