“So… I like to try a little bit of everything and everyone.”
“I’d like to try you.”
Wowza!! This book absolutely floored me. This is my very first time reading a m/m series, and to be honest I was kind of anxious about reading it. I LOVE Ella Frank’s writing to a fault, so I knew I would enjoy that aspect of it. What surprised me the most was that I loved every single possible thing about this story! Logan Mitchell and Tate Morrison have completely stolen a part of my heart, I want these two to be here right in front of me so I can hug them both, and maybe slap Logan a little! I want them to be real sooooooo badly just so I can ask them questions and live as their friend, that’s not too much to ask is it? I thought I might feel weird about the m/m stuff but I did NOT at all. I found myself completely enraptured in this beautiful story of temptation and passion and NEED. And the avenues in which we must go through in order to find acceptance, not only through others but within ourselves. This book is AMAZING!!!!!! It will teach you something about yourself that you never knew existed. I have no clue what that is, but that’s okay because I can feel it. I know it’s there.
Logan Mitchell is a very successful, cocky, arrogant lawyer who screams alpha male and I absolutely love him!! He will drive you mad at times, but it’s somewhat irresistible. Logan isn’t shy about his sexual appetite or the fact that his past includes men and women. And his current path is headed straight towards Tate Morrison, the hot sexy bartender with olive skin and a head of hair to die for. Tate just happens to swing the wrong way, and is also fresh out of a divorce with a woman. Does this deter Logan from his quest of the olive skinned god in which he wants? Nope! It’s full steam ahead for Logan and he most definitely is not going to be giving up on Tate. Especially since the first time he saw him sparks were flying all over the place. And as much as Tate wants to deny it, he can’t. He felt it too, which not only scared the shit out of him but intrigued him as well. And let me tell you people…
“Christ, it’s official. I have a hard-on for a straight guy. That’s just terrific.”
It’s gonna get hot in here… like super hot. Just be careful where you read this book. I’m not kidding. Don’t read this in the grocery store, or in the church parking lot. Like for real, just stay home.
“Batter up! I want to play with some balls.”
From Tate and Logan’s very first meeting, you realize that people “us” in general have walls up that symbolize things that we ourselves aren’t even sure of. Tate isn’t gay, Tate is labeling himself without even realizing it. Like many of us do. This story is unbelievably entrancing in the fact that I never once questioned what I was reading, I just let myself become a part of these two men completely. And to watch the transformation from pure hesitation turn into pure want and need was totally amazing. I’m not sure how Ella did that but I’m 100% certain that she is a writing genius. I mean I’ve always known this, LOL but now you will too! This book will crack you up as well, Logan is so witty and conceited it’s hilarious! And Tate is just as witty, but more on the cute side. It takes a little more to get the good stuff out of Tate, but if anyone can do it. Logan can, and he does.
“Every time we do this, it convinces me that I’m exactly where I need to be.”
“You don’t wait around when you see something you want, and you don’t stop until you’re… absolutely… fucking… satisfied.”
As you go through this wonderfully intoxicating story of growth and passion and love… yes love. You realize that nothing is as it seems, and yet everything is as it seems. Logan and Tate go through the pitfalls of realizations that they finally admit to being okay. While dealing with the fear of what Tate’s family will think, to not giving a crap about what they think. You go through a lot of different emotions with these two, but it’s all worth it. This was such a breath of fresh air for me. This story will not leave my head for quite some time, and I CANNOT wait for the next book. This is hands down one of the best books that I’ve read this year without a doubt.
“I want the man who sat down across from me and changed the way I look at the world. And if that’s wrong, then I’m confused because when I’m near you, it feels so damn right.”
“Everything I want, and everything I crave, is you.”
“You, me. Us.”
“Us. I like the sound of that.”
