Blog Tour: Never Stop Falling by Ashley Drew, Stacy's review and Giveaway! @ashleydrew88_ @XpressoReads
I really enjoyed this book a lot. It’s just one of those deeply emotional reads that is also really sweet and honest. I was pretty much hooked from the prologue, it really grabs you and makes you get comfortable for the long haul, I read this book in one day and it was hard to put down. This was a great debut novel by Ashley Drew.
This book is told in first person with dual POV’s and is broken up into segments of past and present, and this I loved! Corinne and Nicholas have known each other since they were young, so you really need to know how this friendship developed over the years. They are best friends and the Author does a great job of prolonging the inevitable, I crave good build up and this book definitely had that.
The connection these two have is so amazing and their chemistry is even better. The feelings that Corinne and Nicholas have for each other is so obvious, so the whole time you’re just waiting for someone to make a move. And when it finally comes it’s so great! I love that feeling I get when I read a first kiss, especially when it’s friends to lovers. There’s just something about finally giving in to your temptations in uncharted territory that makes me get all girly and stupid.
And of course that feeling was short lived, because Corinne is given some news that just tears her apart and this is the only part that bothered me. Not because it wasn’t written well, because the writing was great! I guess it was more Corinne that bugged me a little. I know she was upset, but I found her behavior a little immature and over dramatic. But it did deliver some good angst, so I’m not too mad, ha! And as a whole, I really did enjoy both characters a lot. Nicholas is just the best guy around.
Overall this was a very good read, and when Corinne finally gets the courage to face hers fears I was actually gritting my teeth, because I didn’t know how everything was going to go down. And there are definitely some twisty elements that will have you thinking for sure. I really loved how everything played out in the end, and I am so impressed that this was the Authors first novel. I am definitely going to read whatever she writes next.
Three book besties who love to read and discuss books. We are addicted to all kinds of romance with Alpha Hero's, Kick-ass Heroine's and plenty of angst.
