I have read every single Ginger Scott book. Her writing is magical. It overwhelms me. It challenges me. But Wicked Restless? It’s on a whole different level. It consumed me. I got lost within the pages. This? It may just be her best one yet.
Andrew Harper is a wild one. And so is his heart. When Andrew meets Emma Burke everything shifts. You feel it. They feel it. They are in deep. One night tests their feelings. Choices are made. Consequences are dealt with. Hearts shatter. Years later, underneath the hurt and turmoil, they discover that their hearts still beat for each other. Their souls still tethered.
“It's like he was stolen-taken by someone, tortured, and returned half the boy he was-only to grow into a man with holes and broken pieces.”
But love is wicked. Andrew is still broken. He has never forgotten the past. How much love crushed him. His spirit damaged because of one night. When chance puts him back in Emma’s life he is overwhelmed. Unsure if his heart can forgive. Andrew pushes the limits. He tries to make Emma feel what he did. He doesn’t understand why, but he is compelled to go through with his plan. Love hurts. Emma knows this. But Andrew doesn’t know Emma is hiding something. Something big. And it played a part in their demise.
“You get to come first. I don’t have a choice, Emma, the universe wants you to be my reason for living. I’m a salve to its demand.”
You have never read a story like this. You probably never will. Andrew and Emma are no strangers to tragedy. They find solace in each other until they can’t. And even years later, deep down under the darkness and pain, their love still shines through. Andrew’s tragic soul is spoke to me in this story. The author effortlessly places you within his heart. You understand the battle raging inside. You will love him. Deeply. Because his love? It’s the greatest of them all.
“If you want me – you have me. Or…more clearly…I’m yours.”
The writing is breathtaking. There is something so REAL about the author's words. They are compelling. Powerful. They will consume you. My heart was deeply invested in Andrew and Emma’s story. The author has a true talent of touching your heart with her words. You feel their pain. Their anguish. Conflict. You fall with them as they fall for each other. Andrew and Emma are unlike any characters I have ever met. Ginger pours her heart and soul into her characters and it is felt in the powerfulness of the emotions of this story.
"Emma", he breathes, his whisper against my mouth. "So long...I wanted...I waited."
"I ...I waited. For you. I...I haven't given this to anyone. I saved it. And I'm pretty sure I was saving it for you."
Wicked Restless challenges your beliefs on love. On love that is ceaseless. An enduring love. Their love is selfish. Their love is self-less. Unrelenting. And even those words cannot truly capture the greatness of their love . For their love knows no barriers, it shatters them. Their love simply bears all. Wicked Restless is truly a beautiful and profound story. It goes beyond the second chance. It’s about THE absolute love. The one where your heart beat only knows the one person it can’t beat without. Wicked Restless was a beautiful, touching, and poignant story. It will stay with me forever.
THE GIRL I WAS BEFORE (Falling #3)
NA Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 23, 2015
I’m the selfish one. I suppose that’s the nicest thing people say about me. I’ve heard the other things, too. “Paige Owens is a pretty girl with nothing else to offer. She’s just a good time at a party. She’s stupid, heartless, cold and useless. All she cares about is getting a guy to look at her. Why would anyone want to be her friend?”
Some of those things are true. Others were true. They’re all hurtful.
None of it matters.
I’m ready to make the hard choices. I’m ready to face the consequences. I’m ready to be the girl I was before, and I’m done being the one who lost her way.
I’m ready to become the girl Houston Orr sees when he looks at me.
Houston isn’t a star athlete. He doesn’t play in a band. He’s never going to be president, and his life is so far away from simple and easy it isn’t even funny. He wasn’t part of my plan. But I’m starting to think plans are overrated, and maybe our stories are what we make them. And mine depends entirely on me, and the choices I make…starting now.
Houston is my fairytale. He’s perfectly imperfect. He’s poetry and life. He’s truth and heartbreak, all rolled up in a tall body with dark hair, broad shoulders and green eyes that lull me into submission. He’s nothing I ever thought I wanted, but the very thing I need. He’s the only guy I’ve ever really loved, and he thinks I’m a princess. I fell into him, and now I’m holding on.
But sometimes life takes away our ability to choose. Sometimes…things aren’t in your control. Sometimes, it hurts to be selfless. My only hope is that when it comes time to choose, I get it right.
Welcome to my once upon a time and wish for happily ever after.

Selfish. Heartless. Useless. Just a few words to describe Paige Owens. Until Houston Orr. He sees Paige. He sees through her. He just sees HER.
Whether you’ve read the series or this is your first time, you quickly learn how everyone feels about Paige. She is not everyone’s favorite person. Her deceitful ways have built her a reputation. But something deep down tells you that there is something about this girl. Something beyond the surface. Something more than the person she portrays on a daily basis. There is so much more to Paige Owens than I could have ever imagined.
As much as Houston becomes a game changer for Paige, she did the same for him. He lived a pretty mundane and monotonous life until Paige came crashing in. She came with a force and he had no chance but to meet her head on. But Houston knows he cannot just dive in. His life? It’s complicated. It’s not his own to live. Not anymore. But Paige? He can’t get enough. He’s drawn to her. And you feel their electricity. You feel their need. Their want. Their desire. It’s overwhelming. It’s intoxicating. And it might be dangerous. Because with feelings like that? It’s easy to get burned.
“This strong goddess who doesn’t need anyone to save her, but damn does she need someone to believe in her.”
What happens when life doesn’t let you choose? Your circumstances and the man you irrevocably fall in love with? What happens when life simply just happens? When love alters life? Suddenly things that were once important are not. People and statuses become insignificant. Paige is done being THAT girl. You feel the moment when things shift. It begins with him. Houston? He is unexpected. He is truth. He is light. He is everything. Houston sees the broken girl that he wants to desperately to put back together. And people never see Paige. They see the exterior. Houston sees her heart.
“With Houston, I’m me – I’m my flaws and my good stuff all at once. And he seems to want both parts.”
Paige’s story absolutely captivated me. The author effortlessly bared the soul of a character that as a reader I never thought I could relate to. But in the end I think I related to her the most. Paige has the most beautiful heart. But that heart was hidden under so many layers. Houston Orr uncovered that heart the moment he met Paige. The moment his heart started to beat in sync with hers. Houston has the most beautiful soul. He speaks love. It pours out of him. While life challenged Houston, he did what others couldn’t do. He loved harder. But this is no fairytale. Their journey is not perfect. Their love? It’s heartbreak. Because loving Houston means being selfless.
“I’ll always come. I’ll always pick you Paige. Always...you.”
The writing is flawless in it’s execution. Every word breathes meaning into the life of this story. Can we talk about the first kiss? This author has a true talent in capturing the most intimate moments. They are beautiful and inspiring. The Girl I Was Before is unlike anything you will ever read. It’s genuine. The characters are real. You will FEEL everything. The author allows you to fall in love with Paige as she never wavers from her true character. And that? It was my favorite part. Despite the circumstances and choices to be made, Paige and Houston loved loudly. They loved fiercely. Not with their words, but with their actions. You were never told about their love. You felt it the entire time. What a powerful way to end a series that will stay with me for a long time to come.

Ginger Scott is one of those authors that goes beyond writing. She breathes life into her characters. Wild Reckless is no exception. You feel this because of the words of this story. Because those words? They become everything...
“He’s hiding, but I see him.”
Kensington (Kensi) Worth had plans for her senior year. Those plans were a bit derailed as she was forced to move from the city to a small town due to her dad’s new job. As an amazing piano player, Kensi is going places. However if her dad has anything to do with it, she will not be playing the blues as she so much more prefers. As she is settling in, she notices the dark eyes of her neighbor, which she later learns is Owen Harper. Owen lives on the edge, at all times. He is danger. Those Harper boys are known for that because of their history. And everyone knows that, including Kensi. When Kensi’s world comes crashing down, everything she knows is ripped away from her. Life isn't the same. Owen Harper finds his way into her life and eventually her heart.
“Owen Harper is everything.”
THAT PROLOGUE. My heart is still reeling over it. Without giving too much detail, it starts at a fair. I swear it was like the author placed me in that very moment. I heard everything. Smelled everything. Felt everything. I was so consumed and lost in the moment. I fell for Owen Harper the moment I saw his name on a page. For everything he’s been through, for everything he’s seen. His heart, although shadowed with darkness, it is the most beautiful.
“And I’m afraid I’m losing myself to danger-the worst kind that rules your heart.”
Owen pushes people away further giving in to the notion of his dark, wild, and dangerous heart. He is afraid to love. As love has only brought him guilt, pain, and loss. But Kensi sees pass the darkness. She sees Owen and his light. She sees the most self-less person. He puts those he cares for before himself. Always. Owen has the biggest heart as he loves with absolute conviction all while believing he is not worthy of being loved. Until Kensi. You FEEL his heart slowly open. He falls hopelessly, irrevocably, and effortlessly in love. And it’s beautiful. It’s overwhelming. It’s reckless. And that’s the kind of love that makes my heart flutter as I read their story.
“I love you...but I will suffocate you. Drown you. Loving me...it will kill you.”
If I could call the love between Owen and Kensi, I would call it inspirational. They inspire each other to want to achieve every single goal they have set for themselves. Their love lit the spark in their hearts to go after what they want. The moment Owen set his eyes on Kensi, I FELT his soul breathe. Their love transcends, it shatters everything dark in their lives.
“...Because I think I need you to survive. I think I need you to love me, because that’s literally all I’ve got.”
Wild Reckless is deep. It shatters the usual cookie cutter recipe for Mature YA. So much happens in Kensi’s life that serves as a catalyst for Owen’s life to completely change. He no longer exists. He’s living. He’s loving. His shattered pieces from his childhood become whole again. But the road to love is not so easy. Wild Reckless is a brilliant story about love, life, and loss and what happens when you truly listen to your heart-regardless of how reckless it may seem. That no matter how scary circumstances are, your heart will never lead you astray as it always ends up where it belongs. So live. Choose love. Always. For love endures. It never falters.

Tyson Preeter. We first meet him in This Is Falling and fall instantly for him. He’s hot, has a crazy sense of humor, and he doesn’t do “can’t”. If you haven’t met him until this book, that’s ok. Because whatever you think you know or will find out about Tyson Preeter? It’s wrong.
Tyson Preeter is unlike any male character you have ever met. I am not talking about the usual drop dead gorgeous guy that falls in love with a girl. Ty? He’s got heart. He’s got soul. Oh and he’s paralyzed from the waist down. But that never stops him. He lives life. He loves life. Oh and girls. But Ty doesn’t do love. It’s just easier that way. Until he meets Cass. She’s different. She makes him want to be different. Cass opens up his heart in ways he never thought possible. When he learns her secret, he realizes that she is his missing piece. He sees his soul in Cass. He sees that recognizing and dealing with the past and insecurities doesn’t show weakness. It shows courage, strength, and resiliency.
“I love her for everything she is, and I love her for how much she makes me believe in the possible. She’s defiance, in all of its glory.”
Despite Ty’s outside demeanor of confidence and cocky, we learn that when he lost his ability to walk, he also lost a piece of himself that he will never get back. Cass and Ty face obstacles that people their age will probably never face. The author eloquently writes two characters that show a strength and a will to live that most people will never have, yet she displays their vulnerabilities in a manner that truly allows the reader to understand Ty and Cass and everything they continue to face not only as a couple, but as individuals. The humor and emotion displayed in this book is perfectly balanced. Ty and Cass have a banter that will have you laughing out loud. They are witty, charming and all around one of my favorite couples in a book. At other times you will be crying. Crying for two beautiful souls dealt a rough hand in life, but are willing to live and love harder than everyone else. The connection between Cass and Ty cannot be put into words. Ty's love for Cass? It runs deeper than anything I have ever experienced in a book. Their emotional bond is beautiful, raw, and heartfelt. THIS. BOOK. You will feel EVERYTHING.
“And as far as I’m concerned, from now on, there is just you…and everything after.”
You And Everything After is a beautiful, poignant story of love and acceptance. The writing is flawless as the author weaves a story that grips you from the very first page all the way until the end. You are immersed in a world of Ty and Cass and you will not want to leave. The delivery of the story is powerful in that you feel every up and down Ty and Cass endure. You LIVE their journey to love. Their journey to acceptance. Their story strongly supports the notion that despite the circumstances we face in life, we must not only recognize our capability to love, but accept the love we deserve. You don’t know and understand love until you read Ty and Cass’s story. Their love shatters the definition of true love in that it defies everything you ever believed about it. Yes. Their love shatters, yet it makes them whole. Their love finds it’s way through darkness and comes out on top. Their love heals.
