I was excited to start Six Brothers (Gypsy Brothers #2), so glad that I was able to start reading it minutes after finishing Seven Sons instead of months. And yet again, I devoured this book in a few hours. I was eager to know what Juliette had planned next.
I’m not doing this because I’m strong. I’m doing this because I’m scared of the monster in my head.
Six Brothers picks up where the last left off with Doran’s eldest son Chad dead Juliette is moving on the next one Maxi. Revenge is still high on her list, as she wants them all to pay for what they did to her and her father. Things are getting riskier as she becomes move involved in the Gypsy Brother’s world.
“It’s true what they say…Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Only, they forgot to add: Don’t keep your enemies so close that they can strike with out warning”
The story just intense, and action packed. We learn more about Juliette’s past, more about Jason, and what he really means to her. We get to see how crazy and sick Doran is. Just couldn’t stand him.
I just loved Juliette you get to see her strength, and her vulnerability. I’m shocked at what she will go through in order to carry out her plan of revenge.
I'm aching inside., the utter desolation of my vengeful quest almost too much to bear. But I will bear it. Because I refuse to buckle. They will not break me. I'm a fighter after all. And this fight's only just begun.
Lili St. Germain has done it again; I so love this series, and can’t wait to move onto Five Miles, and see who will be next which again is sitting on my Kindle.
*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I told myself I was going to write my review for the first installment as soon as I finished it. Well, that didn't happen. As soon as I finished Seven Sons I was looking through my kindle for the nest one. It was just as short and I was hooked for the next couple of hours, but it was just as twisted.
Six Brothers begins right were Seven Sons ended. The aftermath of Chad's death is intense and now Juliette is planning her revenge on the next brother. Of course, this is all mixed in with the fact that she needs to keep up appearances, please Dornan, hide her love for Jase, and work with Elliot. All exhausting tasks which means there are some slips and carelessness from Juliette.
Dornan is as crazy as ever and all I can think about is how can Juliette be able to do this! The pace for this second installment was a little slow and it wasn't as action-packed as the first one was. Of course, Juliette makes some crazy stuff happen that left me with my mouth hanging open. I still love her. More of her past is revealed and I just couldn't help but think that Juliette needs to hurry and give Dornan what he deserves.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and cannot wait to read the next one!!
Lili writes dark erotica and NA. Her debut serial novel, Seven Sons, was released in early 2014, with the remaining books in the series to release in quick succession. Lili quit corporate life to focus on writing and so far is loving every minute of it. Her other loves in life include her gorgeous husband, good coffee, hanging at the beach and running. She loves to read almost as much as she loves to write.
