"Without a doubt, the chemistry between the party-girl heroine and the geeky-but-adorable hero is off the charts explosive."—RT Book Reviews
"Fun, fandom, romance and the perfectly sweet kind of opposites attracting."—NY Times Bestselling author, Jay Crownover
*I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.*
Contradictions is the final book in the Woodfalls Girls series. Tressa is the last remaining party girl, she’s known for her dares and free spirit but when a tragic accident shakes Tressa, she can’t help but re-evaluate her life and her behaviour.
Trent, geek boy extraordinaire, is drafted in to help Tressa and her failing grades. Of course, his life long crush on Tressa fails to go unmentioned. But Tressa is adamant he’s the wrong type of guy for her; she doesn’t do smart and caring. After a tumultuous relationship with her ex, Tressa believes she doesn’t deserve better but soon Trent has her feeling differently.
This was a real sweet, easy read. It was about Tressa’s journey and her changing as a person. She believed she had to act a certain way, or expected to be treated in a certain manner. But once she ditched the party girl persona, Tressa realised there was more to her and even though she may have lost a few relationships and friendships along the way, she gained more important, long lasting ones in their place.
Trent was Sheldon Cooper in book boyfriend form. He was a computer geek, with a rocking body and geeky t-shirts. He didn’t hide his attraction for Tressa and I expected him to be shy with it, but he wasn’t and I loved when he was being straightforward with her.
This was a good new adult novel. It embraced the theme of finding yourself and being the person you can be proud of. Tressa didn’t like the path she was taking and she changed it. I didn’t really feel there was much drama or a huge climax but it was sweet nonetheless and makes for some great, easy reading.
As always Tiffany King’s writing is delicate and enchanting. I loved the dynamic between Tressa and Trent and found their relationship to be wholesome.
If you have enjoyed this series so far then I’m sure you will enjoy this sweet conclusion.
