Lily, you predictable perv. I knew you’d open this email faster if I tempted you with a glimpse of JT's “PP”. Well, put your pants back on and grab some bubbly because I have much better news to share.
I GOT A JOB!
As of tomorrow, I’ll be the new executive assistant at Lorena Lefray Designs. I am SO excited, but there’s one itty bitty problem: I won’t be Lorena’s assistant. I’ll be working for her older brother, Julian.
I know what you're thinking- "But Jo, what’s the problem?"
Google him. Now. He’s the man in the fitted navy suit whose face reminds you that there’s hope yet for this cruel, ugly world. Keep scrolling…Do you see those dimples? Yup. That’s the Julian Lefray I will be reporting to tomorrow morning.
Lord, help us all...

When I am in the mood to be completely engrossed in a story full of fun, sexy, witty humor, I usually read (or reread) this author’s work. The Allure of Julian Lefray was no different. I loved every moment from the first page to the very last word.
Josephine (Jo) Keller leaves her small town in Texas for NYC. She is a fashion blogger and is determined to make it big in the city. Especially since she is super broke. She learns of an executive assistant position to Lorena Lefray Designs and gets it after she makes quite the impression. The problem lies in the fact that she will actually be the assistant to Lorena Lefray’s brother, Julian LeFray. Once you meet Julian you will understand why this is a problem. A big one.
As Jo and Julian begin to work closely together, the attraction does not go unnoticed. They easily fall for one another as time goes on. Their chemistry is intoxicating. Their banter will have you laughing out loud. You may think twice about reading this in public. The author is brilliant in her craft of truly developing her characters. She places you in their story. You become attached. Engrossed in their lives. And you may never want to leave. This is exactly how I felt about this story.
The Allure of Julian Lefray is not like any other girl falls for boss story. The author strategically puts her own fresh spin on their relationship. Jo is fun and sassy. She is also probably one of the funniest heroines I’ve ever read. If only I could be as quirky and witty like her. And Julian? Words fail to truly describe him. Not only is he devastatingly handsome, but he’s intelligent, funny, and caring. My only hiccup with this story was the time it took for Jo and Julian to truly admit their feelings. I would’ve liked to see them together more. However, I am hoping (begging!) the author for more Jo and Julian as I am not ready to see them go.
I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way, I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday.
I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors include Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.

“When I was with him, there were no consequences.”
Scoring Wilder was THE book of the Summer for me. I did not put that book down once. Not one time! It was the perfect mix of sweet, sexy, and funny. I loved every single minute of it!
Freshman Kinsley Bryant is new to her college soccer team. She has hopes and dreams of someday making it to the Olympics. Yes. She is THAT good. Her love life? Not so much. With her not so great past with men, she is almost ready to swear off men for good. Until Liam Wilder. Liam is pretty much sex on a stick. Known for being a bad boy and womanizer, Liam also plays professional soccer. From the moment he meets Kinsley, his world stops. But there’s a small (BIG!) catch. He’s her coach. A relationship with him beyond soccer player and coach is absolutely forbidden. Kinsley knows that her main focus should be soccer and getting into the Olympics tryouts. Liam knows that he needs to be the soccer team’s coach to put his image back into good graces. He knows what a relationship with Kinsley would do to her image and to hers. But as we all know the heart never listens to the brain. Stupid heart.
“He was the northern star. I had no choice but to become enveloped in his brightness and let it coax me toward him. Wanting him was an unconscious impulse, like taking my next breath.”
The connection between Kinsley and Liam is undeniable and incomparable. Finally a hero and heroine with genuine chemistry! It was so much fun getting to know them. To watch them fall irrevocably and hopelessly in love. As much as they try to fight their desires, the pull between them is too strong. They know the consequences of their relationship, but what does the heart know about that? Absolutely nothing. The heart only sees love and desire. Love goes where it belongs, no matter the circumstances. No matter the boundaries.
As I write this review, I am still reeling over Scoring Wilder. It has been a very long time where I found myself completely lost in the story. Real life was put on hold indefinitely until I finished. It was funny, it was quirky, it was genius! I laughed. (SO HARD!) I swooned. I absolutely could not get enough. Every single character added depth to the story. The banter, the wit, the dialogue was just amazing. It was also quite sexy. Liam Wilder. He is beyond words. You feel his inner struggle with his feelings over Kinsley. You want nothing more than to root for him. To root for his happiness. It seems like he has always been coaxing through life. Until Kinsley. With her, he is living.
Scoring Wilder was such an amazing and refreshing read! It was flawlessly written. It was so different than the angst and drama filled romance stories lately. It was SO much more than that! It didn’t need any extra drama or angst to build up the story. THAT is how good it was. It reminds us that your heart will always want whomever it desires. That love isn’t easy, but SO worth it. Take risks. Take chances. Love waits for nothing. I am such a huge fan of this author. This story has shown me how multi faceted she is with her writing. That she can make you laugh until it hurts or make you FEEL until its so hard to breathe. If you are a fan of this author, Scoring Wilder is a must! And if you are not, it is time to rectify that problem. She is not an author to be missing out on.

Excuse me while I am still wiping the tears from my face over this book. It's over and I am still crying. Why? Because it was just that beautiful. It took my breath away. Piece by piece. And broke my heart. And put it back together.
"Am I allowed to love you?"
Abby and Beckham (Beck) embark on a road trip that would forever change their lives. To tell you why, would be an injustice. This is not the type of book you read, you experience it. You take in every single detail. What I can tell you is that the kind of love in this book is like no other. It is so deep, meaningful. Beautiful. Abby and Beck met in the most unconventional way ever-and I LOVED it. As the synopsis tells you, Abby faced death, but was given another chance at life. Meeting Beck was also another chance at life. A chance to believe in life and all it has to offer. To believe in humanity again. To believe in love. And it's beautiful existence.
"Staring at each other over that bonfire, it became clear that there were one million ways to view the world, but that Beck and I saw everything in the same wave length. Like life was one big private joke."
Why yes, the tears are still rolling. This deep and meaningful story moved me in ways I did not see coming. To be honest, it's off to a slow start and while I enjoyed the banter between Abby and Beck, I was not fully invested in their story. However, that did not last long at all. To truly feel this story, I totally understand why the author wrote the beginning as she did. Their connection built slowly and then you felt it. Abby and Beck connect on a level that most characters in stories cannot come close to. Their emotions and feelings, raw and genuine.
“I love you with this heart.”
With This Heart is one of the most beautiful, heartfelt, thought provoking stories I've read this year. You are taken on a journey with two adults that fall recklessly, irrevocably in love. Their road trip is just part of their story, there is so much more. This story is about love, live, loss and finding oneself. That no matter what life throws at you, you live and you love. HARD. Existing is easy, but to live, that is what life is about. But to love? To truly know love. That is what living is all about. With This Heart attests to that. This is a complete story with no cliffhanger, however I would absolutely love if Abby and Beck's story continued.
