*I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review
After reading the synopsis, I knew I had to read it. I was excited to see what would happen in the story; I mean, who doesn't love a hot bodyguard?
Chloe slept with one of her professors the preview semester which resulted in him getting fired. The whole student body was NOT too happy to see one of their favorite professors leave and blame Chloe for the whole thing. One student in particular is especially ticked and sent Chloe a few threats. Now Chloe has to walk around school followed by Jack, the bodyguard her parents hired. I liked Chloe. I found her to be strong since she stayed at a school where she was obviously not wanted and was not happy. If it were me, I would've left right on the first day. I loved Jack. He starts to care for Chloe and wants to protect her at all costs and not only because he's her bodyguard. He's very mysterious throughout the book and is keeping a secret that is also not letting him get closer to Chloe.
I really enjoyed the dual point of views. I loved being in Chloe's head as well as in Jack's. I thought the plot was going to go a whole different way. I was expecting this book to be full of action, and to me, it wasn't. I was also expecting the taboo element (bodyguard/protectee) to be stronger.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I loved Jack and Chloe. If you're looking for a light, sweet, a little sexy romance, I recommend you pick up this book.
