Well helloooo there Elijah! Seems like you quite enjoyed your visit to Sugartown. Gotta tell ya, I enjoyed it too! This book kind of makes me want to find a small, out of the way town where no one knows me. Although with my luck, I’d stumble upon a population of bald, beer bellied old men. Not Elijah though, he gets a pretty, sexy little thing like Ana. And she bakes kick ass pies, what’s not to like about that?
Elijah moves to Sugartown, not really by choice, but because of his parole officer. He has a very questionable past that partly includes the Hell’s Angels, and those guys are NOT to be messed with. And you’ll come to find out that Elijah brings all kinds of secret’s with him. He’s also got quite the temper and let me tell ya, you won’t want to be pissing off someone he loves, just ask Scott, but at least that douchebag deserved it, if not more than he actually got.
Ana really is the sweet town girl, although everyone there thinks she’s the town slut thanks to the aforementioned douchebag Scott. And guess who’s shop Elijah is hired to work at? Yep, that would be good ole Bob, Ana’s dad. When she finds out this little detail she gives Elijah a few pointers on how to impress her dad… oh seriously this shit is funny, I loved it!
The chemistry between Elijah and Ana is fantastic! And even though he does have at least one jackass moment I dislike him for, as do most make MC’s, the author does a fine job at getting him back into my good graces. I could never give up on him, he’s just too freaking hot. First of all there’s his motorcycle, the tattoos, that deep down good heart that even though he was dealt a bad hand in life, the badness hasn’t completely taken over. Did I mention how hilarious he is?
"Holly might be as fucking crazy as a howler monkey locked in a cupboard full of crack”
I don’t even know what the heck a howler monkey is or if it’s even a thing, but I sure did get a crack out of that part.
Speaking of Holly, she is the batshit crazy, psychotic BFF of Ana’s, but I loved her too! She even gets some of this book to herself, which I completely appreciated, cause she’s pretty damn entertaining.
I pretty much loved everything about this book. The plot, Elijah, the chemistry, the BFF, Elijah, the bad boy with the motorcycle and tattoos factor, the hilarity of the characters (seriously I was for real lol’ing with this book), the heartache. Oh and did I mention Elijah? Go get him girls!
