I've been liking this series so far and I love that each installment starts right were the last one left off.
This time around we get to be in Wes' head! I liked it. We got to see how he really feels about Val from the moment they met until now. He was really sweet and I could definitely tell that his feelings for Val were genuine. I also liked that we got to learn a little more about Wes' past and what/how he ended up in Vegas. From the moment I read the first installment, I've been going back and forth on whether I like Wes or not. Well...I'm still not sure how I feel about him.
Then there's Max. He's definitely the opposite of Wes and a complete douche. He rubs me the wrong way. I bet we'll see more of him in the next installment. But I did like that because of him there was a little twist that I was not expecting.
This series has been sweet, sexy and funny so far. And I love the soap-y feeling it has. So will the divorce papers get signed? If so, will they start dating or will they go their separate ways? Ahhh! I can't wait to see what happens next!
"She laughed but didn't put up much of a fight. It was as if she was just waiting for me to catch her. Like she knew that's where she belonged."

Oh boy oh boy, I go back and forth with this man we know as Wild Wes. I softened towards him in the last book and was giving him the benefit of the doubt but then he says a bonehead comment and now I'm back to swinging on the fence.
The Wild One is the first part of the series that is from Wes' point of view. I did like this as we needed to get inside his head to learn where he stood on the whole drunken marriage saga. And yes, while it seems Wes is genuinely falling for our dear Val, I was disappointed when he admitted he seen her as a bit of a meal ticket at first. That's just not cool. Anyhoo, what he lacked in tact he made up for in sweetness and we got to know Wes better with a little bit of his background coming into play. He did seem a little bit on the soft side during his point of view, sensitive perhaps where I expected more of an edge but he was sweet all the same. I also liked that he wanted to date Valerie properly and I thought their first date was cute.
Valerie's ex Max, throws his hat into the ring all of a sudden, because that's what guys do when they see a threat. I would like to see Val's confidence rise and for her to believe in herself that she is more than worthy of two men fighting over her. I liked the twist at the end, I thought that was the route Wes would take and it teases you for the next installment. It can go any which way!
This is a fun series, the writing is light and easy to read with humour and sweet times thrown in. You should definitely check it out.
