Are you ready for Mariana’s story in this heart-wrenching NEW series!?
Author: Lili St. Germain
Series: Cartel #1
Genre: Biker Erotica
Release Date: 27th January 2015
The first full length Gypsy Brothers novel from the smash hit author Lili St. Germain.
How much is a life worth?
I grew up in Colombia, the daughter of a wealthy drug lord. I lived a life of extravagance, until one day a drug run went horribly wrong and everything came crashing down around us.
I was given away. A payment for a debt. The Gypsy Brothers Motorcycle Club became my new owners, and I did everything I could to survive.
But falling in love with the man who owned me wasn't part of the plan...
“Of All the things in life, love is the most confusing. The most all-consuming. The reason we breathe, the light in our darkness”
I’m not going to go into the story, but I will say it’s intense, raw, gritty, and violent with a dark and suspense aspect. It’s about loss, love, heartache, revenge, fear, hope, secrets and survival, and with the drugs and sex trafficking all thrown in for good measure. So its safe to say was an intensely captivating read.
“They say every girl want to marry her father, but I wanted mind to vanish”
I love Mariana, and my heart went out to her, her story was filled with sadness, she tries to be strong, she is feisty at times, says what she thinks, regardless of the consequences but underneath there is such as vulnerability about her. I could feel her desperation as she attempts to come to terms with the reality of her devastating the situation. I think knowing what I know, and about how it all ultimately for her made it more heartbreaking.
“I had never felt so alone in my life, and shit was going to get a whole lot worse before it got any better”
When it came to the crazy sick psychopath monster sorry, I mean Dornan. I liked that his point of view was in third person, as I so didn’t want to be inside his head. Lili doesn't take us for fools she knows we won't fall in love with him, after all that we now know about him, so she hasn't even tried to make us.
“He was a bad motherfucker, as bad as they come, he was merciless…. There was something about Dornan, something different I was afraid if him but not in the same way”
What she does do is makes us see a different side to him; make us understand where he came from. Learn about his life, with the Gypsy Brother, the Cartel, his relationship with his psychopath father and also John (Jules dad). There were times that I felt sorry for him, and I did get to see that softer side of him, so although I’m never going to like or love Dornan I may understand a little more.
“The darkness that flowed through his veins disgusted him, but trying to resist it had only ever made things worse. When tried to control the darkness inside him it didn’t abate, but stored up in increments, until it inevitably bubbled up like poison rendering his violence uncontrollable”
However, when I think about what he did in the end what he did to Jules, the words “Fuck You Dornan! Always came to mind.
Mariana and Dornan's relationship was an interesting and intense one, which left me with mixed feelings as it was developing. I kept thinking this is not right, but yet I could understand Mariana's feelings and Dornan also in someways. It was one of necessity, love, hate, pain and passion.
“Something burned between us, something powerful. Something that frighten me, because I liked it I liked him. And I didn’t want to”
“It was a dangerous proposition, to be falling in love with a woman who is owned by the Cartel”
For anyone who doesn't want to read it because of a hate for Dornan, I would say fine, don't read it for him read it for Mariana. As it’s her story, and that is what without a doubt is what pull me from the start. I was doubtful as to if I would like Cartel, and I can honestly say I did. Lili St. Germain has hooked me again with her amazing storytelling and writing. I loved intensely, and the emotions I felt while reading this one, and that shows in the many quotes highlights. As the story is far from over, I’m sure there is a lot more to come, plenty of twists and turn, and so much more to learn. Therefore it’s safe to say I can’t wait to read the next book in the series Kingpin.
She paused with the bread in her hand, looking around the room in mock surprise. ‘You mean, we’re not Beauty and the fucking Beast?’
‘Well, you’re certainly beautiful,’ he said.
‘And you’re definitely a beast,’ she countered, pushing her empty bowl away and resting back on the bed.
‘But there’s no happy ever after for you,’ Dornan added, his eyes trailing over the chains to reach the cuffs that were now permanent bracelets on her wrists.
‘No,’ she said evenly, matching his intense gaze. ‘Not for any of us. Not in this world.’

Title: Last Hit: Reloaded
Authors: Jessica Clare and Jen Frederick
Series: Hitman #2.5
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: January 20, 2015
There was a time when Nick loved the fear he instilled in his enemies. His tattoos alone promised danger, but it was the look in his eyes that delivered on it. A contract killer since he was just a boy, Nick has now forged a new life and a new identity with the woman who followed him, captured him, and changed him.
He terrified Daisy. Once. But she couldn't resist, and she ignored every warning. It paid off. Now she's part of a new beginning, a fresh start in America helping him to leave behind a reckless and violent past as a professional killer. But the past is never easy to outrun, especially when so much of it thrives on revenge.
A new threat has emerged from the shadows, and now Nick and Daisy have no choice but to rely on Nick's killer skills to protect them from everything they've tried so hard to escape.
Texty Teasers ;-)
Last Hit: Reloaded is a novella in the Hitman Series following the lives of Daisy and Nick. To enjoy this story, Last Hit, the full novel, is required to be read first.
Although Daisy’s character has changed from the first story until now, she has retained some of her innocence and I liked that. Both her and Nick are socially inept yet they share a deep love for each other and their relationship is pure in the sense that they put each other first. They are honest and don’t play games with the other.
“Nick and I don’t watch a lot of TV. There are so many other things to do with our time, like fix up the old apartment building, or go to the zoo, or take walks together… or simply make love. TV falls somewhere far down that list.”
Daisy is innocent in some respects, yet she is tougher in others. Her time under her father’s thumb and meeting Nick has changed her, for the better. She knows what is important to her, she is secure in the fact Nick is always looking out for her and will protect her at all costs, and this is something she returns.
“Nick pulls me in close and his mouth brushes over mine, and his touch never fails to send a shiver down my spine. I love this man. I would kill for him. I have killed for him.”
Nick once again proves Daisy is his everything. For me, it got a bit repetitive. I understood he would go to any length for Daisy, but at the same time I was thinking ‘enough already’. I found myself skipping some of the sex scenes. There are only so many ways Nick can fuse himself to Daisy, shy of super gluing her to himself, I’m not sure how else he can prove he needs her to breathe. Perhaps I wasn’t in the right frame of mind when I was reading this novella, but Daisy and Nick’s need for each other just got a little too much for me. I did like the reverence in which Nick held Daisy; I just thought in this case less is more.
With that being said, it was good to see Daisy and Nick try to widen their social circle. For characters that have lived a life of solitude, they need the interaction friends can bring. Even though they might not have been successful this time around, at least they realised how fortunate they were.
“You are different,” I admit. “So am I. We will never be the carefree youths we see about the campus. The dark hand of loss and suffering have shaped us into creatures who cannot be ordinary, as much as you may long for that. However, your irrepressible joy in life feeds me in a way that bread and water cannot. And Regan too responded to you in a like manner. I think these girls need only to know you better. To know you is to love you.”
Last Hit: Reloaded will be a hit for diehard fans of Daisy and Nick. Admittedly I was after more from their storyline, I was expecting something to drive the series forward but instead we got a small look into Daisy and Nick trying to adjust in their new lives. Don’t get me wrong, it was sweet and both Daisy and Nick share a deep love for each other, I was just after something a little different.
If you are a fan of the series so far then check this out for yourself. Now I’m left eagerly awaiting Last Kiss!

This is a pen name for Jill Myles.
Jill Myles has been an incurable romantic since childhood. She reads all the 'naughty parts' of books first, looks for a dirty joke in just about everything, and thinks to this day that the Little House on the Prairie books should have been steamier.
After devouring hundreds of paperback romances, mythology books, and archaeological tomes, she decided to write a few books of her own - stories with a wild adventure, sharp banter, and lots of super-sexy situations. She prefers her heroes alpha and half-dressed, her heroines witty, and she loves nothing more than watching them overcome adversity to fall into bed together.

Title: The Dammed
Author: Jennifer Synder
Category: Mature Young Adult
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 2nd, 2014
*This is a companion novel to THE UNLOVED. Both books may be read as standalones, although you will gain more story wise if you read them in order of release.*
Cole Porter knows his home life isn’t ideal, but when a situation arises and he’s forced to pack up and move on, he realizes it’s better to be in a position where you understand the ins and outs rather than to be tossed into the unknown.
Emory Montgomery is as close to perfect as she can possibly be—good grades, beautiful, poised, popular—but having it all isn’t always enough. Perfect has its drawbacks, and even the most flawless people crack under its pressure.
There are people who come into our lives for a reason, when everything else is shattered, burned, and bruised. Sometimes their purpose is clear, but often the smoke and the brokenness conceal the light.
“Silence is the most powerful cry”
Cole Porter doesn’t have the best home life; to be honest, its shitty lets just say his mother is never to win the Mother of the Year Award anytime soon. He can’t wait for the day when he turns 18 and can leave. However, when a situation arises with his mother, he has no choice pack up and move on to a new town where he meets Emory Montgomery.
“Emory Montgomery had captured my attention in ways I didn’t understand”
From the outside, Emory Montgomery life looks perfect, but looks can be deceiving. Being perfect and trying to conform to what others expected is hard to keep up something that Emory starts to discover. When she meets Cole, there is something about him; they are drawn to each other one broken soul to another.
“Maybe that was what I sensed in him, what seemed to captivate me about him most…his sense of brokenness. I realised then that it match my own”
We had drifted toward each other as if pulled by an invisible magnetic strength I couldn’t figure out, but I was utterly thankful for it because she was the only positive constant in my life."
I enjoyed the storyline; it's told from dual points of view. I won’t say too much about it, but it was an emotional read at times, and my heart went out to Cole and Emory. They act like they are strong, but at the same time there is a vulnerability about them. They were from different worlds, but they are two broken souls with issues that have developed unhealthy habits to cope with what is and has happened to them.
“Our eyes had only locked for the briefest of moments, but somehow I knew this about her. I knew that she was in pain, just like me”
I felt that Jennifer Snyder deals with two serious issues sensitively that I’m sure some readers will relate too. Their issues are not sugarcoated, and I was rooting for them both, together and individually. Hoping that they could survive, and overcome their situation and the obstacles that they both faced.
“We’re dammed if we do talk about the things we’ve been through, the things we’ve done to ourselves, and dammed if we don’t. There is no in between, no right or wrong it just is”
I do think that had the story been longer we could have had little more details of the overcoming process, but that being said I still enjoyed the story. I felt it was well written, and like the way it ended for Cole and Emory so happy for them both. I couldn’t help swap the last page with a big smile on my face.
I recommend this book if you’re a fan mature YA and NA books.

Sometimes the love our heart needs to heal can be found in the familiar eyes of a childhood friend...
Julie Porter learned the hard way that trust is something which must be earned and not something to be given out lightly, those who say they love you are those who hold the power to hurt you most, and best friends can help you survive anything—until they move away.
Nick Owen knows a thing or two about a hard life. At a young age Nick learned how to take a hit and to make lemonade out of the lemons life tossed his way. Returning home after nearly two years of being away, all Nick cares about now is protecting his mom from the abusive hands of his father and catching up with his best friend—the girl who lived across the street, the girl he can’t seem to stop thinking about.
Finally reunited after two years apart, Nick and Julie are about to learn that age does nothing to protect you from life’s trials and tribulations, heartache and loss, but maybe together they’ll find a way to survive.

Title: One To Leave (One To Hold #5)
Author: Tia Louise
Release Date: December 29, 2014
(Stuart & Mariska)
Some demons can't be shaken off.
Some wounds won't heal.
Until a pair of hazel eyes knocks you on your ass, and you realize it's time to stop running.
Keywords: military, western, alpha, billionaire, new adult, second chance, wedding, Thanksgiving, Christmas
A STAND-ALONE, ONE TO HOLD NOVEL. Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18. #SexyCowboy
Tia has seriously mastered the art of writing a series that gets better and better with each addition. While this book can be read as a standalone, I recommend you start at the beginning as these characters and their stories are interconnected. One To Leave was one that I just could not put down!
“Deep in my heart, I knew he belonged to me, but that wounded warrior wasn’t letting anyone in. He had his plans, and for whatever reason, they didn’t allow room for love.”
Stuart Knight returns from his service in the Marines, a broken man. He battles demons and struggles to return although he is injured. He wants nothing more than to give his service to his country. But deep down, he knows he must heal...physically and emotionally. Fate allows Stuart to meet Mariska Heron for a brief moment. But that brief moment was all that it took. Mariska felt something in that meeting. Something she is not willing to let go.
“You saved me from going back to a life that was killing me. How?”
Stuart ends up at his uncle’s ranch in Montana to heal and this sexy cowboy absolutely stole my heart. Without giving it away, fate intervenes once again and Mariska ends up at this ranch. Stuart feels this pull towards the beautiful woman. He is not interested in love, but his soul has recognized it’s other half in Mariska. Their pull is almost magnetic. I felt it. And it only deepens with time.
“You loved me when I wasn’t strong enough to love myself, let alone you.”
I found One To Leave to be the most sensual of all the books in the series. It’s not something that can be described, the connection is simply felt. Their chemistry is undeniable. The idea of fate and one’s soulmate is a constant and common theme throughout this book. I wouldn’t call this insta love. I would call this desire. Stuart and Mariska whole heartedly desire one another. This desire is passionate. It allows two people to truly follow their heart. This story is simply romantic.
“Be sure to thank your soul for wanting my broken one.”
Overall, One To Leave continues to add to the list of books by this author I have enjoyed and devoured. What I love about this series is that there are so many personalities that you will never find in any other series. Tia Louise’s writing adds depth to her characters and their stories. You will find yourself wishing you can be friends with him in real life. One To Leave is a heartfelt and wonderful addition to this series. I am absolutely over the moon that there will be more!
“I’m not leaving,” I gasped, needing him to stop.
He didn’t stop. He gave me three more swift thrusts before holding himself deep inside me, leaning over my shoulder as he groaned through his orgasm. He pulsed, filling me, then growing still. My heart beat so hard, and I couldn’t move. My bones were liquid as I lay on the bed.
Two more breaths, and he climbed onto the mattress, pulling me with him. I couldn’t resist if I wanted to as he wrapped me in his arms, holding me against his chest. His face was at my shoulder, buried in my hair, and he breathed deeply. We were both panting. Holding him, I could feel his pulse at my temple.
“Stuart,” I whispered.
“You’re mine.” He rumbled against my skin. “You don’t leave me.”
My jaw clenched. I was still recovering from that blazing fuck, and I hated how shockingly true his words were. I’d need the strength of Hercules to walk away from him. At the same time, I knew I had to stay strong.
“But you can leave me?”
He didn’t answer. He only held me firm against his chest. Our breath swirled in and out, mixing and mingling, and I wondered if he’d ever let me go. I wondered if I ever wanted him to. After a few moments, he did relax. He reached down and pulled the Indian blanket over me. Kissing my shoulder, he went to the bathroom and closed the door.
I pulled the blanket tight around me trying to calm my swirling emotions.
Tia Louise is the Amazon and International Bestselling author of the ONE TO HOLD series.
Her debut adult romance ONE TO HOLD was #1 in Military Romance on Amazon, a 2014 "Lady Boner" award-winner, and a Top 20 Contemporary Romance novel for several months. Subsequent books in the series have performed equally well.

Then the trouble nipping at Annora's heels finds her and Parker realizes the path to claiming his mate won't be as easy as he thought - especially not with the bears involved.
This is book three in the Black River Pack series. Each novella features a different couple.
“Besides which, I left Annora at the table when I saw you pull up,” he explained. “Poor girl probably thinks I’ve abandoned her, and she’s still too sore to move quickly enough to catch up to me.”
“Annora,” I whispered in wonder.
My brain was catching up to my wolf as I grabbed the door and swung it open to catch up to them only to stop dead in my tracks. The scent that drifted to me was sweeter than anything I’d ever smelled before. Like cotton candy on a hot summer’s day.
Breathing deeply, I zeroed in on the curvy brunette sitting in the corner booth. She really was here. My mate.

*This is a STANDALONE CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE.*
Aimee’s wedding is supposed to turn out perfect. Her dress, her fiancé and the location—the idyllic holiday ranch in Brazil—are perfect.
But all Aimee’s plans come crashing down when the private jet that’s taking her from the U.S. to the ranch—where her fiancé awaits her—defects mid-flight and the pilot is forced to perform an emergency landing in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
With no way to reach civilisation, being rescued is Aimee and Tristan’s—the pilot—only hope. A slim one that slowly withers away, desperation taking its place. Because death wanders in the jungle under many forms: starvation, diseases. Beasts.
As Aimee and Tristan fight to find ways to survive, they grow closer. Together they discover that facing old, inner agonies carved by painful pasts takes just as much courage, if not even more, than facing the rainforest.
Despite her devotion to her fiancé, Aimee can’t hide her feelings for Tristan—the man for whom she’s slowly becoming everything. You can hide many things in the rainforest. But not lies. Or love.
Withering Hope is the story of a man who desperately needs forgiveness and the woman who brings him hope. It is a story in which hope births wings and blooms into a love that is as beautiful and intense as it is forbidden.
• What did Tristan do that he desperately needs forgiveness for?
• Can I root for the budding relationship between Aimee and Tristan, knowing she has a fiancée waiting for her somewhere?
• Could any romance built under these circumstances thrive when reality inevitably comes crashing down on them again?
These are just a few of the questions I had before diving in to Withering Hope. I was more than ready to get these answers and begin what, from reading the synopsis, seemed like a frightening adventure, hopefully with heaps of romantic/sexual tension and angst. Bring it on.
I was pleased to see the author jump right into the action from the first few pages. I love a good backstory as much as the next girl, but it's great when a story can suck you in straight away and really get things going. I was surprised to discover that Tristan and Aimee actually knew each other prior to their disastrous flight, albeit not well. Even more interesting (or might eventually prove to be) was that Tristan knows Aimee's fiancée, Chris, since he is the pilot for his company's private jet. Maybe I should have assumed as such from the blurb, but, for some reason, I was expecting complete strangers going in.
From Aimee's admission, we learn that Tristan is closed off, a very private person. Their stilted relationship makes early encounters awkward, but there's no room for that in their predicament. Being stranded in the rainforest, with only each other to depend on for comfort and survival, forces them to become familiar pretty quickly. It's not long until they're working together, trying to make the best of their dire situation. Aimee and Tristan both turn out to be quite resourceful. As much as they need to depend on each other, though, Aimee still has a hard time getting Tristan to talk much, or open up to her. Turns out, he has his own reasons for keeping some emotional diatance, and I loved him even more for it. Slowly, but surely, Aimee breaks down Tristan's defenses, and a friendship begins to form... or is it more?
I thought the bond between us here in the rainforest was one of friendship. But maybe it's more. Maybe I feel more than I think for this man who's not only the strongest person I've met, but who also seems more determined to keep me alive than himself.
I absutely loved Aimee and Tristan. They were both well developed characters, both strong and complex. The way they handled the obstacles they faced after the crash was admirable, and I was sad to say goodbye to them at the end. Some of the romantic dialogue between the two came off a bit sappy at times, but other times it worked really well. I suppose it was nice to have a good dose of sweet when surrounded by so much struggle. I think the way their romance unfolded was handled well, and I couldn't fault them for finding such a connection when faced with what they had to live through daily while stranded in the rainforest. It's hard not to root for a couple to find happiness when they're in a life or death situation, surrounded by predators, illnesses, and the constant risk of injury or death. It was a beautiful thing to experience them finding solace in each other.
Without warning, he puts his arms around me in a tender embrace. From the plethora of feelings striking me in this moment-- heat, guilt, confusion-- most powerful is the feeling that I belong here in his arms.
I feel at home in them.
Maybe it's true what they say, that without darkness, you can never truly appreciate the light.
I fell in love with books when I was nine years old, and my love affair with stories continues even now, many years later.
I write romantic stories and can’t wait to share them with the world.
And I drink coffee. Lots of it, in case the photo didn’t make it obvious enough

Title: Title: Surviving The Rachel
Author: Aven Ellis
Genre: Chick Lit
Category: New Adult
Release Date: 20th December 2014
Life after college graduation is not at all what twenty-one-year-old Bree Logan expected. Unable to find a professional communications job, dumped by the guy who was THE ONE, and stuck with a pricey city apartment she can’t afford, Bree ends up moving back home with her parents in the suburbs and working as a cocktail waitress at a posh Chicago hotel.
In a desperate attempt to get a fresh start, Bree goes to a hip salon and requests that the first available stylist chop off her long dark hair. Alarmed when the stylist suggests “The Rachel,” after the famous haircut from the show Friends, Bree is hesitant, but decides to go for it when she is assured it will be a “fresh, modern adaptation” of the infamous 90’s cut. Unfortunately for Bree, it turns out to be exactly the same cut, but with horrific heavy bangs added to it. Hideous doesn’t even begin to describe it.
Bree is convinced nothing will ever go right when she meets neighbor Jack Chelten, a twenty-five-year-old German translator. Not that Bree is looking to date anyone, but there's something quirky and intriguing about his freckle-splashed face and blue eyes. And suddenly Bree finds herself seeking out different opportunities and challenges . . . as well as the boy next door.
In her new adult life, Bree learns that sometimes you have to go through crises to get to where you need to be. And if you can survive The Rachel, you can survive anything, right?
Charming, funny, sweet, cute and romantic are some the words that come to mind once I had finished reading Surviving The Rachel by Aven Ellis. From the first page, I just knew I was going to love this story and I did.
“You have to go through crises to get to where you need to be”
It may not have seemed it at first to Bree Logan, but being dumped by her boyfriend Alex, moving back home and having The Rachel haircut could just be the best thing that has happened to her. Especially when she meet Jack Chelten, the boy next door!!
“He’s like a firefly who has lit up the darkness. And I find myself drawn to his light”
Bree was smart, funny, and kindhearted, and I loved her. Jack was a sweetheart, and such a gentleman, smart, funny, caring and sexy. I love the way things develop between Bree, and Jack are just two people who belong together. There was such a natural feeling between them it wasn’t forced or rushed. They gravitate towards each other and bring out the best in each other.
“There is nothing else to this. Alex is my past, but you are my everything”
“I chose you. I chose you, exactly the way you are”
Loved the storyline such an easy entertaining read, that I read in on sitting about new beginning, taking chances, and finding love again. It was so funny, and I laugh out loud so many times especially at Doga …and it's real as I googled it. Love the references to one of my all time favourite shows friends, and learning a little German.
“Ich Liebe Dich ~ I Love You”
Just like all Aven's female characters I always get the butterflies or in Bree case fireflies in my stomach when reading one of her books, simply because I love the romance. And Aven knows how to write romance stories that leave me with a big smile on my face, and I never get tried of them.
“I knew right then that I just had the last first kiss I’d ever had in my life”
Overall, Surviving The Rachel was a great read with a fun bunch of characters. Love that Avery and Deke from Chronicles of a Lincoln Park Fashionista where back. Actually I just love the way Aven connects all her books together in some way. Bree and Jack's story is sweet, cute, and funny. A must read for all you romantics out there.
“Firefly,” he says, breaking the silence.
“What?” I laugh.
“Right there, hold on a second,” Jack says, pointing near the pond. “There!”
And I see it. A firefly lights up the darkness for a brief second, a flash of yellow in the dark sky.
“I condemned many fireflies to a sad death in a Cool Whip container in my childhood,” I admit, laughing.
“Did you poke holes on the top?” he teases.
“Of course! I didn’t try to suffocate them on purpose.”
“I was not,” I giggle.
“Challenge for you,” Jack says. “Can you still catch one?”
“Absolutely I can.”
“Oh, okay, you’re on. First one to catch five wins,” I say, throwing down my own challenge.
“I’ve so got this,” he declares.
So we both get up and begin catching fireflies. We’re laughing and teasing each other and before I know it, I have bested Jack.
“That’s five,” I declare happily, snatching the fifth firefly. I open up my palm to reveal it to him, and then I release it to the night sky.
And in a way, I feel released, too. I’m releasing the negativity about the job search, and I’m starting new tomorrow with Jack’s help. I gaze at his profile, and I know this German-speaking boy next door has something—if not everything-to do with this newfound feeling I have.
He turns and catches me looking at him. We don’t say anything for a moment, and another firefly flashes light between us.
“I guess I should be heading home,” he says softly.
“So I’ll see you tomorrow for sushi?”
“Yes,” I say, smiling back at him. “And I’ll send you my resume right now.”
Jack nods. “Okay then. I’ll see you tomorrow. And thank you for tonight.”
“I should be thanking you,” I say softly.
He turns and begins walking across the grass. I cross my arms over my chest, his sweatshirt still keeping me warm. Jack suddenly stops and turns to me.
“’Hochzeit mit Hindernissen,’” Jack says.
I begin laughing. “What?”
“The German title for ‘The One with Monica and Chandler’s Wedding,’” Jack says, grinning at me. “That’s one of my favorite Friends episodes.”
Another firefly lights up in front of me as I watch him walk away. And then I realize that’s what Jack is to me.
He’s like a firefly who has lit up the darkness.
And I find myself drawn to his light.
But writing about city council meetings and restaurant franchises was not as much fun as writing for young women trying to figure out their careers and potential boyfriends. So Aven got herself a job in television that allowed her to write at night. Connectivity is Aven’s debut novel; Waiting For Prince Harry and Chronicles of a Lincoln Park Fashionista (New Adult romantic comedy) will be published next year.
Aven lives in Dallas with her family. When she is not writing, Aven enjoys shopping, cooking, connecting with friends on social media, and watching any show that features Gordon Ramsay.

Paige’s confidence is shaken as she wonders if she can heal from her past and move forward, so Colton can have the life he was born to live.
Can Colton and Paige endure everything in fate’s path?
Or will Paige give up her one true love to give Colton the life he deserves?
Enduring Fate is the first book in Alicia Rae’s new series Fate For Love. I was looking forward to meeting cowboy Colton Kingston, who we had met briefly at the end of A Beautiful Purpose the last book in Alicia Beautiful’ series.
“Paige had change my fate the day she walked into my life. I was hers and she was mine”
It was simple Paige Summers was the love of Colton’s life, the woman who he had always planned to spend the rest of his life with his farm. However, their love and strength is tested when tragedy strikes. Paige starts to question what her future holds when the past still haunts her. For Colton it was still simple all, he wants, is Paige, and he is going to fight for what he wants.
“I’d loved this girl with my heart and soul, and now, I was going to remind her that my love for her would never change, no matter what challenges came our way”
Paige and Colton's connection is strong, and I like them together. Colton was a sexy cowboy with a heart of gold, and I liked him. I love the way he was with Paige, and the things he did for her. He was so sweet, and so patience, all he wants to make her happy, and show her that she doesn’t need to let the past influence her future. I liked Paige, and I felt for her as she struggling to put the past behind her, and her emotions are running high.
“Our kind of love is rare, Paige, and I won’t let your fears keep you from me. You are stronger than that. Our love runs deeper than that. It’s one of fate”
Love the way Alicia had incorporated my favourite characters from the beautiful series; it was lovely to see them again. As I read this book I, was looking to see who out of the secondary characters may have a book of their own later on in the series. I have a feeling that Paige’s best friend Ashlee and her sister Kayla may get one.
I will say the last chapter took me by surprise as I was not expecting the cliffhanger ending, and I did say out loud “what” but to be honest I didn’t mind. And I’m looking forward to the next book in the series Boundless Love, as its safe to say that Paige and Colton’s story is far from over, and it's now Paige who has to fight for her one true love.
Overall I enjoyed this book, I enjoy the storyline it was a heartfelt read. I love Alicia’s writing as it’s always passionate, and from the heart. I can tell she has a passion for horse and knows about life on a ranch. And as I write this review on a cold, wet day in England I know where I wanted to be, Oh yes on a ranch with my very own sexy cowboy.
If you’re a fan Alicia or you like a good romance, or simply you like cowboys then I recommend this book.
Thank you to my dear sister, Kels, who showed me a few years ago how much I truly missed reading. And to my loving husband, for not throwing away my Nook, and planting the seed of writing in my mind. I am forever grateful. Xo
Readers, words cannot thank you enough for supporting me along this incredible journey. I hope you enjoy my novels as much as I do writing them. I thank each and every one of you.
