So long Jack & Grace. I'll miss you, Sweet Nuts & Crazy. Now George, never EVER let go of those boobies, AGAIN!
This is by far one of my favourite series ever. So thank you Alice for giving it to us! These books are so much fun to read. They are filled with such laugh-out-loud humour, and tons of funny, hot, and romantic sexy times. And by tons I don’t really mean TONS, like the kind that takes away from the story and you get sick of reading about it. This is well thought out and is truly a read over and over kind of series! I had to wait over a year for The Redhead Plays her Hand, I was going through desperate withdrawals. And then Alice finally showed up and didn’t miss a single beat with the final Redhead instalment. From beaches and bird shit to the best non-sex ever, there was never a dull moment in lives of Jack and Grace. However, in this chapter of their lives, there was much more tension as their careers and popularity started to take off. Some asshole named Adam came into Jack’s life and decided he’d show him how to party like a bad boy movie star. Under the pressure of his ever increasing fame, Jack cracked under it all and in the process broke Grace’s (and my) heart. He walked out on her during a crucial moment in her life, but she never gave up on him. They really are made for each other and you never give up hope when you have found your true love. If Jack and Grace were a real life couple their awesomely-in-love-soulmate status would make me want to barf! Ok, so that’s a tad dramatic, but gawd I love those two so much it hurts. And at the end of this story, despite all the crap about what Holly said and wanted for his public image, Grace knew what Jack needed and without even a word or glance between them, she ran to him. OMG it was so PERFECT! And at the very end on the beach… even more perfect! Now excuse me while I go lay in bed and cry with my bag of Chex Mix while I watch re-runs of the Golden Girls, because the Redhead is done and there will be no more of my Brit to be had. Well unless Alice says there will be more... Alice? Fine. Ok. I'll just have to start reading from the beginning again. So if you haven’t read this series yet, DO IT! BUY IT! I am jealous of you already to read it for the very first time. This series has it all, and I LOVED every moment of it!
“He smiled, reaching out to sweep his fingers across the necklace he gave me, the word schmaltz facing out, but our secret names facing in. George loves Gracie.”
This is probably one of the most bittersweet endings to a series EVER! Our Sweet nuts & Crazy girl are retired, and I for one couldn’t be happier for them! But agggghh! It’s just so weird watching something you love come to an end. Or I guess I’ll be on the positive side and say Beginning! All I can say is what a perfect finish to one of my favorite series! I never thought the word Boobies would have such an impact on my life! “If the boobies are out, no talking will happen.” Grace’s heart and backbone are put to the test when she’s told to conform to society’s view of what’s appropriately skinny! I believe the exact words were that she needed “more cheekbone” this bothered me so much! Not because it’s in the book, but because of how true it is in real life! But when you’re the star of a brand new TV series, and your boyfriend is the Sexiest Man Alive I guess you’re already prepared for these Hollywood stereotypes. And this third book really made me feel for both Jack & Grace, having to protect and defend their love in a very publicly demanding and judgmental world. It made them vulnerable to each other which I believe brought them even closer together and in the end, made them that much stronger. The yellow brick road to bliss wasn’t easy for these two though. Jack’s success consumes him. Out of control fans, Holly’s overseeing eye, and the added pressure of not being able to go public with Grace just about topples him. He turns to alcohol, and nights out with the guys, which Grace was all for in the beginning. But it just gets to be too much, and he ends up overdoing it big time. Jack makes some questionable choices, and there’s this Adam dude who spends way too much time with our Brit and it’s the old cliché—you are who your friends are! Jack pissed me off for a minute, but I knew he would redeem himself. “As I worked, Jack played. Sure he spent his days on the set filming, but he spent his nights out on the town. And then his days sleeping it off. He was young, and this town laid itself out for him.” Grace has her own issues to deal with in this book, and there’s no denying her love for Jack. She ends up taking the brunt of relationship duties, and even calling him out on his bad behavior. Jack dismisses her effort with indifference for the most part, but Grace makes it known, her love for Jack never faltering. This is why I love Grace, no matter what she stands tall and stays strong for her man! I mean I’d have a hard time staying mad at that guy too! “I love you.” “I love you more.” “Not bloody likely.” In the end I absolutely adored this book! I knew I would, it’s just one of those books that I was destined to love! The quirky sexy banter, the funny sweet interactions, the hot way Jack LOVED his Gracie! All of it! And the ending… Ohhhhhh the ending is so good. If you haven’t read this series, READ IT! Or else I will pull out my crazy and sick my sweet nuts on you! “I was falling for you the moment you pushed your boobies in my face, even with the sparkle. ![]()

She is hard at work on the third book in The Redhead Series, set to release in Spring of 2013, continuing the saucy and sexual escapades of everyone’s favorite couple, Jack and Grace. Additionally, Alice loves spending time with her besties on Not Your Mother's Podcast, make sure you check them out at notyourmotherspodcast.com or over on iTunes. 3 women rushing towards their forties still acting like teenagers. A saucy little mix of sex, love, relationships, pop cultural, celebrity gossip and All Things Jake Ryan. Alice enjoys pickles, Bloody Mary’s, 8 hours of sleep, and a good pounding. Finally Alice would also like all her readers and listeners to help her convince Mr. Alice that the only other thing that would make her truly happy is finally bringing home a Bernese Mountain Dog. She is totally serious. And done talking about herself in the third person…
