He was convinced he’d be a bachelor for life. And then he met the girl of his dreams.
Jordan Reeves has fully embraced the carefree, uncomplicated bachelor life, figuring that the poor example he’d been provided by his parents of so-called marital bliss was reason enough to remain single. He’s more than content to date one woman after another and never even consider settling down, especially since the only female who’s ever seriously caught his attention belongs to another man.
But during a vacation in Hawaii, Jordan unexpectedly meets a woman who could very easily change his mind about the joys of bachelorhood. Aubrey Larson is young, gorgeous, fun-loving, and has a wicked sense of humor to match his own. She’s also a dead ringer for the woman Jordan’s had an admitted crush on for the past few years, enough to be mistaken for her twin.
Aubrey recognizes the handsome Doctor Reeves as a player of epic proportions the first time they meet, but even her usual disdain for that type of male can’t diminish the overwhelming attraction she feels for him. But as their relationship deepens, Aubrey has no idea that becoming involved with Jordan will lead to a startling discovery about her own past, and cause her to question his true feelings for her.
I honestly cannot remember a time where I’ve thoroughly enjoyed a book as much as this one. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. But this is what Ms. Nissenson’s does with her books. With her characters. You never read them, you live through her words.
Jordan Reeves aka Doctor Dreamboat loves the ladies. And the ladies sure love him. He’s pretty well known for his Bachelor status. And he has no intentions of changing that. That is until he sets his sights on Aubrey Larson during a vacation trip. While she reminds him briefly of someone, he quickly learns that that similarities end at the physical appearance. Aubrey is feisty, sexy, and not afraid to speak the truth and call him out when she sees fit. He’s determined to get her to dinner. And he does not stop until she finally says yes!
There’s an intensity between Aubrey and Jordan. Their connection is fire on the pages. Palpable. Profound. Jordan’s love for Aubrey will leave you breathless. His love is manifested in the way he speaks. His actions. His love is bold. Fierce. He also loves with laughter and joy. This book was the perfect union of romance, passion, and humor. But when Jordan fails to be honest with Aubrey, it could cost him the very thing that he thought he would never find in life. Her love.
One of my favorite things about this book is the writing. The author holds nothing back as she delivers a heartfelt narrative on love and fate. And the importance of truth in love. The execution of the story was flawless in the tangible and honest narrative of Aubrey and Jordan’s journey to love. This is not my first book by this author. With every new book of hers I am blown away by her talent of remarkable storytelling. There are some twists in this book that adds exciting layers and depth to the storyline. Ms. Nissenson is undoubtedly a master at crafting stories that are truly the epitome of romance. Her words are a testament to the power in love.
The Girl Of His Dreams was definitely one of my favorite reading experiences. Hilarious. Romantic. Sensual. This book had the perfect recipe of what all romance stories are made of! I was so easily invested in not only the storyline, but the character themselves. I laughed with them. Cried with them. And most importantly? I felt the moment they fell in love. Love is a risk. It’s giving someone else power to hurt you, but trusting them not to. Aubrey and Jordan materialized this. Despite how the story unfolds when all comes to light, it was their love that was never questioned. I could totally see this book come to life as a movie. There was so much heart and life within this book and the characters that I find myself thinking about these characters days after I read The End. Well done! I can’t wait to read the next Bachelor’s story!

Three sugars, two creamers.

You don’t remember anything.

Ollie noticed Reid Valentine since the very first time he laid eyes on him at the coffee shop him and his work partner frequent on a daily to weekly basis. The very first time Reid notices Ollie, is a moment that solidifies what’s to come. When tragedy strikes and the smoke clears, Reid remembers Ollie, but not much else. Through tragedy, an unexpected yet genuine connection forms between these two.
“I just didn’t realize how empty my life was until you filled it.”
Ollie and Reid are magic on the pages. The push and pull of their relationship had me totally engrossed in their story. Unable to ignore the overwhelming desire for each other, they give in. The fall is something to behold. Sexy and endearing, Ollie and Reid’s story is nothing short of extraordinary. What could have been darkness and loneliness, emerged as love and light. The author’s unquestionable talent is manifested in not only the unique storyline but also how she brilliantly encompasses the deepest vulnerabilities of these two men while telling one of the most epic love stories I’ve read in a really long time. Deep and exquisitely moving, Forget Me Not is a compelling journey of falling in love, learning it’s limitations, while understanding love itself is an endless promise.
“Ollie? Is it always like this?”
“No…No, it’s never like this.”
But what happens when circumstances change? When love is forced to go against the unthinkable? Without giving too much away…your heart will race throughout this entire book. They were never supposed to happen…but they did. It’s a lesson of love and life. That loving someone is also giving that someone a power that no one else holds. That the past can come back and shatter hearts to pieces. But isn’t love strong enough to withstand that? This is the very reason why I am beyond excited to dive into book two. To say I loved this book would be an understatement. Exhilarating yet heartfelt, THIS book is the recipe for exceptional M/M romance.
My worst nightmare and your greatest fear became a reality:
You don’t remember me.
You don’t remember the accident, or the weeks afterward.
You don’t remember my bed as your safe place, or when, against all odds, you fell for me.
You remember me only as the casual acquaintance you saw as you grabbed your daily coffee.
Three sugars, two creamers.
Perhaps an acquaintance is all I’ll ever be to you now.
Maybe I can shoulder the heartbreak and the loss of you, if it means you’ll be happy.
You remember me when.
Remember Me When is the second and final book in The Unforgettable Duet and should only be read following Forget Me Not.

Ollie’s greatest fear is realized. Heartbroken and lost, he is not sure what to do. Maybe that time together was supposed to be temporary. Maybe it was supposed to be more. But this deep longing for Reid still lives within him despite the emptiness he sees when he looks into his eyes. Somewhere buried underneath all of that tragedy, Reid has to know and love him right? But Reid doesn’t remember. While the mind lacks memory, the heart still feels. Drawn to him in ways he cannot describe, Reid is fascinated by these feelings whenever Ollie is near. But can you fall in love with the same person twice? You will need to read this remarkable story to find out.
In book two of this duet, it’s told in dual POV. I think this was brilliant on the author to do this as it allowed the author to bring her readers deeper into the circumstances and heartbreak that surrounded Ollie and Reid. And how the impossible could become the possible. Can they find their way back to each other? This story is told with a vulnerability that many authors cannot capture much less in two distinct voices.
“I don’t understand how you can look at me like that”
“With your entire heart in your eyes.”
The Unforgettable Duet is an impassioned love story that is a testament to love and all of it’s endless possibilities. The characters. Ardent. Inspiring. The beauty of this book lies entirely at the feet of Ollie and Reid. They loved beyond limits and circumstance. The story line. Unique. Sensual. Deeply touching. The writing. I could talk about forever. Her words are powerful in it’s prose, yet seductive in it’s delivery. Whether it was heartbreak or they loved in silence or out loud, it was unmistakable. This is what her writing does. It’s gripping. Awakening. Brooke Blaine? You. Moved. Me. If I was asked to recommend a book that challenged love and all it entails. A book that pushes boundaries. That manifests in the sheer magnitude of love existing through darkness and tragedy. This? This is that book. So. Well. Done. My heart is full.

You guys. THIS. BOOK. My thoughts over this book are still racing in my mind. I am on a high. This astonishing book was the one I needed to get me out of this book funk. Electrifying and unconventional, this book truly encompasses romance in the most vivid sense.
Isaias Di Nascimben is a God. No seriously. Everything he touches is gold. He also happens to be the owner of Lucid, an adult entertainment studio in L.A. He knows his worth and isn’t afraid to tell everyone in the room just who he is. Enter Tatiana. A nun?!! She is left unimpressed by Isaias and his God like attitude. You’d think this would deter him from going after her. Not in the least. It excites him. And he has no idea what he’s in for.
Don’t let the title fool you. Don’t let the blurb tell you everything there is to know about this story. There are depths of layers to this book that I couldn’t have imagined. This is book is an experience and I have to be vague on the details. As a reader, this is the type of story I appreciate. The storyline is complex in it’s revelations with each layer unveiling as the story unfolds. There is an intensity between Isaias and Tatiana that is angsty and seductive at the same time. These two are alluring and I found it impossible to put their story down. Secrets and mystery. Romance and emotions you never see coming, but feel just as deeply. This book is full of suspense as it flawlessly delivers a story that is unexpected yet vital and profound.
Let’s. Talk. Writing. Oh. My. If there is anything I can say that can even adequately describe the author’s writing, it is fearless. She. Takes. Chances. Unapologetic in it’s prose, and daring in its delivery, this book is exactly the reason why I love her work.
“Isaias.” Tatiana’s fingers brush down my temple and my cheek to my mouth. “I need to leave for about an hour. I didn’t want you to worry.”
I blink off my sleep. I’m on the couch in the living room, waiting for my phone to ring with news about Gabriela.
“I can’t let you leave, baby.” I arch my head backward, following the sound of her voice. Her pretty face hovers over me from behind. I reach up, pull her down to me. She sinks to her knees and cradles my face with her hands.
Tatiana allows me to devour her mouth. My tongue delves in, swiping and suckling her into a moan. It’s heart-battering. I breathe faster, and then her exhales become shallow too. I love that sound.
“It’s not safe out there for you.” I lace my fingers into her hair, extending it around our faces. We’re in a tent of silk and warm sugar. “I’d never hold you back if it weren’t for your safety. Because you need to live on. On and on and on with that crazy beauty you are.”
She puffs a quiet laugh against me. “Weirdo.”
“I want you,” I sigh out.
“Tonight, darling. I just need to do this, okay?”
I still her face over me. Nudge it away enough to stare into her eyes. “I’ll come with you.”
“You can’t. It’s nun business.”
“You still think of nuns?”
“My business with the sisterhood doesn’t simply disappear because of an explosion in a church,” she whispers to me.
“Let me at least drive you there.”
I shut my eyes while her soft fingers draw trails down my cheeks. In my adult life, I’ve been touched often and in many ways, but Tatiana’s caresses remain on my skin long after they’re gone.
“Isaias, I’m twenty-seven years old. I’ve been fending for myself for a long time. I’ll be fine, okay?”
I scrunch my eyes shut, knowing I won’t be forcing myself on this stubborn, beautiful, independent woman tonight.
“I’ll be honest with you. I can’t bear the thought of you and Gabriela both out there without my protection.” I pull her down so I can kiss the infinitely soft skin of her throat. “Just let me drive you there. I won’t come in. I’ll, you know, play with my phone and listen to music like some dopy-ass high-school boyfriend until you come out.”
I grew up surrounded by women. I grew up surrounded by macho men too, but they all knew when to yield to their women. It’s why my father’s heart still beats for my mother. It’s why hers stutters every time he’s in danger.
So I let Tatiana go. I stand there on the gravel, hands fisted in my pockets like a douche. At least she accepted my offer of taking the Escalade with the bulletproof windows. She better get used to that, because she’s with Isaias di Nascimbeni. From now on, I’ll make damn sure she never drives anything that can’t repel the bullets of my father’s enemies.
“Fritz,” I shout as soon as she rolls toward the highway. “Get in.”
I walk up to him and point toward another loaner. It’s a joke of a car. Small and grey, it’s unassuming enough to blend in anywhere. I chuck him the key.
“I hold you personally responsible for Tatiana’s wellbeing until she’s back in my arms. Understood?”
“Absolutely, sir. It’s an honor.”
I pitch him my Glock too, and I don’t fucking care how unprecedented that is. He grabs it on reflex, gaze humbled as it meets mine. “Mr. Nascimbeni. I’ve got it. I have my sub.”
I stare him down, willing him to tell me it’ll be enough. Because is it? His stare dims with determination. Then he tosses my gun back. I watch it swirl in the air and find my palm in seconds.
“You’re sure?” My voice doesn’t sound right.
I squint, forcing liquid away from my eyes.
“I will get your woman back to you.”

I always find it refreshing that every time you pick up a Willow Aster book, you know it’s going to be something like you’ve never read. She doesn’t write the same book, twice. Unlike others, each book contains a formula that regardless of it’s ingredients, you leave absolutely satisfied.
Whore. That one word has such a strong meaning. It says so much without saying anything at all. Lilith is the whore in this story. Forced to live a life like this at the hands of her very own mother. She does her job and does it well. No one has ever seen has as more. Until them. Her past. Mob boss, Nico Santelli is certainly intoxicated by Lillith even after all the years of not speaking. A stranger. Soti Christos is quite enamored by Lillith as well. Both with different intentions, but a goal all the same. This is a book with turns you don’t see coming. The unexpected is what drives this story and had me turning the pages. Vague. I know. But I really think every reader should go into this story blind. It makes the experience that much more intoxicating.
The writing is what floored me. The author has this ability to capture you with her words. She effortlessly weaves a story of love and loss. Betrayal, and maybe even redemption. You are absolutely seduced by the pacing of the story as you are hit with every revelation. Beautiful and poetic, the writing still haunts me an entire day later. As I said before, Willow writes the story that no one else writes, but secretly wants to. Whore is the story you don’t see coming. Perhaps your heart isn’t ready for it. Or maybe. Just maybe you should take the chance that it is. Despite any circumstance, any obstacle, love will always remain.

It’s all about her.
I give her a shaky smile and she returns a faint one. I kneel down and sit in front of where her arms are resting on the tile. The water splashes as I put a leg on either side of her.
Her hands drag leisurely up my legs until they reach my waist, and then she pulls hard, until I slip in the water with her. Her smile is full of mischief. My chest might cave in, it’s pounding so hard.
“There. Doesn’t it feel good in here?” She puts her arms around my neck and wraps her legs around my waist.
I grip her thighs, drawing her closer. “Like heaven,” I mutter.
Her hands dig into my hair, as she leans in and gives me the barest whisper of a kiss. Her eyes seem shy, but then she traces my bottom lip with her tongue. She smiles when it becomes obvious just how much her touch controls me.
“I like you, husband,” she whispers.
“I like you, too, my wife,” I whisper against her lips.
Our kiss deepens and I can’t tell if she’s trembling or if it’s me. Our hands are everywhere at once. My tongue twists with hers like it has finally found its favorite place. Our bodies leave no room for doubt. She engraves her name on my heart; I know exactly when it happens. She leans back just long enough to look in my eyes, as if checking to see if this is real. What she sees there reassures her, and we both shake with the knowledge of it. Two lost souls, found.

True - adjective: That which is accurate or exact.
I dare you to try.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I have to admit that I took my time with this one. Logan and Tate have been part of my literary life for so many years and I wanted to savor these last moments with them. Honestly, this book was so much more than I ever could have imagined.
“Exactly …together, not apart. Always and forever, together.”
Yes. This one word changes everything. With a wedding to plan and all the craziness that comes along with it, Logan and Tate are each other’s constant. At all times. After being together for four years, Logan realizes that there is only one true way to solidify their true forever. Life has thrown so much at them, yet their love is relentless against everything they face. Tate realizes this and he must find a way to tell Logan that their love? Their love always prevails. And he wants eternity. With Logan
“I also learned that there’s no point of living if you’re too scared to take what you want, and I want you. All of you.”
Their love knows no time or circumstance. It simply lives where the past doesn’t hurt anymore. Where there their hearts are in sync and beat in a rhythm that only they both know. Their love rebels against the impossible even at those most tumultuous times. But isn’t that the beauty of love? Love remains against hopelessness and pain. Logan and Tate’s love attests to love being life’s best advocate. Regardless of what transpires in life, love goes where it is destined. This book is the epitome of the truth in love.
“That’s what you are. Better than any wish I could’ve made for myself.”
Once again, Ms. Frank delivers an absolute powerhouse of a story manifested in the characters of Logan and Tate. While she ties up loose ends, she remains genuine to not only the characters, but to the story as well. While the physical aspect of Logan and Tate remains passionate and seductive, True is definitely the most romantic books of the entire series. Poetic in the prose, devastatingly beautiful in the execution of the words, this book will overwhelm you with emotions you never saw coming. But isn’t that what love is? Thrilling, intoxicating, breathtaking. Their love is all of that and more. The author’s ability to flawlessly calibrate the story between sexy and tender does not go unnoticed. I was left breathless. Logan and Tate were never perfect, but their ending? It’s perfect for them. And I found it to be quite fitting. I could not have imagined a more perfect way to end their chapter.
“And you what?”
“I wanted everything with you, Tate. God, I’d never wanted it more. And there was only one major way that you weren’t mine.”
Erotic and exhilarating, I was completely immersed into this book every time I laid my eyes on a page. To know their love is a privilege. And to be along for their journey? It was every bit magical and a testament to love in it’s purest form. Profound and awe-inspiring, True is every bit the most vital story of this entire series.
LOVE. IT’S FUNNY how one four-letter word can bring on such an onslaught of emotions. Happiness, desire, anger, even fear, Tate Morrison thought, as he sat at the tiny table in the empty bar of the Lynley Winery and tried to calm his erratic heartbeat. It could make those who were the most honest with their emotions run scared, while at the same time bring forth a determination in the most unlikely of people.
That was something he had discovered ten minutes ago back in their suite when Logan had stood before him naked and uttered, “Just tell me how you want me, Tate. I’m yours.”
That was when he’d run.
Tate had practically tripped over his feet in his hurry to be free of the suddenly suffocating confines of that bathroom. And now, as he sat alone replaying Logan’s words, he stared down at the crumpled paper he’d grabbed from his wallet and studied the words in his shaking hands.
His stomach knotted, then flipped over on itself time and time again, and Tate willed himself to breathe. The last thing he needed was to pass out from a panic attack, but that was exactly what was happening. He was panicking. And the reason? The reason was as clear as day. He was the dumbest motherfucker on the planet. Yeah, he was.
Fucking hell. He’d heard that love made people do some stupid shit before, but this… God, what if I can’t fix this? What if Logan doesn’t want me like that anymore? The thought made him want to be sick. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to stop the room from spinning, but all that did was bring to mind Logan back in the bathroom, beautiful as always, looking at Tate for some kind of indication of what was running through his head. And what had Tate given him? Nothing. He’d just fled.
Tate shoved the piece of paper into his pocket, along with the pen he’d grabbed from the side table back in their suite, no longer able to look at it. What had he done to them? How had he let fear of the unknown possibly ruin this? And as the memories flooded him again…
I dare you to try.
I think you’re my truth.
…he was more than aware that it was that one, the last one, that didn’t have the right ending. He’d really messed this up, but he could make it right and wanted to, more than he wanted his next breath.
He placed his head in his hands and shut his eyes, trying to gather some semblance of control so he could go back, find Logan, and do the one thing he realized he should’ve done all along. It wasn’t until he heard the sound of padded feet on the hardwood floor that he looked up to see that he didn’t need to go and find Logan, because he had tracked Tate down instead.
With the fire flickering behind him, the sharp angles of Logan’s cheeks and jaw only enhanced a face Tate loved more than he thought possible, and when Logan pulled out the chair opposite him and reached across the table to take his hands, Tate couldn’t believe it had taken his brain this long to catch up and get to where it now firmly was.
“Hey,” Logan said, his eyes roaming over Tate’s face, no doubt for signs, clues as to why he’d run away.
“Hey,” Tate replied, and then lowered his gaze to their hands, marveling over the strength he found there when they were joined.
Exactly…together, not apart. Always and forever, together.
“What are you doing out here?” Logan asked, and Tate swallowed as he felt Logan tighten his grip.
“Tate?” Logan said before Tate could give any kind of response. “What are you doing out here?”
Tate withdrew his hand and ran it through his hair, and as Logan continued to watch him, he felt his nerves kick in. “Back there in the bathroom…” he started, and then stopped. As he thought over his words, Tate wondered if there was even a way to explain how badly he’d screwed this all up, but knew the only way he’d ever know was to try. “I had a thought. It was more of a moment, I guess. A flash of us. Of all we are and will be and— Shit, I sound crazy, don’t I?”
Logan’s eyes narrowed, but he shook his head. “You don’t sound crazy. But you are freaking me out a little. Were the things you were thinking good things, at least?”
Tate frowned and then shot Logan an apologetic look. The last thing Tate wanted was to worry him more—it was the exact opposite. “Yeah, of course. I should’ve probably started with that. Everything about you was good. Perfect, really, but me…”
“What about you? You’re pretty fucking perfect from where I’m sitting. And back there in that bathroom, trust me, you looked better than any of those naked statues on the wall.”
Tate tried for a smile but knew he didn’t quite pull it off when Logan asked, “What is it, Tate? Come on; you know you can tell me anything.”
Okay, this is it, Tate thought, as he swallowed and then shifted in his seat, glancing over at the fire for a moment to gather his nerve. Then he turned back to Logan and asked, “Am I too late?”
At Logan’s confused expression, Tate knew he didn’t understand what he was asking. So he reached into his pocket where he’d shoved the piece of paper, and then put it on the table. He smoothed his hand over it, lovingly tracing his fingers over the name he now wanted as his own, and then pushed it over in front of Logan.
As Logan stared down at it, Tate watched him read over the words on the paper, waiting for a reaction, and when Logan looked up, Tate asked again, “Am I too late?”
Logan blinked several times, and Tate held his breath, wondering if he was too late. But then something miraculous happened: Logan shook his head.
The blood rushing around Tate’s head made his ears ring as he tried to comprehend what Logan was telling him, but he still hadn’t said a word, so Tate pulled the pen from his pocket and leaned over to circle the name he hadn’t been able to stop looking at ever since he’d found the piece of paper.
As Logan looked down again, Tate saw a huge grin split his lips. “So what do you think? Can the world handle two Mr. Mitchells?”

Parker Reeves has had a really bad year.
Trouble at home, trouble at school… pretty much trouble in general.
On top of everything else wrong in his life, he’s sent away to the small town of Concord where he knows no one and is set to have a nonexistent social life.
Just when he thought his life couldn’t get any worse, he met her.
The girl next door is about to teach Parker that sometimes a summer can change your life.
I have always been a reader. All my life. The girl at the library. The girl asking the librarians for new books. But lately? I’ve been in a rut. Everything sounds the same. And then comes along this book. THIS BOOK. Life. Changing.
Parker Reeves is just down on his luck. It’s just not his year. His mom has shipped him off to live his dad in a really small town. No friends. Nothing to do. Just a Summer with a father he barely knows. Every day is a struggle. He vows to make the next day count, but he can’t seem to be inspired to so do. Until he meets the girl next door, Summer. Sounds cliché right? This story is anything but. Summer is not your normal teenager. She is hiding something, but has decided to make the best of what life has thrown at her. And Parker is along for the ride.
“…and anything Summer touched seemed to radiate with light, love, and happiness.”
The connection between Parker and Summer was palpable. Their friendship was genuine and the development of their relationship was absolutely breathtaking. I refuse to place any spoilers in my review, but this is a definite must read. You LIVE through this book. Every encounter. Every lesson learned. And ultimately the fall. To fall in love with your best friend is a gift. Neither one took for granted.
“You’re going to do so much good, Parker Reeves. I can feel it in my bones.”
“You make me want to be one of the good ones.”
The writing. The writing. THE. WRITING. Seamless. Flawless. Intoxicating. Where has this author been hiding? I never wanted to put this book down. It flowed effortlessly. There was never a lull. I felt engaged from the very first page. I knew I was going to love this book by Chapter One. And by Chapter Two? I had already fallen in love with Parker and Summer. The execution was brilliant. The storyline unique and truly inspiring. The characters. They are everything that everyone should strive to be.
“You love me?”
“Without a doubt.”
Dear Summer was seriously one of the most exhilarating reads of my life. There are lessons in this story. Poignant and life changing, the magic of this book is deeply rooted in the magnificence of Parker and Summer. To live life without abandon. To love recklessly and whole heartedly. This book spoke to my soul in ways I can never portray in words. I cried. Oh boy did I cry. Because the intensity of them and their lives are so relevant to today. Overwhelmed with just the impact these characters have made on me. This book reminds me of why I love YA. It’s a story told in such honesty you feel it in your bones. If there is one book you read this year, make it this one.

Once upon a time, a girl loved a boy and he loved her back. They lived happily ever after.
But our story was never that simple.
I loved Josh with all I had, right until the day he left. Now, all these years later, he was backâand wanting me the way Iâd always longed for him. Except now, I belonged to someone else. Someone who never left me the way Josh had. I figured that was the end of our story. I couldnât alter the past.
I didnât want to rewrite my future.
Brianna was always more than my best friend. She was the shining light in my black hole of an existence, and I loved her with every cell and bone in my body. I wasnât good enough for her, thoughâmore the villain than the hero in our fairy tale. When I had to leave, I vowed to come back a better manâfor her. But when I finally did return, she wasnât waiting for me anymore. She had someone new, her very own Prince Charming. Did that mean our story was over? I couldn't change our past.
It was time to rewrite our ending.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Iâll be honest. My favorite genre is romance. So I can easily say that Iâve read them all. Every trope. Circumstance. Twist. But when it comes to Stephanie Roseâs writing, thereâs always something fresh about it. THIS. BOOK. Her writing is remarkably romantic. Her characters embed themselves in the heart of the reader. Every declaration of love left me with chills. Overwhelming. Exhilarating. Rewrite was the love letter one writes in never forgetting about their first love.
"I met the love of my life when I was five years old."
Josh and Brianna have been friends since they can both remember. Theyâve always had this intense connection. Neither one acted upon it for fear of ruining what they have. Despite Joshâs leave over the years they remain closer than ever. Josh left to be come a better man. And when he returns, Brianna is in the arms of another. Thereâs something different this time. Worthy or not, Josh isnât willing to give up. This wasnât the end of them. Thereâs more to their story. And heâs determined to change their ending.
"I loved him from the deepest part of my soul, but in silence."
This is so much more than a second chance romance. It echoes the beauty in finding the one the heart loves the most. Without going into detail, this is no love triangle. Josh and Brianna never tell you about their love. They allow you to feel it through their words and actions. These two have the kind of love that will have set your literary heart a flutter. Their love is infinite. Unwavering. Their love persevered. Through each obstacle, twist and turn their love remained absolute. Their story consumed me. Palpable. Unequivocal. This story is love in itâs most honest form.
"There was never a single second I didnât belong to you. All I ever wanted was you."
Exquisitely written, Rewrite is a manifestation of one of the greatest love stories ever told. My heart is racing just thinking back at just how this story moved me. The emotional journey of their love story is one I will never forget. Flawless in itâs delivery, the story is skillfully written by an author with immense talent in romance writing. This is demonstrated in not only the crafting of the storyline, but in the development of her characters. You canât help but root for Josh and Brianna from the beginning because the author simply places you in the depths of every emotion displayed. To put it simply, the authorâs incomparable talent of producing such intimate and relevant storylines remains the reason why she will forever be on my must read now shelf. If anyone were to ask me the book that left me breathless this year? Iâd recommend this one. Unreservedly
âThis place is amazing, Josh.â
My chest swelled with pride as Briannaâs widened eyes darted around the shop. Maybe it wasnât really my place, but Uncle Billy trusted me enough to run it on my own. I hired the employees, handled the books, and met with customers. He depended on me instead of waiting for me to fuck up. The local troublemaker came back and made good, but that wasnât such an easy sell for everyone. Good thing I didnât give a shit about everyone. The only opinion that ever mattered stood in front of me, beaming with pride.
My mouth split in a wide grin. âThanks. Itâs getting there. Hoping things pick up a little after the holidays. No one wants a new bike when thereâs an inch of ice on the ground.â I laughed until Briannaâs face fell.
âCan I ask you something?â She slid into the chair in my office as her lips pursed.
âOf course.â I leaned my hip against the edge of my desk and crossed my arms. âWhatâs up, Cupcake?â
âDid . . . did you really have a new client in Manhattan last week, when you drove me to work?â
I took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. âWhy would you ask that?â
âScott and Iââ She shook her head and waved her hand. âItâs nothing. Donât mind me.â
âNo.â I nudged her ankle with my foot. âLet me guess. Scott isnât too happy about me hanging around so much.â I raised an eyebrow.
Brianna reluctantly nodded. âItâs a guy thing, I guess.â She chuckled to herself. âThey get territorial if someone else tries to play with their toys.â She laughed until she realized what she said and then covered her mouth with her eyes huge. She was so fucking cute I couldnât stand it. âI didnât mean play, I meant . . .â She dropped her head into her hands, and I couldnât hold in a laugh anymore.
âCâmon, Bri. Iâm dying to know.â I peeled her fingers away from her face and crouched in front of her. âWhat did you mean? Scott thinks I want to play with you? Donât tell him about the GI Joe and Barbie castle we made when we were kids. Heâll flip the fuck out.â Her cheeks flushed as she nudged my shoulder.
I caught her hand and held it in both of mine. As our gazes locked, laughter stopped. There was no way in hell what I was feeling was only one-sided. I doubted it ever was.
We didnât talk about it, but I remembered every moment of that night at my apartment. Brianna rushing over to take care of me, the tortured look on her face when I asked her to get into bed with me. It wasnât my finest hour, but I needed her. My soul cried out for her that night and she came, like she always did. She may have ignored my wimpy confession, but when she said she loved me, I knew she didnât mean as only her best friend.
âJosh,â Brianna pleaded on a whisper. âDonât, please.â
âDonât please what, Bri?â Feeling brazen, I tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and cupped her cheek. I ran my thumb along the delicate curve of her jaw. Her eyes fluttered, urging me on. âDonât touch you?â I let my finger drift over her full bottom lip. âDonât kiss you?â I whispered with a husky rasp. Our faces were so close, our lips brushed. Briannaâs mouth parted, and I uttered a curse under my breath. We were so damn close. All we had to do was close that distance. Her hand drifted up my shoulder and clutched the back of my neck.
âJosh,â Brianna sighed as she rested her forehead against mine. âWe . . . We canât.â Her hand drifted down my jaw. Her hooded eyes and flushed cheeks disagreed with the words sputtering from her mouth. I caught her hand and pressed a soft kiss to her palm. It trembled as she took in a quick gasp.
âYes, we can, Bri,â I whispered as I leaned in. âYouâre so damn beautiful.â Shit, I almost tasted her. She stilled as I cupped her neck and inched closer.

"Heartbreaking...inspiring, uplifting and raw..." ― RT Book Reviews, A 5-star Gold Pick
A broken woman . . .
Crystal learned long ago that love brings only pain. Feeling nothing at all is far better than being hurt again. She guards her wounded heart behind a hard exterior and carries within her a deep mistrust of men, who, in her experience, have only ever used and taken.
A man in need of help . . .
Then Gabriel Dalton walks into her life. Despite the terrible darkness of his past, there's an undeniable goodness in him. And even though she knows the cost, Crystal finds herself drawn to Gabriel. His quiet strength is wearing down her defenses and his gentle patience is causing her to question everything she thought she knew.
Only love can mend a shattered heart . . .
Crystal and Gabriel never imagined that the world, which had stolen everything from them, would bring them a deep love like this. Except fate will only take them so far, and now the choice is theirs: Harden their hearts once again or find the courage to shed their painful pasts.

When I first read the blurb, I knew immediately that I needed to read this book. Mia writes romance with her heart and soul. She writes of the impossible love becoming the greatest love. She writes with the most beautiful and refined prose. And this book? It was no different. It went beyond what I ever imagined.
Crystal guards her heart against all things. Men especially. She refuses to allow heartbreak to shatter her again. But when Gabriel Dalton enters her life, he comes roaring through with his gentle spirit and patience Crystal never knew existed. But Gabriel carries a burden A dark past. So when the guards come down and fate intervenes, do they fight for what they have? Or go on in life like this love never existed?
Most Of All You was a powerful, heart wrenching, emotional read. Devastatingly beautiful and utterly breathtaking, there are not enough words to adequately describe how much this story moved me. I refuse to go into detail as nothing I say can truly describe the power that is within this book. Love and darkness. Heartbreak. This is nothing like you’ve ever read. Forget the typical broken girl meets man with dark past trope. This is. SO. Much. More. The writing is poetic and heartfelt. The characters are brilliantly developed as this thoughtful and bewitching storyline unfolds. This story embodies romance in the most honest and genuine manner. This is a definite must read.

I swallowed heavily, my mouth going dry as I took in the masculine beauty of his practically naked body. He was…divine. That was the word that immediately came to mind. Divine. Angelic. Godly.
My gaze soaked in his strong, broad shoulders, the tight, lean muscles of his chest, the taut ripples of his stomach. As if my eyes were drawn to him like a magnet, they moved down his chest to his muscled thighs, his well-formed calves and then back up to his boxers, where the outline of his male anatomy was just barely visible against the thin material.
My core clenched, wetness pooling between my thighs. I blinked, completely unaccustomed to this kind of reaction when it came to a man’s body. I wanted to simultaneously run away and step toward him, to reach out and trail a finger down his chest the way I’d just run a finger over the tiny stone bird.
“My father made that.”
“W-what?” God, my voice sounded too breathy, too stunned.
He crossed his arms over his chest, obviously self-conscious about his state of undress. He gave a quick nod downward. “Sorry, I didn’t know you’d be up.”
Again, my eyes moved to his bare chest. There was a sparse trail of hair under his belly button leading into the waistband of his boxers. My eyes leapt back up to his, and I practically gulped, sure he had heard it when his eyebrows twitched slightly.
I turned my head, my heart beating so loudly in my own ears I was sure he could hear that, too, even from where he stood. “It’s only fair, I suppose,” I murmured.
“Now we’ve both seen each other half-naked.”
Gabriel tilted his head, assessing me in some mysterious way. He suddenly turned and walked back toward his room. I stood rooted to the spot, confused, when he returned just as quickly as he’d left, pulling a T-shirt over his head. He walked toward me, coming to stand directly in front of where I stood. His expression was slightly shy, slightly teasing. “I hope…that if we see each other naked again, it won’t be a job, or an accident. It will be because we both want it, and because it means something.”
Visions swirled through my mind, unbidden: tangled limbs and twisted sheets. Heat filled my veins, blood pumping between my legs. It was too much. It was…out of my control and it scared me. I didn’t want to think of Gabriel that way, couldn’t think of Gabriel that way. In truth, had never thought of any man that way. “Mean something?” My voice was a mere whisper.
He nodded, his expression going serious, his eyes filled with sudden gravity. His hand slowly moved up to my hair, and he brushed a piece back from my face. His hand lingered, his knuckle brushing gently down my cheekbone. My breath hitched at the subtle touch. His full lips parted slightly, those angel eyes moving over my features as if he was memorizing me, memorizing the moment. I was spellbound, caught once again in his gaze. No one had ever looked at me the way Gabriel was right then, not in all my life.
“Yes.” It was all he said, leaving me to try to comprehend his meaning. But of course getting naked always meant something. A bribe, a paycheck, a coercion, a means to an end…only I knew very well Gabriel didn’t mean any of those things, and it was impossible to convince myself he could. I already knew better. And I didn’t want to think about what getting naked would mean to Gabriel because the very idea filled me with terror and an aching, needy want. But mostly terror.

As the synopsis indicates, Cassidy Porter wants nothing more than to live off the grid. Away from people where his life has no bearing on anyone else’s. That is until he begins to fall for Brynn Cadogan. Despite their pasts, they are drawn to each other in ways neither can comprehend. This is an extremely character driven story in that the writer brilliantly captures their voices to allow the reader to become embedded in the story itself. These two have been through some imaginable events. And the fact that they could even love as deeply as they do truly indicate the power of their love and all it entails. My heart raced, I simply couldn’t put this one down.
Unloved is a true testament to the incomparable talent of romance writing Katy Regnery truly holds. You will FEEL your heart break for Cassidy and Brynn. You experience, their highs and lows. As well as their feelings of loss and despair. There is a spark between these two that ignites the moment they meet. Neither one ever felt like they could want more in life until they met. I don’t want to give away any details at all. This is one for the reader to truly experience. This story is emotional and beautifully honest. Palpable and gritty at times, Unloved is a definite must read of this year. This profound love story left a mark on me I will never forget.

Beth Caplan is a survivor. Once shattered by a decision that she can never forget, she is determined to enjoy all that college life has to offer. David March is Beth’s brother’s best friend. When he finds that Beth is enrolling at the same college, he makes it known that he will do everything in his power to protect her. To make sure she’s safe. He just didn’t know he’d be sacrificing his heart in the process. While her past comes crashing back, Beth is determined not to break. Not again.
“This feeling- this is what is most dangerous. Because I could become addicted to this.”
David and Beth were like magnets on every page. Every word, every scene, it was simply electricity flowing through the story. While their relationship is seen as off-limits, that did nothing to take away from the fact of how drawn these two were to each other. My heart raced as I felt each intense emotion of their desire. Completely enthralled by the depth of their story, you can’t help but feel that Beth and David were simply magic on the pages. There was a push and pull that kept me inherently invested in their triumphs and their times of heartbreak. This. Will. Move. You.
“Do you know that I love you?”
Despite being off limits, David’s love rebelled against anything logical. He pursued her heart in the only way he could, by guarding it. He loved in silence. In secret. But his love was no less felt. Loving Beth could cost him so much, yet the thought of not loving her was never really an option. It was so much more than the typical brother’s best friend romance. When loving someone, you abandon all regard and everything that comes with them. It reminds you that love can come at a price, but it’s worth the cost.
“It’s imprinted into every goddammned day of my life, every fucking thought – caring about you more than I should.”
Ms. Pearl is a master of crafting stories that speak for the voiceless. For those that live in silence. She writes their stories with a grace and understanding in a way that very few are capable of. Inspiring in it’s execution, thought provoking in its unraveling, there are not enough stars to truly capture the magnitude of the sheer beauty and bravery this story holds. Bewitched by the devastating beauty of the author’s romantic and refined prose, I was absolutely lost in the story of David and Beth. I never wanted to put this one down! Palpable, meticulously written, In Pieces is love in its most powerful form.
