Liv and Dean West have always fallen together, but this time they might fall apart...
Liv and Dean have everything…almost. With a rambunctious toddler, crazy work schedules, and too many responsibilities, they’ve lost sight of their passionate, intimate marriage. And Professor West is none too happy about that.
Determined to lure his wife into hot new adventures, Dean struggles with his need to have Liv all to himself and the reality of sharing her with the world.
Then he gets an opportunity that could change their lives…and Liv is faced with the prospect of her white knight going places where she can’t follow.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I am a huge fan of this series. When I heard that Liv and Dean were getting another story, I was ecstatic! I don’t think you’ll ever read how much a man loves his wife until this series. Wife. When Dean says it, it’s sacred. Liv is so much more than his better half. She is a part of his very heart and soul.
“My love for my wide is powerfully intense and secure, bone-deep, the essential part of me. It’s the solid ground under my feet, a feeling as inevitable as a sunrise.”
Life after the happy after is not easy. At least it isn’t for Dean and Liv. These two are now raising a toddler and dealing with their busy careers. Liv has the store and is balancing more than she can handle. Dean is constantly traveling due to his job and has been presented with an opportunity that could possible change everything. Liv and Dean make it a point to spend time together, but their busy lives push them apart. Despite their circumstances, the love and passion between Liv and Dean is constant. It’s always felt. In their actions, their words.
“Because you are my best day, beauty.”
Dean’s devotion to his love for Liv is truly what makes this book (and the entire series!) so special. Adore is no different. The author places you in their lives and they go through the ups and downs. Adore was an emotional, sexy, and heartwarming story of the ever after. It is very rare than an author so masterfully captures the essence of the work it takes to make a marriage work. This was such an unforgettable read. I do not want to give away the plot, but what I will say is that if you are a fan of this series,
“I will climb mountains and cross oceans to get to you. You fill every fucking part of me, my blood, my heart, my soul. I will slay monsters for you until the end of time.”
I don’t think it’s even possible that a man could love as deeply as Dean loves Liv. Just not possible. She is everything good in his heart. In his soul. He’d move mountains for her. His love is powerful. Unwavering. It gets stronger with each passing day. You FEEL his love through the entire story.. But no. This love isn’t one sided. Liv loves Dean beyond words. She loves without regard. Deeply. Her love for him is intoxicating. Overwhelming. She truly never thought she could love until she met Dean. Because how can you give it when you’ve never received it? Dean has opened Liv’s heart and it’s his to keep. I don’t think their devotion to each other is truly understood until Adore. Their love knows no boundaries.
“You came back.”
“I will always come back to you.”
I am not sure that I have ever read a book about a married couple that felt so real. So genuine. They face a lot of the normal things couple face, however due to their past and insecurities, Dean and Liv are challenged in their relationship with careers. They are faced with new opportunities. These opportunities may threaten what they have. Adore was everything I needed. I am so thankful that the author gave us a glimpse back into their lives again. The writing was flawless. The story was masterfully executed in a way to remind you of why Dean and Liv are so special. While their powerful love story concludes in this book, their love will continue to live on.
“If I know nothing else in life except the truth and heart of Olivia West, I’m the luckiest man alive.”
