**I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review**
Having been a huge fan of Amber Lynn Natusch's Caged Series, I knew I'd be in for an emotional, action packed ride with Undertow. As with her Caged series, this author definitely pulls you right into the world of these characters and makes you fall head over heels for them.
I generally try not to delve too deeply into the plots of the books I review because I hate spoilers, especially when it's a book as wonderful as I felt this one to be. There are so many elements to this book, so many significant moments,
that I would hate to give even the slightest thing away. What I will do is go on a bit about what I loved about this book and why I love this author!
I loved the characters. They were each very relatable with very real flaws. They were authentic and it was extremely easy to become attached to them. I loved the writing. This author truly has a way with words and sometimes I was so wrapped up in her story that I forgot I was even reading a book. I loved the perfect mixture of angst, excitement, romance, and action. Undertow really has it all and this book has left such an impression on me.
I loved that the setting of this novel was one like I had never read before. And if you would have asked me before reading this if I found fishermen to be sexy, I probably would have said no. Well Ms. Natusch has definitely changed my view on this! Decker was incredible and one of my favorite male leads lately. I loved the message of forgiveness that encompassed this novel. It was truly a lovely story and definitely brought out the crybaby in me many times. Again, this author's writing is fantastic and, whether it's urban fantasy or contemporary romance, I will be reading anything she puts out in the future. Don't pass this one up!
If you're dying to know more about me, allow me to put you at ease. I'm a sharp-tongued, sarcastic cancer, who loves vegetable smoothies, winter storms, and the word 'portfolio'. I should NEVER be caffeinated, and require at least eight hours of sleep to even resemble a human being. At thirty-four, I just now feel like I can keep a straight face while saying the word "rectum" (which is actually a huge lie because I just laughed out loud while reading this to my husband). I live with my iPod firmly affixed to my body, drive too fast, and laugh/cry at inappropriate times. I'm obsessed with urban fantasy... When I discovered that genre, I knew I had found my tribe. Now I write in that world because
that's what the voices in my head tell me to do. And they are very, very loud.
