Release Day Celebration ~ Ready To Fall by Daisy Prescott ~ Character Interview and 2 Great Giveaways
John day joins us for a chat...
Does your beard give you any powers with the ladies? ;)
With them or over them? Or my favorite, under? (winks) It might. I know there are women out there who say they don't like beards on men, but that tells me they've never been with a man with a beard. Trust me, ladies love the beard. Maybe not a full on Duck Dynasty style. (shudders) For the record, I keep mine trimmed. Haven't heard any complaints yet.
Have you ever been in love? Had a broken heart?
I'm in love now. 100% Before? Maybe. I thought I was in love in college, but it's nothing to what I feel now. Nothing. Broken heart? Sure. Who hasn't had their heart broken? Fucking stings like nettles. For a long time, I avoided risking my heart. It wasn't worth the hurt.
What is the quality you most like in a woman?
It's a tie. Self-confidence is so fucking sexy. I don't think women realize how much of a turn on a confident woman is. At least for me. The second quality I like most, in a man or woman, is honesty. Gotta be honest. I hate lying.
Describe your perfect date.
It ends with breakfast. And maple syrup.
Can you dance? ;)
(grins shyly) Maybe, but not in public. I can sing, too. (winks)
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Fuck, I don't know. I probably swear too much. Yeah, that's it. I'm a man of few words.
What is your greatest regret? Do you have one?
I do have one, which you can read about in Ready to Fall. I don't like to talk about it, but I think I've learned my lesson, though. Now if I love someone, I tell them. Often. As much as I can.
What word is synonymous with John Day?
**Grand Prize Giveaway**
Before writing contemporary romantic comedies, I worked in the world of art, auctions, antiques, and home decor. I earned a degree in Art History despite being convinced I would major in English and endured a brief stint as a film theory graduate student. Over the years I’ve acquired many titles: baker, art educator, antiques dealer, content manager, blue ribbon pie maker, fangirl, blogger, freelance writer, gardener, wife, and pet mom are a few of them.
Born and raised in San Diego, my husband and I currently live in a real life Stars Hollow in the Boston suburbs with our dog, Hubbell, and an imaginary house goat.
Ready to Fall, my second novel, will be released on December 17, 2013 and features John Day, the hot, sexy neighbor in Geoducks. I’m busy researching my next novel, which will not feature any bivalves.
